Highlights
Explore the natural beauty and scenic locations in the Highlands
Have time to tour Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery (optional)
Ride in a comfortable 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach
Avoid the hassles of driving and car rentals
What to expect
Your full-day excursion sets off from Edinburgh in the morning. Meet your guide in the city center and take a comfortable seat in a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach. Enjoy morning views of the city as you cross the Forth Road Bridge, one of the world's longest cantilever bridges. Cruise through the Lowlands into the Highlands, where farmland gives way to mountains and thick forests, the setting for many historic tales such as ‘Birnam Wood’ in Macbeth. Your first stop is the Hermitage, a natural wonderland, for a stroll through fir-lined paths along the River Braan. After your nature walk, climb back in the coach for a drive through the River Tay valley. Admire the winding river—the longest in Scotland—as you make your way to the charming town of Pitlochry. Here, enjoy free time to explore this popular vacation destination. Admire the architecture as you stroll past small shops and eateries, then grab lunch (own expense), and pop into a local whisky distillery.  Next, enjoy tasting the 'water of life' at Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery (or Glenturret Distillery if Dewar's is closed). The day finishes with a visit to Dunkeld Cathedral and the scenic areas of Dunkeld, Perth, and Kinross. After a day of sightseeing, relax for the ride back to Edinburgh, arriving at Waterloo Place in the evening.

Perfect choice for a day tour if you're in Scotland for the first time
Sep 2020
We took this tour in early September. Even though there was only the two of us, the tour started, Rabbies guarantees departures which is a huge advantage when planning a holiday. Our guide, Ally, had a deep knowledge of Scotland, its history, culture, plants and animals etc. We had a lovely day on the tour and learned a lot about Scotland.

Perfect Trip
I took two trips with them, one from Glasgow and another one two days later from Edinburgh. I had a fabulous time! The guides Stewart and Gavin were very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. They also had their own personalized music list.
The minivan was not crowded and we stayed with our masks on (and AC on too) throughout the trip, while inside. It wasn’t uncomfortable at all.
I couldn’t have chosen a better company to introduce me to Scotland. Next year I hope to take their overnight trips to Orkney and to Sky.
Many thanks to the entire team!

Incredible tour, wonderful guides!!
Dec 2019
For our first trip to Scotland we wanted to do several tours, two within Edinburgh and this tour to go out to see the highlands. I CANNOT recommend this tour enough! To start off Rabbie's has a cafe where the bus picks up so if you are leaving early in the morning you don't have to fret about grabbing a bite to eat or hitting the toilet before you head to the starting location.
Our guide was Duncan and he had Graham as well to help him. Both guides were beyond friendly.
Duncan was funny, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for places to check out at our stops. The towns and the views you get to see on this tour are breathtakingly beautiful. On the way back a few of the other passengers took the opportunity to nap after a long day of touring but I stayed up and listened to Duncan tell the story of Mary Queen of Scots and it was fascinating, I ended up watching the movie on the flight back home to learn more. My partner and I agreed that Duncan made this tour great and this tour undoubtedly was the highlight of our trip to Scotland!

Thanks Jim Scott for a great tour!
We spent the day seeing some of the natural beauty Scotland has to offer, and then ended the tour tasting whisky straight from the cask. Fun time!
The photography tips were a cool added bonus. Gracias 😊

Wonderful Rabbis tour by Henry
Mar 2020 • Couples
The tour was incredible! I’ve been to a few Whisky distilleries and Dewars Aberfeldy was one of my favorites. Thankfully it was a nice day, not too windy or rainy so our walks were perfect. There were options for where we wanted to eat/see in the places we stopped. Henry was great, really knowledgable and he had us laughing the whole time!

Good
The weather on the particular day was not so good and our guide told us that the Scottish would describe it as "dreich" weather.

The tour was not very hectic and we were not bus bound for long bours(prime reason we booked this tour). Plenty of photo stops. We could  see the colourful autumn foliage. Hermitage walk was good, so was the small town of Pitlochry. However, we could not reach Queen's view b'cos of some road block.

For us, highlight of this tour was visit to Dewar's distillery , being our first distillery tour.

The organisation of the tour alongwith the time duration was perfect. Quick coffee at Rabbie's cafe before the start of the tour was refreshing. We recommend Rabbie's tours.
