        Must-Do Tour
This is a “must do” tour! We had no idea how much WWII history is here, mixed in with Scottish local history there is a lot to take in. The drive is breathtaking. Lunch at the end was incredible. I highly recommend this tour.

If you are an Outlander fan.
The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, but unless you are Scottish and/or love and know a lot about the history of Scotland/the battles between clans, this tour was a bit of a let down for us non-Scots. The highlight was visiting a small church outside the city - it's on a river and the interior is very quaint; built for the architect's mother. The seafood wasn't the best either, and you have to grab a space to sit, if there is one. Saw several castles (without going in) and drove through the "back country" where we did see a few of the long-haired Scottish cows, but that was it. Oban, however, is a fun and pretty coastal town.

        So Much Information
What a fabulous tour. Neil told us the history of Oban highlighting it with his own experiences in the area. He is so knowledgeable and able to keep it interesting. Lots of clan history none of which I knew (who knew I descend from a vengeful clan) and history of the area including cattle and sheep. The seafood feast at the end of the tour was delicious. I highly recommend this tour.

The photograph of the 3 sisters with the packhorse bridge in the foreground I think is AI generated . The water is flowing in the wrong direction and I've spent hundreds of days all over this area and that bridge doesn't fit.

This photo was a fully licensed purchase from shutterstock by a professional photographer. If you have been through Glencoe as many times as you say you have you can’t argue that regardless of whether it has been altered slightly it accurately depicts the magical beauty of Glencoe and some of the views that are possible on this tour. Have you been on the tour? I really don’t understand why you give such a rating over this beautiful photograph which is for sure Glencoe.
