Great place to visit and was particularly delighted to receive a history (and language) lesson from an elderly gentleman who lives at Blair. Food in the cafe was good and reasonably priced, unlike some of the other privately owned castles.

When you think of castles in Scotland, this is what you imagine them to look like. Many castles are just the walls like Blarney castle in Ireland. This castle has opulent furnishings and weaponry displays that are fantastic.

During a recent break to Scotland my wife and I were able to visit Blair Castle. We had a very enjoyable day and particularly enjoyed watching and listening to the piper who plays every hour for 15 minutes. Well worth a visit

The castle was beautiful as were the grounds. There were so many rooms to go through; the weapons delayed were amazing.

Well worth the entry money. 30 rooms to view and plenty of grounds to explore. The food in the cafe looked delicious too but we'd got a picnic. Volunteers in each room were very friendly and informative. Great day out and a quiz for children to do whilst looking round each room
