- Sorina B0 contributionsPerfect for familiesGreat information on the trip and funny too,we were the only ones so we received the best attendance, very happy with the experienceWritten 11 November 2024
- daddyReading0 contributionsGood funWe were looking for something different to do with our grandson, before he starts school. The tour was very informative and fun, especially splashdown into the river. I recommend this for anyone looking for an unusual family activity. (We did the Swan tour, but this system would not accept that)😃Written 4 September 2024
- mardim20150 contributionsHighly recommendedAbsolutely brilliant…. Not only the tour of windsor, but the trip along the Thames was wonderful. A good team, of driver/Captain and the compère was perfect.Written 27 June 2024
- 562gillb0 contributionsGreat End to a lovely day in WindsorWhat a fun experience!! My daughter in law was a bit concerned at the price of the trip, but at the end, said how much she had enjoyed it. Despite a bit of drizzle we were able to have a thoroughly enjoyable time. Views were brilliant! I am so pleased I used my method of drawing lots, on deciding whether to go. Well worth it!Written 24 April 2024
- xsungoddessx0 contributionsNot worth the moneyThis is a really overpriced trip for what it is! We expected to hear a lot more about the history and area of Windsor/sites that we passed but this was lacking. The commentary was non stop and at times would have been better if he just stopped with the jokes and singing and let us enjoying taking in the sites!Written 30 September 2023
- Flyer428896203520 contributionsA great trip for all agesWhat a great trip. Russell our guide was great fun and made the trip very enjoyable. It was very exciting when we went into the water and had great views of the castle.Written 3 September 2023
- WisdomD0 contributionsA Worthwhile ExperienceIt was en enjoyable experience with a dry, humorous narration. I would recommend it. The only irritants were the lack of queuing up and the difficulty embarking and disembarking the Duck. It would be better if the process was orderly (better supervision) and access was improved, perhaps with a platform or gantry.Written 1 September 2023
- DJB57940 contributionsGreat experienceA great way to see the sights and river, mixed with a great team on board, gave us lots of information on route with humorous input, well worth the priceWritten 31 August 2023
- Matt D0 contributionsWorth every pennyEnjoyed by the whole family. Excellent views throughout. Wonderful staff. Easy to find the start point. Would recommendWritten 23 August 2023
- U3284LTalexw0 contributionsGreat experienceI wasnt sure beforehand but we all enjoyed the trip. Staff knew what they were talking about, great trivia. Only minor gripe was having to travel back on itself over the water as there is only one land-water docking area, but thats not really the fault!Written 18 August 2023
- thirdengine0 contributionsA lovely trip! This was a great tour - my 2 year old nephew absolutely loved it. I recommend booking in advance as it gets booked up very quickly.Written 16 August 2023
- andyk8840 contributionsLovely tourGrandson and grandparents really enjoyed this tour, seeing the castle from land and river, and much more besides, including great wildlife. Commentary hit the spot with children and adults, and was not excessive. Great views. Would have given five stars, however although parking difficulties are flagged, I parked in Home park to use the park and ride, only to find it was not running - after I had paid to park, so had to find somewhere else at the last minute. Very impressed at drivers navigational skills on leaving the river on to a narrow slipway with strong currents.Written 15 August 2023
- Bobpw0 contributionsDon’t go!Left in time. Fun to drive around but the commentary was AWFUL! Hardly anything informative, it was just terrible cringe-worthy jokes and teasing her husband. I had arranged it as a treat for my family and brought friends and was embarrassed it was so lame. Not worth the money!! Don’t go! Hire your own boat or take a different trip!Written 14 August 2023

An excellent way to see Windsor. So exciting for the children when the duck went into the water. Paul and Rob were brilliant- Rob's commentary was informative, with some humour that made us laugh. Paul was helpful with our buggy and showed off brilliant driving, on and off the water!
Fantatsic- couldn't recommend enough.

This would be the third time we visited the Duck bus on the advent of every new grandchild. We have lovd visiting but this time I was a little taken back on
the cost. We are pensioners and took our three grandchildren, one only being 3 years old, however the cost was very high £19.40 for each ticket. Steep for a three year old. I'm afraid that will have to be the last time we visit as it cost us £97 for an hour or so trip. Bit rich for us.

Great fun, especially when the duck moves from road to river. My grandson enjoyed practicing his royal wave - everyone waved back!
Everything ran smoothly and professionally. We were booked on a morning trip so parking in the King Edward VII car park was fine when we arrived about 10.30 but by the time we left Windsor in the afternoon people were getting very fractious waiting for spaces to free up. So the advice on the duck website about parking is a must read for those coming by car.

After reading reviews on line, we decided this would be an ideal way to spend a dull afternoon in Windsor. I booked four adult tickets on line around 10.30am, paid with PayPal and went out for the day. We were actually at the Duck stop on Thames Street when I received a message to say that the tour was cancelled. No reason was given. I rang the contact number on the information board and spoke to a very unhelpful man, who told me there were no tours that day (Sunday 12th Nov) and that I had no booking. I had an authorised PayPal receipt, admittedly no money was taken from my account, but I do not understand how I was able to book this tour when it was not available. The man on the phone was unable to answer my questions as to why this was. Very poor service.

As windsor residents my children were very excited to go on the duck boat. Found the guide lacked enthusiasm and the information given was scripted like she was just reading off a sheet. Not sure why we needed to hear so much about house prices was expecting a bit more history. I was expecting more and felt disappointed

We did this tour yesterday, on a very wet Saturday. The pre event details were great, with times and meeting point clearly laid out. We boarded the DUKW, or its modern equivalent, and headed off for a tour around Windsor. Being so high up we were able to look over hedges and see some of the wonderful architecture as well as Windsor Castle itself. The commentary was excellent - engaging and informative. The water part of the trip was great fun too with more commentary and a different perspective of the sights. For the price of a decent lunch we had a great experience, although few photos due to the abysmal weather.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Commentary was fun and entertaining, and suitable for all ages (sorry I can’t remember the lady’s name). Driver Paul did a fantastic job navigating the roads and river especially turning around so everybody could get some really good views of Windsor Castle.

A really nice hour out on the roads / river around Windsor. We opted for the 70% water 30% road tour. The staff were great and friendly and the commentary whilst we were moving was interesting and full of facts. The ‘splashdown’ part when entering the river was brilliant and well hyped up by the staff. Whilst on the water we got a photo opportunity for the castle which was nice. Lots of chances to wave at other river users and people enjoying the sunshine on the banks. Overall a good experience. It’s worth arriving early and waiting at the bus stop as the queue does build up. We did and got seats at the front. We will be back to do the other tour another day to see the rest of Windsor.

We were at Legoland Resort and thought we couldn’t come to Windsor and not do a tour of the Windsor area! Duck Tour bus stop is easy to find and is nearby to car parking. We did the Swan Splash Tour as it was advertised as the one more suitable for children. For me, it didn’t have enough of the “on land” bits like seeing more of the castle so I think I would recommend trying the other tour, despite it not being as suited for kids as my kid got bored of the water anyway so he may as well be bored while I'm enjoying seeing bits I want to see!
Tour guide was new (she was reading from notes so I assume new) but she was great and provided a lot of interesting knowledge and facts (which is probably difficult to do when the majority of the boat were kids who aren't taking the info in)

Just been on the 11 o'clock trip that left a bit late but the company sent an email to inform us of the delay, which was very helpful. We enjoyed the trip very much. The guide gave some interesting facts and information about the sights of Windsor that we saw during our 1 hour on the Duck. Lots of photo opportunities and being on the river afforded a different perspective.
Would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Windsor for the first time or to locals like us who want to get a different view of Windsor and the surroundings.

Is it suitable for people with mobility problems?

Whilst the guides are extremely helpful and can’t do enough for you, there are still steps up into the vehicle that you would need to climb. There was a wheel chair user on our tour but they were able to climb about 5 steps. It would be worth calling to see whether they can assist further as I would thoroughly recommend the experience.

Sadly not, as previous person said there’s a flight of about 7 high steps at the back. Personally I can’t see anyway they can do anything to make it wheelchair friendly. Having said that it may be worth contacting them and asking if have any way of helping you
