Overview
With so much to see and do in Liverpool it can be hard to make the most of the city’s unique views and fascinating history. So if you’re in the mood to discover some of the best sights in the world, why not combine a fantastic 50-minute River Explorer Cruise on board the world-famous Mersey Ferry with an Open Top Bus Tour and Anglican Cathedral Tower Tour? This combo-sightseeing ticket provides the best views of the city including the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront from the river. Your City Explorer bus tour can be used on the same day as your cruise and the following day giving you maximum sightseeing opportunity. You can also visit the Cathedral Tower on either the day of your cruise or the following day.

The ticket also includes free entry to U-boat Story at Woodside. Here you can view the amazing life on board a real German U-boat. The U-534 is one of only four German World War II submarines in preserved condition remaining in the world!
Highlights
  • See top Liverpool spots with ease by cruise and hop-on hop-off bus tour
  • Learn more about the city’s music and maritime history via commentary
  • Entrance to Liverpool Cathedral and U-boat Story included
  • Enjoy the freedom to explore Liverpool at your own pace
What to Expect
Make your way to Pier Head on River Mersey 15 minutes before the cruise departure of your choice, and board your sightseeing boat. Enjoy views over Liverpool’s UNESCO–listed waterfront. Gaze at attractions including Royal Liver Building, and learn more about Liverpool’s maritime and musical heritage from on-board commentary. Back at Pier Head, take a seat aboard a hop-on hop-off bus and see top attractions such as Albert Dock, the Cavern Club—where the Beatles used to play—and Walker Art Gallery, with on-board commentary. Busses depart every 30 minutes, and your 24-hour pass allows you to get off and on at your leisure. Perhaps disembark at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and take the lifts and stairs to the tower for panoramic city views. Other stops include Cains Brewery and Chinatown. Your cruise ticket also includes entry to the U-boat Story, a German U-boat in which Liverpool’s World War II history comes to life.

Take the time (45 minutes) to understand how Liverpool relates to river. I wish I had time to get off and explore further.

Loved our hop on and off tour of the city today. Recommend the ticket with the river cruise as well. Excellent value for money, easily signposted. Lovely way to spend a few hours
