Great half day fishing out with Andy on the Patricia Rose. Conditions were far from perfect but Andy made sure that everyone caught at least one fish. Even though the fishing wasn’t the greatest due to the adverse conditions it was a great trip with a very knowledgeable and helpful skipper. It was my teenage daughters first taste of boat fishing and she really enjoyed it, and Andy was great at sorting out any problems she had. To top off a great trip we even sighted dolphins on the way back in. So to sum up we would recommend Andy and the Patricia Rose for a great trip fishing whatever your level of experience and we will hopefully go out with Andy again when in Plymouth.

Andy took time out of his business and life to take a bunch of veterans with various injuries out for adays fishing, we had a brilliant day. Caught a load of fish and enjoyed the calm of the sea and the time with eachother but also ourselves. Was brilliant to relax in the company of a genuine man who made us feel very welcome and not only gave us the equipment to fish but thw knowledge to be better at it. He taught us to fillet and gut fish and how to read the sea floor. All in all it was a brilliant experience and made better by a stranger giving his time and ultimately money out of his pocket to give a few aging veterans an experience we won't forget. A day out fishing in and outside of the breakwater, the weather was good for us and lots of fishing was achieved. The Skipper Andy was great he really helped everyone from rigging the rods, showing us how to gut, fillet the fish we wanted to take home - we only kept what we needed, the rest went back - mackerel, peacock cichlids (Red Females and Blue Males, lots of Dog Fish and an eel type fish. We moved around to find the different fish.

Amazing fishing experience. Andy the Skipper is a fountain of knowledge and readily gives expert advice to both novices and seasoned anglers alike. he always puts the angler first and finds the fish you either want to catch or just want to catch fish. I am an experienced species hunter and had over 10 species the day I was out which was extraordinary for the time of year. I can confidently recommend a trip out on Patricia Rose for any angler whatever your expertise.

Fantastic days fishing with my 15 year old son, Andy was on the money and on the fish. Spent a whole day out targeting Blonde Ray… a couple of hours Mackerel fishing for bait saw Mackeral, Poor Cod and Herring. During the day plenty of rays were landed in the boat - sport fishing so catch and release. My lad landed two super rays and I bagged a lovely Sea Bass and a couple of Dog Fish. Would highly recommend Andy and Patricia Rose Charters, clean well organised boat and Andy is a great teacher, spending time imparting plenty of great advice on baiting, tactics and technique. If we get to Plymouth again will certainly see if we can get another day out on the Patricia Rose.

We booked with Patricia Rose Charters so we could take a trip out around Plymouth Sound to scatter my father's ashes at sea. Although it was obviously a sad occasion for the family, the trip was thoroughly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations in every way. Andy couldn't have been a more kind and helpful skipper - nothing was too much trouble. He was available by phone beforehand to help us plan, and even brought a music system on board so we could play some favourite tracks. His professionalism, friendly manner and thoughtfulness made the occasion something deeply special and meaningful, and we highly recommend the Patrica Rose. Excellent Day, Andy a brilliant Skipper, really made our family fishing trip memorable, extremely helpful with all of us fishing especially our Grandsons. Andy worked hard to help fish for the mackerel for bate to catch larger fish, Which we did! An anormous catch for a few hours fishing. Andy helped make it a fun day. Making tea, bonus that Andy had Earl Grey Tea, just magic. Andy knows his boat, very knowledgeable. A brilliant trip. Andy is so knowledgeable and helpful. We were first time sea fishers and Andy set us right up with no trouble. Felt safe on his boat and managed to catch plenty of fish. Booked Patricia Rose Charters for a whole morning of fishing with work colleagues and we all had an absolutely brilliant time! We were all novices and Andy (The Skipper) showed us how to set up our rods, how to fish correctly and then how to prep and fillet our catch on the way back to shore. On top of that, Andy has a wealth of local knowledge that he shared with us and was really interesting. It was amazing to see Eddystone Lighthouse and fish in that area. There was a toilet onboard (for anyone wondering) and Andy makes a brill cup of coffee. Thank you Andy for looking after us all and giving us a great experience. We will 100% recommend and book again.

Friendly crew of Andy the skipper and star the dog. Very knowledgeable and he even taught us how to gut and fillet fish! We had a fantastic afternoon of fishing and wildlife watching. Excellent day. We went as part of a work activity and everyone was novices. Fantastic experience and everyone caught several fish. Andy also provided us some history about places in Plymouth and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone 10 out of 10!!!

Went on a ten hour wreck fishing trip. My wife and I were inexperienced and Andy and Tricia were really patient with us, helping to set up lines, advise on best techniques and bait the lines. We had been on mackerel trips before but there is a big difference in a deep water trip and we learnt a lot. Andy moved around sites to give us the opportunity to try for various types of fish. A really professional outfit and we were really happy with our trip, especially as my wife landed a 12lb pollack!

The most incredible experience we have had as a family. Andy and Trisha what a team, we had so much fun and caught so much fish. The children loved the experience and my experienced angler friends could not believe our pictures and the number of fish we caught. A must for everyone.

This was the best day's boat fishing I've had in a very long time. Skipper, Andy, was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, particularly with tangles. A 7am start was well worth it as the 10 hour day was so productive and flew by. Gear was good and put to good use catching bait fish for the first 45 mins including some nice makerel and whiting for the pot. We then steamed out to some drifts further out and one session at anchor. Catch was spectacular including about 10 edible species and it was nice to see Andy reminding us to take only what we would use, safe in the knowledge that there would be more to come. Comfortable boat and good company made the day a memorable one. Would book another, but fridge is full and off home too soon. Would have posted a photo, but as Andy said, "you can't catch if you're not fishing" so didn't have time to take one. Skipper will do that for you if you're of the selfie generation. BOOK NOW.
