I have been to Bristol many times to see a show at the Hippodrome but never knew what Bristol had to offer, we were met by Simon who was a really down to earth guy, Bristol born and bred and could see he was very passionate and enthusiastic to what his city had to offer. He entertained the crowd throughout the 2 hr tour and enthralled us with his knowledge and facts of the city. He was really entertaining too with a few fun facts and also showed us his drumstick techniques as he was a drummer in a band too. I highly recommend this tour and if you can get Simon too that would be a bonus although I have seen great reviews for all the tour guides on here, I couldn’t wait to get home and relay the stories to my family who really want to go on the same tour, Many thanks Simon, it was a pleasure to meet you and have you show us round this great city of yours 👏👍

Even though the weather was drizzly on the day of our tour, our guide was so good that we rarely noticed. he was engaging, interesting, informative and funny. His route took advantage of natural shelter on the way and he was always checking out to make sure that he didn't lose any people. He was very clear to hear and barely stopped talking all of the time he was so full of interesting information and amusing asides and we barely noticed the 2+ hours go by. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it helped us to decide what else to do in the city. Definitely an experience that we would recommend to others.

Our guide, Simon, was entertaining and informative. He covered history and modern day events and the tour was a good introduction to the city. The pace was gentle and the route mostly flat, so suitable for people of all levels of fitness. Simon always made sure everybody had caught up before he started talking at the next spot, so no one missed out. He was also very safety conscious and careful to warn the group when coming to a cycleway, for example. Simon also pointed out other places and tourist activities that we might be interested in after our tour had finished. Recommend.

We did this fantastic walking tour yesterday with our 7, 10 and 12 year olds - we all absolutely loved it! The 2 hour tour was packed with so much fascinating and entertaining information, told with real passion for the City. Even my aunt who accompanied us and has lived in Bristol for over 30 years (with a keen interest in local history) learned several new things. We really would highly recommend it for young and old, whether you’re new to Bristol or think you already know it well.

The tour was well worthwhile, not only from a visitor's point of view ( we're here from British Columbia to be with family and grandchildren) but would recommend Bristolians also give it a go. So many interesting facts and back stories.
Luke was our guide and acquainted us,not only with a few facts about Bristol and street art that we were vaguely familiar with, but with many more that we were not. Plus, and this is important , he shared his enthusiasm for good eating and drinking establishments that were part of Bristol's fabric.
Who would have thought you could create an echo while standing between 2 buildings in one of Bristol side streets? He made the 2 hour tour both fun and fascinating plus his voice projected well despite traffic noise. Would thoroughly recommend this tour ,easy walking and the 2 hours flew by. Thanks Luke!

My friends surprised me with this tour on the weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Simon our tour guide was so knowledgable and passionate about the area and this shined through in his delivery and personality.
Would 100% recommend this to anyone who loves history and art (and pirates) - you won’t be disappointed!

Great walking tour taking in many parts of the old and changing centre of this city that has all the attitude and quirkiness that comes from a challenging and interesting history. Luke managed to keep the group together and paying attention through the tour with his fine, loud voice and range of snippets of information, the hints of satire and self deprecation woven into the stories he told gave us background to explore for ourselves.
Highly recommend to those wishing and able to spend a couple of hours in this busy and bustling city.

Luke was an excellent guide on this Bristol walking tour combining research, local knowledge and fun facts in an informative stroll around the city centre. He included history, art, foodie places, bus routes, local decisions, dialect and so much more in our 2 hours that passed by so quickly. I would also like to commend his attention to our safety and well-being - it was wet on the day. Highly recommended.
