Excellent venue for all ages. Going back to yesteryear, learning how our ancestors carried out their daily lives. Ride a Tram , the visit to the Dentist was eye watering ! A treat in the bakers , a quarter of sweets … first time in decades for us. The manor house was amazing , and a bonus a Tavern next door! So much to see and do , it could take a couple of days . We were time limited so missed a lot , mostly because the rain never stopped all day sadly. We would return .

A Charming City Filled with History and Kindness
What a charming and delightful city! Our daughter decided in the University of Lincoln for college and I was in awe of the history, diversity and genuine kindness of the people we encountered.

A really fascinating tour – with a great guide!
This was a wonderful tour. The stories of London’s experience with the bubonic plague are fascinating, and it was wonderful to be able to walk around the city and see some of the places where it all happened. It was very interesting, and touching, to see the sites of actual plague pits – now parks and squares – but which were once witness to some of the most desperate and bleak periods of London’s past. Seeing the area where Samuel Pepys lived was also fascinating. Stephen is a fantastic guide and really brings the history to life! He is brimming over with lots of stories and information about London over the centuries. Don’t miss this great tour!

A truly atmospheric experience of a dramatic period in London's history.
I loved this tour and highly recommend it! It was so atmospheric to wander in the neighbourhoods where so many people perished, to see the plague pits where they were buried, to walk in the same streets that Samuel Pepys walked, stand where his house stood and visit the church where he worshipped regularly. This walk really brings home the devastating impact of the Plague, not just on the population, but on the city itself. Stephen Liddell is a fantastic tour guide. In addition to being relaxed and fun to walk around with, he is a veritable gold mine of information on the history of London, and really brought to life a very dark and frightening period in the city's history. Stephen is a very engaging, knowledgeable and experienced guide, and his tour is a unique way to experience London's past. Don't miss it!

A fascinating and enjoyable tour of beautiful Stamford
A really great tour! Perfectly paced and flexible enough to accommodate our group spotting little places they wanted to look at including a bakery and the market. Stephen is an interesting and engaging guide, hugely knowledgeable and full of quirky little facts and anecdotes which really make a place come alive. I’ve been to Stamford many times but this tour covered places I had no idea existed and explained the history and significance of more familiar areas. A fascinating and very enjoyable morning.

        Best Tour I’ve ever taken!!
This past August, I had the pleasure of visiting London with a group of nine friends, and went on an exceptional walking tour led by Stephen. His captivating presence and remarkable ability to engage each of us with a wealth of knowledge—from history and architecture to fascinating insights into James Bond and Harry Potter—made the experience unforgettable. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. I look forward to doing it again on my next visit to London—if only we could have Stephen accompany us everywhere! I cannot recommend this experience highly enough—10/10!

Can't recommend enough - do this tour!
Fabulous tour! A must-do if you have a free afternoon in London and are interested in some unique tid-bits and great storytelling! Stephen was an incredible guide who immediately fit in our group and felt like a friend; plus he always had a lively story to share with us over a pint! Would highly recommend this tour (or any of the Ye Olde England themed tours) and will be doing it again on my next trip to London!

Awesome Tour - Stephen is the Best!
Stephen and the tour were incredible!! One of my favorite things in our whole London visit was this tour! Stephen, our tour guide, was very warm, personable, knowledgeable, lively, and entertaining - would have spent all day following him around and listening to his fun facts about even the most inconspicuous buildings and landmarks; he made everything remarkable! The tour was engaging and very personalizable - we did some standard walking tour mixed with 2 pub stops and I thought it was the perfect mix of educational and super fun 🤩 Any themed tour by Ye Olde England Tours is certified to be good - don't miss out!

Interactive and interesting museum with many exhibits, an absolute must for anyone interested in planes from the First World War up to present day. Free entry, but you do pay to park. There is a cafe and gift shop on site. Plan to spend about 3-4 hours here.

Took my grandson to see this iconic museum. The display of aircraft is amazing, you get a real feeling for how small and flimsy the early craft were. The only disappointment was the behaviour of some very young children running riot ( literally ). They had no interest in the displays only in the play area and running around unsupervised by parents. Making an entry fee would surely stop this?
Still a great day out. No complaints about the parking, food and the gift shop.

Brilliant day out viewing both first and second world war planes and vehicles. Very informative without being boring. Lots of interactive elements to keep all ages entertained. Also exhibited modern RAF practices. The special exhibitions were interesting and activity trails for younger children available. Our party was a mix of ages with one wheelchair person and we found accessibility excellent throughout.

Nice cafe and Gift Shop with interesting stock.

Lovely afternoon out at the museum. There are informative displays and although some restrictions at the moment there was still plenty to see. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend going especially at the moment to support the museum and because it is quite , so no queues. The clearly marked routes mean you do not miss anything. We especially liked seeing the Vulcan bomber, as you can walk under it you really get to appreciate just how big it is.

Great day out with my little boy, who loved seeing all the planes, helicopters and other flying machines. When you enter the museum, you are tempted to think that everything is in that first hangar...but, don't be fooled! There are further buildings, so more planes to see! Cafe was quite nice, too.

Brilliant day out. Lot’s of different planes to see. Good for kids to learn about history. All the staff had masks on and covid screens were still in place that was really nice to see. Shame most of the visitors were not wearing masks though.

Great museum with great exhibits. Lovingly arranged and presented. Even the restored command seat takes you back in time.
Superbly preserved and restored aircraft since 1914.

I recently took a friend from the US to the RAF Museum as we hadn't been for many years and opted for a private tour. Well worth the money as you get a very detailed talk as well as some fantastic insights. There have been many changes since I last visited including opening up of the Sunderland Flying boat and the recovered Halifax bomber. Well worth a visit.

James took my wife and I on a facinating tour of the WWI aircraft in Hanger 2. He was able to explain how aircraft developed throughout the Great War in an easy to understand way. I particularly liked how he tied the loose ends together and answered all our questions. We enjoyed our tour with James immensely and would unreservedly recommend his tour.
