It is believed that Hierve el Agua was a sacred place to the ancient Zapotec. Its fossilized waterfalls are an attractive you cannot lose, one with 30 meters and other with 12 meters of altitude. The cascades were formed by the carbonized water that fell down from the springs located at the top of the rocks. The springs area that originates this waterfall has been taken and used as a natural watering place by its hot springs.

MEZCAL: This place known as “La Capital Mundial del Mezcal” is important by it production of the traditional liquor. Here you could find a great number of factories and stores of this beverage.
