About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mairecaitriona0 contributionsA very creepy experience and worth it for the priceLauren did an awesome job! We didn't have anything crazy but it's not like they can control that; for only $27/person it was worth it. I might have been disappointed with the lack of activity if it was more expensive, but it was very good value for the cost. The atmosphere was super creepy and the stories were great. The only place that felt active for me was the Burwick House. Half of our group could hear creaking and movement coming from upstairs, and some of us (myself included) also heard crying. I don't think I was imagining it, because I didn't experience anything anywhere else. Upstairs was eerie and uncomfortable, especially the room with the cradle. I felt a heaviness on my back and chest that only lifted when we left the house. I was with my fiancé and he didn't experience any of this, so I guess it's very individual.Written 31 October 2024
- D6450VDleot0 contributionsJust what the doctor ordered around Halloween. 🎃Just did the tour with Tory (hope I spelled her name right), an awesome & informative tour. I have been on a lot of tours and this one was excellent. Thanks for a wonderful evening. I definitely will book again.Written 29 October 2024
- lineg6000 contributionsToo many people in the tour at Black CreekThe ghost stories and the village after dark were quite good, however the group we were in was much too large. It made it very difficult to focus on what the guide was telling us, and all those flashlights ruined the spooky atmosphere. At on point, I couldn't hear what was being said over the voice of one guest. There were a total of 24 people in our group - this crowded the buildings we did enter. Our guide was very good and did their best to make this work - kudo's to Sare! I'd recommend booking a much later tour, and hope for a smaller group that way.Written 27 October 2024
- kristih1910 contributionsDisappointing and quite boringThis was one of the most boring things I've paid money for. The history of the buildings was interesting but we only went in 4 and the "stories" got old and there was absolutely nothing spooky about it.Written 27 October 2024
- sunidhia20240 contributionsEnthralling and CuratedThe tour was very engaging and the stories were very well told and curated for the audience. Will definitely explore more!Written 25 October 2024
- sexyavenger180 contributionsDisappointingFabulous ambiance and interesting to hear about the history of the homes. I do, however, feel we should have been able to see all of the buildings like the Mill & the Halfway House (another tour group was able to explore these buildings) and also allow for our own investigation in the buildings, without such a large group. Disappointing...not in the least bit scary.Written 14 October 2024
- 964trishag0 contributionsAsk for Sare if you want a good scare!Sare was an excellent guide and was very great at telling the spooky history of the place. Walking the villiage at night was really cool. Only downside is there’s so many groups doing different things around the villiage it gets distracting and detracts from the spooky vibes.Written 13 October 2024
- Paradise293896097840 contributionsShooketh in the Burwick house. The haunt was very spooky and fun and our guide Lauren was amazing at telling us the tails of all of the houses on our walk. Everything took a turn when we entered the Burwick house. As we were listening to the story, we heard a loud crash and we all screamed and ran for our lives. The dead gave us signs they were in the house, and ultimately made the experience worth it. I will never be the same again.Written 12 October 2024
- laurenk9970 contributionsKinda disappointedWould have been better without the wedding going on in the background. As well as the escape room patrons running and screaming everywhere opening doors. Too many experiences happening at the same time. Took away from the atmosphere. Was a little disappointed.Written 13 July 2024
- Michael E0 contributionsAmazing and Very Spooky!!My wife and I went on this tour and it was absolutely fantastic! Cate created such an incredible atmosphere that had us both completely immersed in the history and the mystery of Black Creek Pioneer Village. If you enjoy the paranormal, history, spookiness, or are even just searching for a unique experience, don't waste any more time searching and book asap!Written 7 July 2024
- Stuart K0 contributionsExcellent TourWe did this when we visited in April. Despite it being a rainy night and myself, my partner, and our 21 year old being the only people booked, it was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us about the rich history of the area whilst combining this with ghost stories and experiences of people. I would highly recommend it.Written 26 June 2024
- Meander239871120310 contributionsSuper informative, fun and spooky tour of the beautiful university campus! The University of Toronto Ghost Tour - Campus Secrets & Spectres was amazing! Very informative and entertaining! Our guide Risha was super amiable and generously answered all of our many questions! The company was very accommodating for our last minute needs and requests! We highly recommend this tour of the university's beautiful campus!Written 24 June 2024
- michellec5340 contributionsInexplicable happenings and spooky fun at Black Creek Pioneer VillageI’ve done most of the haunted walks in Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa and enjoyed them all. A great way to learn some history, get some exercise and hear spooky stories. Last night was atmospheric for a walk around the old buildings at Black Creek Pioneer Village, with a bright beautiful moon and chill in the air. I haven’t experienced anything on any of the prior walks, but odd things started in the very first building we entered when a chain that blocks off entrance to a bedroom started swinging back and forth on its own while the guide was talking. Nobody was near it at the time. Then in the “Minister’s house” I was the last person to enter and had to close the door. I paused to look around while doing so. There were only 4 of us in the group plus our guide and everyone had already moved on into the house to the right when I heard a loud bang in the room to my left, which is blocked off. It sounded like someone banging their fist on a desk or table and I thought someone had gone around to prank me. However, no one had, and there wasn’t another way into the room. I tried to re-create the sound, looked for a fallen item etc but couldn’t figure out what made the noise. The third odd thing is a photo I took in front of a house. All the photos I took turned out fine, except for one that came out a bit blurry despite taking in in the same way as the others. This photo shows a blue streak of light and what looks like a horse galloping out of the front door. All in all, an entertaining evening!Written 26 November 2023
- V2946TCalexandras0 contributionsI loved the Haunted Walk with Clarice!Clarice was my tour guide and she was great. I was the only one on the Haunted Walk tour (seeing as it is mid-November I wasn’t too surprised) but it was really such a great experience. It was immersive, interesting, and I learned a lot. The stories really made you think about the histories of the buildings. As a paranormal enthusiast, I had such a great time and I can’t thank Clarice enough. I will definitely be going back!Written 17 November 2023

The meeting point for this one takes you right to the guides, we had Lauren who was an excellent story teller throughout and her character on the tour made the experience extra special.
She took us to lots of interesting points throughout the city all within walking distance and told us of the chilling stories which happened at each spot we visited, she also showed us historical points on the way and explained to us the history of Toronto. The tour itself was a good length in both journey and time and you learnt a lot of history along the way including all the stories and hauntings which have been known throughout the city. From this I have learnt not to goto the toilet alone in Toronto and why girls go in pairs :D
Make sure you take a jacket and wear comfy shoes for this one.

Thomas is a great story teller and made the tour very engaging. Telling the main story in parts throughout the tour which kept ending on cliff hangers helped shape the experience in a really interesting way. It was so interesting to hear the history of the city through people’s lives and experiences. Highly recommended.

Sare is one of the best Tour guides that I have seen in a long time. Sare is caring about the audience, speaks clearly and loudly, and makes the stories quite interesting. Sare walked our group of “13“ to 7 different locations in downtown Toronto telling us different haunted scenarios of each one. Sare was quite Animated in her descriptions, keeping the audience attention. Sare was also quite attentive with going through intersections and areas while we were walking. I have had other tour guides walk on and forget a group is following, Sare continued to keep up with us. Sare was excellent… and oddly enough, didn’t mention “ tipping” … but of course I did!

Grace was our tour guide. She was really friendly and put a lot of effort into bringing the ghost stories of Toronto to life.
It's a good price for a ghost walk and would recommend it to anyone. It was interesting to hear about some of the places we'd visited and their ghostly haunts.
I think the tour would benefit from some visual cues. For bigger groups, two tour guides might help share the delivery of the tour.
It would be very cool to actually go inside some of the buildings that were discussed whilst on the tour.

This was a great way to get acquainted with the city, & trick myself into exercising. The guide was a skilled storyteller, made sure that everyone could hear her, & made everyone feel welcome. It was an easy walk, but we covered enough territory to get some great photos.

Tori was great in explaining the macabre and the unusual history in one part of Toronto - the area was contained enough to not have to rush place to place and accommodated a wide range of paces. Great history told in an interesting format, what’s not to love. Tori also made sure everyone in the group could hear her.

A brilliant tour. Grace was a fantastic and informative tour guide who really knew her stuff and you could tell that she really enjoyed running the tours and sharing the haunted history of Toronto. Didn’t realise the tour was 90 mins rather than an hour but was glad of the extra time. It is a fair amount of walking so don’t book if you struggle with walking, but we had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend if you like a little spooky story. Would also recommend doing it earlier in your trip to see some new areas of Toronto and get some ideas about some more unique things you could do during your stay.

I heard about the Original Haunted Walk of Toronto from friends and I had to try it. I really enjoyed the walking tour and learning about the spooky occurrences at buildings I frequently pass. Our guide, Tori, was an amazing story-teller and navigated us expertly to each site. I highly recommend this fun and chilling tour.

Excellent tour in a warm full moon night!! Kate was a great storyteller, she was very professional, full of stories and a good knowledge of history. Her smile and warmth was a great company all along the walk. She was happy to keep the conversation going and alive between the stops.
Totally recommend the tour, it is a wonderful way to discover the city.
