About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Nicole P0 contributionsTour CancelledI booked this tour over a month prior to visiting Toronto and then the night before I receive a text that there was an issue with Viator and that they are not able to accommodate my reservation and can book me with another tour company. I did however the new company did not include all the stops and time frame they did and the guide service was very lacking. Beware if you book this tour they may cancel last minute leaving you to scramble for new plans.Written 22 June 2024
- S J O0 contributionsTour cancelled the night beforeI booked a day trip to Bruce Penninsula for December 24th, was really excited as this was one of the few things I wanted to do during my time in Toronto. Was emailed at around 7.30pm the night before the trip saying it was cancelled. They wanted to move me to the 26th for the tour but that was the day I was leaving. Supposed to be getting a full refund but I am still waiting. Can’t comment on the quality of the tour itself as I never got to do it.Written 4 January 2024
- Noz10 contributionsGreat trip but be prepared for a long day!A packed full 12 hour day. Excellent venues to visit and would highly recommend this trip. There were only 6 people on our trip so bizarrely they stuck us all in a car that was quite cramped to be honest. They no doubt saved money not using a transit van equivalent. The trip is really about taking you from A to B as opposed to anything being "guided" but this was fine. The driver was a good person and did a great job ferrying us all around. He was Filipino (apologies can't remember his name) and a credit to the company. We did the boat included for Niagara Falls and this was simply brilliant as you experience the power and sound of the falls. Maple farm was good but the wine location was somewhat small and they only let you try the basic wines. Nonetheless, overall I would recommend this trip to others as we certainly enjoyed it.Written 2 October 2023
- ElinaVe970 contributionsAmazing dayIt was a pleasure to participate in this daytrip! We saw many great places, canoed, walked two trails (waterfall and lookout point), swam in a lake, drove to the visitor's center and all of this with a very nice group of people. Our guide Mike was super friendly and did his best to make us enjoy the day and see the beauty of Algonquin Provincal Park. Highly recommended trip!Written 11 August 2023
- Nick M0 contributionsUps and downsThe places we were taken too were excellent, hiking and canoeing. Our guide, Joe, was so good. He did an excellent job. However, we felt that there was not enough correct information provided before the day (lunch arrangements and no mention of swimming). Also, for such a long day we spent a lot of time in the van. It would have been a better day if had been able to get out more and walk more. Finally, for safety reasons, two guides would have been a lot better. Joe had to do a lot of driving over the day. Not great for him or us.Written 30 July 2023
- L3031FRclarap0 contributionsGreat experienceGreat experience, we were 4 plus the guide who was very invested. He showed us beautiful places that let us to discover a part of Canada !Written 22 February 2023
- GinaC010 contributionsMaple and Wine, Festival of LightI enjoyed the 1 day tour and festival of light. It was worth the money we paid for this fantastic day. Too bad we didn't stay over night, next year we will. Thank you!!!!Written 29 December 2022
- fist00 contributionsGreat experience with a knowledgeable guideWent to many waterfalls and trails, some great sights and visit to the visitor center. Guide Brian was very knowledgeable and keen on hiking and exploring with us.Written 14 November 2022
- rebecca3320180 contributionsTerribleNot enjoyable at all. Wouldn't recommend. Long, boring and better tours out there at much cheaper rates.Written 24 September 2022
- Johnmmmmmmm0 contributionsWe feel ripped off!We started at 8am for a four hour drive with one stop of at shop and one other pickup. We canoed on the lake for 40mins. Then we where asked if we wanted to do a 5k hike or a 10.5 hike. We felt obliged to do the 10k as the guide seemed very keen as did the others. This hike went on for four hours at high walking speed set by the guide up and down hills. It was boring and not something we wanted to do on our holidays to this length. We have done many hikes in the past much longer and tougher than this but didn't want to do this type of hike for this long on our holidays. Even though the wonderful owner Lenka said that we supposedly struggled by others. After 4 hours of up and down hiking we got back and again stopped at another waterfall then stopped again at a shop for the guide to get himself tubs of ice cream. The tour seems to fit around the guide more than him knowing his audience. We got home at 10pm. We contacted the wonderfully rude owner Lenka who went ahead without our consent and contacted the other members in our group who supposedly stated that we where struggling. Lenka didn't ask our permission to contact the other members of the group which is completely unprofessional and I think illegal. This was a terrible experience from start to finish and an expensive tour when there.betyer ones out there much much cheaper. I'd absolutely avoid and it's been reported to Toronto tourist board.. AvoidWritten 22 September 2022
- OliviaAugust0 contributionsGreat Day in Niagara!!I had the best time on this tour! The itinerary was perfect and it was a well paced busy day with lots of free time to explore! We had some unique stops that If on my own would not have known to visit! Our tour guide Ramiro was very welcoming, organized, and spoke a lot about the area! I highly recommend booking a tour with this company … it’s a day well spent! I will book another tour with them again!Written 6 September 2022
- OldMacD0nald0 contributionsFun trip but it's not a guided tourWe enjoyed our day trip to the Algonquin park with Mike. It was a very long day but all the stops were well timed. Canoeing and hiking were fun, but the best part was swimming in the lake - such an amazing location and crystal clear water. The only downside was that Mike, although called a 'guide', didn't really guide us at all. He was basically just a driver. He didn't speak throughout the whole journey, just played music, and we didn't learn anything from him at the stops about the history of the park or the wildlife. Maybe I was expecting too much, but please be aware of this if you are expecting a guided tour.Written 27 August 2022
- haroonk3660 contributionsBeautiful trip and and lovely trails to visit and exploreTrip was amazing we had fun Swimming Canoeing it was wonderful. The guide was wonderful .The only bad thing was the Bus that took us there , it was too tight in the back.Written 10 August 2022

We had a lot of initial trouble with the booking, it was first a tech issue and then a weather issue. I don't feel there was much apology or compensation for this but we got over that.
The trip itself was then very very average. It was a nice trip because Bruce peninsula is beautiful but I feel all I paid for was the transportation. We got no information about the place, the environment, the nature etc... There was no "tour guide" element to the trip at all. For example, when we went to see the shipwrecks, we weren't told what the ships were used for or how and when they sank. It would take a quick google for the guide to make the experience more informative and interesting.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't great for us which is no ones fault however, there was no back up plan to the parts of the tour that were cancelled due to this. So there was a lot of hanging around. It felt very unstructured and as though there was no one in charge.
Some people on the tour with us were not consistent with wearing their masks while on the bus and the guide did nothing to regulate this also.
Overall, Bruce peninsula is well worth a visit but this particular tour is unprofessional and not worth the money.

The best trip ever for those who are looking for a real nature, it's indian land and you should not expect highways, highrise,... so the best thing about it is preserved land which you have to walk for almost 30 minutes from parking,in the beach you have to have a good shoes as it's all rock and hard to move in gravels. The water and the cave is unique and I suggest to have a inflatable boat($20) and stay away from the corners as wave may hit you to the cliff!!!
The parking is 15 minutes drive from the main street and not paved so expect to have a full dust car when you return home. The parking has only 60 cars capacity so you should be there early morning otherwise sorry!!!
Only I found a Subway in the main street so be careful about your needs. But it really worth to try

This agency offers hassle free package. The meeting place was fair enough for everyone, the van was spacious for our legs, and driver was considerate for pee stop :) The travel package itself was 4/5 to me because I was expecting to be in Blue Heron cruise, but instead we took the island tour without hopping off to the Flower Pot and no ship wreck experience ;( (I think it was only a day trip that's why we took the small boat tour). I would suggest to do kayaking instead of going to Inglis Falls cos there's nothing to see there (im sorry Inglis Falls). Overall, I would definitely recommend to book a tour with them, and will definitely book Bruce Peninsula again but this time will be camping. My next trip with them would be Algonquin tour (just fixing my schedule) :))))

The view in Bruce Peninsula is stunning. Travelling Chicken is a great travel company to travel with. Special thanks to Lenka who treated every traveler as her friend. I had the feeling that I was travelling with a friend the entire trip. Pick up was on time. Lenka also went extra miles to drop us off at a place near where we live. In addition, she helped us to take a lot of great photos.
This is my second trip with Travel Chicken and definitely will join their tours again. I highly recommend Travelling Chicken to everyone (especially if you are a solo traveler).

If you want to get out of the normal grind of things and into the scenic view of nature I recommend taking this trip. It is only a click of a button. Everything is taken care of. You are picked up from 3 destinations and taken to Tobermory, an extremely beautiful and serene location. There you will take a boat ride to the grotto and hike around the Bruce Peninsula National Park. Make sure to take some comfortable shoes, a rainjacket, water and some snacks. It can get a bit splashy on the boat. Enjoy

Trip was organized all in all though the boat ride was cancelled due to very strong winds which is inevitable. Could've seen more sites. Our tour guide brought us to the coast of Georgian Bay to hang out and have lunch beside the crystal clear waters instead.
Time was still managed for a day trip like this which is important.
Bruce Peninsula with its turquoise waters and beautiful rock formations is amazing, hoping to see more of the area in the future!!!

This Saturday, we had an amazing experience on a Bruce Peninsula hiking tour with my husband and my father in law! The trip included a visit to Tobermory, swimming at the Grotto, and hiking to stunning spots and lakes. As I’ve recently arrived to Toronto, it’s been challenging to explore interesting places here without a car, but this tour made it easy to see the beautiful nature of Canada. A special shoutout to our guide, Joe, who knows every interesting spot in the park and made this trip unforgettable. Thank you!

Had an amazing adventure. I took the Bruce Peninsula Day Trip. Seen things that were just breathtaking. It was like being taken to another country. Just the escape from the city I was looking for. Went solo and just felt like I was with a group of new friends. Joe was an amazing guide..great information…very funny…and makes sure you are safe and sound! Would definitely do it again.

I did the Bruce Peninsula kayaking & hiking tour with Ramiro. It is a long drive and long day but it was worth it. It was so beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised that a picnic lunch was also provided. Ramiro was also our designated photographer. He took hundreds of pictures and created a shared album! Everything was great and I had an amazing time!

Does this include a trip back to Toronto or is this only one way to Tobermory? As well, will there be time to swim?

Hi! I’m Brenda and I would love to go on this day trip during the week next month that will be hotter. Just wondering if the responsible person can call me. I’m all alone and just wondering if I can just book for me. And what should I get in my bag other than food and water. Please if you can contact me. Thank you!

Are kids below The age of 14 free? Also, if I purchase tickets in advance and the US puts a halt on travel, will my tickets get refunded? Or do you recommend waiting to purchase the tickets a week prior to the trip?I am not sure how availability has been affected due to social distances measures have been implemented and the requirements for smaller groups. If I want to purchase tickets a few days in advance, will space/ availability be limited ultimately preventing the purchase of multiple tickets?
