We loved every minute of this excursion! We sat on the deck of the boat the whole time. We saw two groups of whales as well as seals, porpoises and bald eagles. The staff were very knowledgeable and shared so much information with us! They offered free hot drinks as well as

This is more of an expensive method of transportation from Vancouver to Victoria, rather than a whale watching tour. It’s almost like, “we’ll get you to Victoria and maybe on the way, we’ll look for some whales”...in our case, we were about 30 minutes out full speed on our way

Hello Roland, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are very sorry that our tour didn't meet your expectations. We operate many different adventures from Vancouver, Victoria and Telegraph Cove. Some of these adventures do not include a whale watching component but for those that do, we can assure you that is our priority to share a fascinating whale watching experience with our guests. We are dealing with wild mammals which means that it is unpredictable in terms of where they will show up but we do our very best to find these beautiful whales. Our purpose is definitely not to check a box and we welcome guests to take a tour with us for free under our year-round whale sighting guarantee policy in the instance that they do not see any whales the first time with us. We are very sorry to hear that there was an issue with an entangled crab trap line and if an issue like this does occur, we do everything in our power to ensure that the issue gets fixed promptly.

We found the information from this company misleading in several details. 1. We were informed that the trips would be whale watching both ways, ie that if we didn't see any whales from the boat, then the second part of the trip by seaplane would also be whale watching. However,

Hello Penelope, We appreciate you sharing your experience with us as all customer feedback is very important to us. It is possible to see a whale from the Seaplane but we would never promote the Seaplane experience as a ''whale watching portion'' of the tour. We are sorry to hear that you didn't have a good view from the Seaplane. Seats are allocated on a first come first serve basis but typically every seat gives a nice view for its passengers. Yes, we share information, but tour times vary and this causes differences in the experience you receive relative to the company and departure time you choose. The whale that you saw on our tour was a lone transient male T77A. He has a history and reputation of playing with crab and prawn traps which has made him a well known Orca. In this instance, he wasn't entangled or distressed but we do appreciate your concerns. When a guest books a tour with us, an email with important information is automatically sent to the guest. This email outlines exact departure and arrival locations and does identify the return address at Harbour Air Vancouver 1055 Canada Place. We do ask everyone to check in at 7:30am as we can have up to 180 guests that need to be checked in and sometimes this can take longer than anticipated. We also did try to call you the day before your adventure to confirm the change in departure location, but we were only able to leave a voicemail and could not reach you directly. We do appreciate your feedback in relation to our staff as they work very hard to ensure our guests receive a comfortable, educational and enjoyable adventure.

This was a fantastic trip. The company were extremely well organised even calling the day before to emphasise appropriate clothing for being out on the sea and confirm the booking. The boat trip was brilliant. The boat was well furnished and comfortable. The “crew” were

Hello, Thank you for your wonderful review and for sharing your feedback with us. Our staff are certainly very informative and passionate about what they do and we are glad you agree. Whales and Fly is definitely a fantastic adventure as BC is stunning from the air and the water! Insider tip: If you get the opportunity to fly again, you can request a seat next to the pilot to get a wonderful bird's-eye view of the city. First come first serve! :)
