About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- eg2670 contributionsBurrard Queen/Shangri-La Vancouver Christmas Dinner CruiseWe had booked a dinner cruise on December 15th, 2024 the Burrard Queen (Roast Beef and Salmon Dinner) via the Eventbrite website. We paid $37 for parking then walked over to the boat area which was not very well lit. Along the way we ran into a fellow who asked where we were going and what boat. He had no identification or flashlight or anything. We showed him tickets and he said "oh no, Burrard Queen isn't going out, you'll be on the Shangri-La. We told him we weren't happy about that. We were directed to a dock where a small yacht was parked. We mentioned again that we were disappointed that we had not been notified about a boat switch. We were whisked onboard and told to go to the top of the boat. We walked through a nice warm salon before going up the stairs to the top of the vessel, which is usually an outside space. It did not have walls or windows, but a layer of plastic to keep the elements out. We froze our backsides off for the almost 4 hours we were onboard. We were directed to go to the food area later on, which was down the narrow set of stairs to the warm area. We went back upstairs with our food and ate with coats, hats, gloves and scarves on. There were only plastic forks provided so cutting the Turkey was not easy. The menu wasn't Salmon & Roast Beef as advertised and what we had paid for on the Burrard Queen. The music was way too loud. I contacted the organizer after the cruise. He said we should have spoken to someone before getting onboard and eating. We did raise our concerns to at least 2 people before getting onboard. I was told that because we had eaten the food, there was nothing that could be done for us. The evening cost over $200 with parking. This was a classic bait & switch. Burrard Queen holds more than 200 passengers. Shangri-La holds about 65 passengers. Do NOT book on Burrard Queen as it likely is not the boat you will end up on. I also would not recommend the Shangri-La.Written 21 December 2024

- lisalQ5362XJ0 contributionsA Magical Year End Celebration on the WaterWe had the best time on the Vancouver Holiday Festive Dinner Cruise! We were introduced to this experience by the fabulous Alejandra Ortiz and knew right away it was exactly what we needed to celebrate the year-end. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest staff and guided to our seats, complete with a personalized sign featuring our company name. The staff’s attention to detail and attentive service made us feel truly spoiled. The live music kept us entertained, and the beautiful views of Vancouver's skyline during the cruise made the evening magical. The food was excellent, and I especially appreciated the festive holiday menu offerings. It was such a special night, and we are so grateful for the effort that went into making our 2024 business celebration one to remember. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience!Written 18 December 2024

- SeniortravellerPerth0 contributionsDon’t waste your moneyThis was a total waste of money. Obviously things have changed since the reviews of 2023. There was no commentary - fortunately, a fellow passenger was a local so she was able to tell us what we were looking at. The food was below average. The staff appeared to be all backpackers who hadn’t a clue about the harbour - obviously no training had been provided. We sailed very slowly in a very small circle, the main view being container ships and industrial sites. Despite the perfect weather, we went no where near the ocean end of the harbour. I would suggest to those wanting to sail on the harbour, to take the one hour tour as this tour has a commentary and no rubbish lunch.Written 15 August 2024
- J3242FGaw0 contributionsBeautiful day, but unplanned route change without noticeDisappointing as we expected to go to Indian Arm and see many of the sights promised to us in the advertisement. There was no explanation but the cruise ended up just circling Vancouver Harbour with mostly views of container ships. It was a beautiful clear day, and with the lack of wind and waves, I don't see why the route was changed. There was also no explanation or announcement regarding this change. I wouldn't recommend going on this cruise.Written 13 July 2024
- TERRAvelista0 contributionsGreat way to see Vancouver from the waterWe booked well in advance our cruise with Constitution during the week and fortunately there were extremely few people around: - we showed our printed ticket before boarding Constitution and went to the top deck where there are very large seating and un-obstructed views - very friendly crew, knowledgeable young narrator learning the trade and good bar/toilets downstairs, way cleaner than many other similar cruises around the world - you are taken in a loop from this area just south of Stanley park, passing Canada place and the Sea port (featured recently on Amazing race Canada) with lots of planes taking off every few minutes in an one hour tour returning via the northern side where the Shipyard is - this is a great way to relax in some fresh air, take in some info about this gorgeous town, especially when there are no kids to scream near you.Written 10 July 2024
- C2826FItoms0 contributionsPoor Customer ServiceWe were encouraged to book online and pay for this sight seeing cruise at the time of booking. Unfortunately we missed the cruise because our connecting cruise ship from Princess was late in getting us disembarked. We contacted Viator, whom we book thr to request a refund. Viator called Harbour Cruises and explained our situation, but Habour Cruises refused to offer any refund. Be Warned, don't would pay for a cruise with this company in advance, as they will not refund you.Written 29 June 2024
- lindajlar0 contributionsUnflexible!I am sure this would have been good.. but, beware! Harbour cruises are completely inflexible! My husband had to undergo heart surgery and I wanted to rebook our cruise. The was NO WAY! Even weeks in advance! We just lost our money and they pocketed it.Written 1 May 2024

Perfect for our group, who loved the photo booth and DJ. We rocked that ship thanks to all the professional happy crew. You helped us set the bar for our National meetings.Written 6 October 2023

- LauderdaleLass0 contributionsVancouver Paddlewheel Harbor CruiseThe dinner cruise on The Constitution paddlewheel was a perfect way to view the harbor and sights of Vancouver. Each deck and the bow afforded a different perspective of the bridges, the shoreline and of course, the lights of the city. Good food, good drinks and the warmth and friendliness of the staff made the experience marvelous and memorable.Written 18 September 2023
- caliowa0 contributionsSeptember Sunset Dinner CruiseA great option on a beautiful evening when staying in Vancouver, British Columbia overnight after Alaskan cruise. Very relaxing with unique entertainment being provided by a young man and his father(?) playing guitar, bongo drum and singing wide variety of songs. Evening was staffed very well and personable. Full bar and buffet of high quality. Couldn’t ask for more of a beautiful evening on the water the scenery was beyond compare!Written 17 September 2023
- John S0 contributionsGreat Dinner Cruise! This was much nicer than I had expected. The boat was NOT the paddle boat pictured, but a much nicer newer three deck ship. Very comfortable! The quality food was very good with a good choice of menu items. They sat us with another lovely couple at a 6 seat table (all were like this) so it gave you plenty of room as you get up frequently. The route took as all around Vancouver from the Harbour, under the Lions Gate Bridge and up False Creek as far as it could go then back again. Very scenic with a gorgeous sunset! Highly recommended!Written 4 September 2023

There are different fares depending on age so be sure to ask when making reservations. Best views will be from the top deck but do stand near the railing as everyone else will also be doing that and views are best enjoyed unobstructed. Our two tickets cost $90.20 CAD (including the $4.30 tax).
The narration was so interesting and informative. We did not know that the workers would row boats across the harbor to get to Gassy Jack's bar, and then back again before work.
Seeing the convention center and cruise ships from the perspective of the water was wonderful. Also, the skyline even becomes all the more awesome from this viewpoint.
Snacks and drinks are sold onboard but, really, given that the trip is only an hour, there's hardly time to make a purchase. The weather was absolutely perfect and the sky was incredibly blue. We could not have asked for a better day.
It was well worth the ticket price and comes highly recommended for a nice afternoon excursion.

A very informative one hour sightseeing tour of Vancouver harbour. Our initial booking was cancelled by the operator but they accommodated us on a sailing the next day. Lots of outdoor space on the vessel for photo opportunities. The audio could be improved as it was often difficult to hear the guide on an upper deck.

Beautiful views of the city. The guide provided a great deal of history about the city. The views alone were worth it. The only issue I had was that the guide continued talking when sea planes flew overheard---couldn't hear a word she was saying when that happened. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

As tourists spending a few days in Vancouver we wanted to take an hour sightseeing Cruise around the harbor. The boat could be called charming because of its Paddle Wheel and the scenery was pretty nice. Everyone wants to be on the top deck to take photos but the speakers don't work so you can't hear anything that the guide is saying about the history and culture as we went around the harbor. I don't normally leave reviews but that's the reason why we go on a tourist Cruise in order to learn about the area. Unfortunately no one could hear what was being said because the speakers were so old and didn't work. We paid 96 Canadian dollars for two people and I think for that much money we should be able to come away with some history of the area let alone any sort of safety instructions just in case.

Was trying to book the lunch cruise for our wedding anniversary and accidentally hit the wrong date but didn't notice until after I made the payment. We weren't able to go the date I accidentally booked because we had a friend's celebration of life to go to that day. I phoned the office to see about rescheduling to a date we could make and the receptionist told me she would have to ask the manager, and the manager would call us back in 30 minutes to 1 hour. He never called. The next day I called back to follow up and was told the manager would call me in 24 to 48 hours. A week later and he still hasn't called. Their excessively strict policy of no changes or refunds after they have your money is unacceptable. On top of that they add a mandatory 18% gratuity, before you even board the boat. They not only took our money and gave us nothing for it, they charged us a 18% tip to do so. We're seniors on a fixed income and the $369.22 they ripped us off for could have been put to better use. We had taken this cruise a couple of times in previous years, and even though the food and service is mediocre at best, the beautiful scenery of Indian Arm helped make up for it. They have since changed the route and no longer go up Indian Arm, where the scenery is, but just circle the harbour a couple of times so all you really see are cargo ships and the industrial areas around the harbour. Save your money and avoid the disappointment

Our family of 3 really enjoyed this one hour cruise. Purchased tickets the day before and would recommend to purchase in advance. Spent some time indoors on second level as well as the bulk of the cruise outdoors to take in the sights and snap some fantastic pictures. Relaxing ride, our toddler loved it!

Booked harbour tours on line while in uk. No problem with boarding only 18 passengers. Paddle ship was interesting and clean. Coffee and wine was very welcome. However although it’s not harbour tours fault anyone thinking of booking should be aware that vancouver port is very industrial rather than photogenic. Many many views of container ships. . Probable the least enjoyable tour of our whole trip

The day we went on n this trip was beautifully sunny and warm. We enjoyed seeing the city from different angles, and had something of a commentary too. The sound of the paddle was enjoyable as we made a gentle, leisurely way through the harbour.

The views were fine, but I didn't know what I was looking at. The staff narrating had a heavy accent and it was difficult to understand. You could tell they were not familiar with the script because they starting over what they were reading a few times. Not knocking anyone for English not being their first language, but narration of the sites is a major part of the experience.

How far is it from Vancouver International airport?
Written 27 June 2019
From airport, stay on highway 99, to Vancouver city, then a big loop onto Beach Ave, straight onto Denman St. To the waterfront of Bayshore, Youll see the huge parking lot called Denman Parking, there will be signs for cruise customers to park for free, otherwise you'll have to pay the non-cruise parking spaces,so get there early, It takes 42 minutes from the airport.
