As a 65yr old I had concerns my fitness may suffer, but no, this was a joy. Our guide was really friendly and very informative. We stopped every 10 minutes or so which was great for photos and just taking in the amazing scenery. So glad we did this.Written 18 September 2024

- 650erikb0 contributionsSeeing the city as intendedI only had one day to explore the city and I love cycling. Cycle city tours provided everything I wanted. An absolutely passionate and professional guide (Greg) and a proper bicycle. Although 5h seems long, it was over way too quick! Cycling in the city felt very save and Greg gave us clear instructions. You get to see and learn a lot in what seems to be a very short time. Although I am an avid cyclist, I do believe Cycle City tours chose a route and bike that is easy for any rider, beginner or pro. A shout-out to Greg, love the enthusiasm!Written 15 September 2024
- 797SimonW0 contributionsGreat day cycling VancouverFantastic five hours with German, cycling around Vancouver. Very informative, well paced, plenty of stops. A great sense of humour to keep everyone laughing in the rain.Written 14 September 2024
- mikecO1993QM0 contributionsThe Perfect Bike Tour of VancouverI did the Epic Electric Bike Tour when I was recently in Vancouver. Our tour guide, Chris, did an amazing job. He guided us safely through the streets of downtown Vancouver. We stopped frequently and he explained the history and architecture of the city. We visited the many of the highlights of Vancouver--Canada Place & the convention center, Stanley Park, English Bay, Olympic VIllage, Chinatown, and Gastown. This tour is a great introduction to Vancouver.Written 14 September 2024

We had to make a deposit via our credit card of CAD 5000 (yes, five thousend dollar) for a city bike and an e-bike: CAD 1000 for an old worn our city bike and CAD 4000 for an average e-bike. Clearly deposits that are not in line with the value of the bikes. We had to sign an old fashioned credit card sales form but they refused to give us the customer copy:’ dont worry, we will not use the money’.
So if you do not have CAD 5000 spent remaining on your credit card, or are afraid they charge you this unreasonable deposit, dont hire your bikes here!

Thank you for your feedback, though perhaps there has been a misunderstanding about the deposit. This is not feedback we typically receive.
$5000 was not charged to your card, we hold a slip on file as collateral as a security method in the event that a customer does not return with their bikes. Our staff should have given you the customer copy or the slip upon your return. The 2023 Norco Scene VLT that you rented has a retail value of $3,999+tax and the Breezer Downtown 7 retails for $1,099+tax CAD.
We hope you had a great ride!

We’re local to Vancouver and this is the second year in a row that we’ve booked with Cycle City. We’ve had Greg as our guide both times and he’s amazing. Both the Stanley Park tour and the City Tour are wonderful. The ride is easy with a couple of moderate hills, but our 7/8 year old had no problem managing. Greg shares great facts, tidbits and stories throughout the tours. He’s happy to answer questions and also provides a post-tour email with other recommended attractions and restaurants. The company provides the bikes and helmets and the equipment is sanitized and in great working order. All of us thoroughly enjoyed these experiences, and it’s a wonderful way to see a beautiful city. We highly recommend!!

First off, Vancouver is super bike friendly. Bike lanes everywhere and the drivers seem very aware of cyclists. Everyone at the shop was very nice and readily answered questions even though they were super busy. Prices for bike rentals are reasonable and the bikes are well maintained. They provided a map with routing to all the popular sights in the city. This is a must if visiting Vancouver.

We had a great afternoon touring Stanley Park on a very well serviced bike from City Cycle Tours. The online booking was very easy to use. This meant we were away on on our tour very quickly after arriving at the shop

Staff was so friendly, attentive to our needs, and very accommodating. We rented 2 electric assist bikes and had the best 5 hours of touring the East and West ends of Vancouver. Would highly recommend renting your cycles there or just drop in for some friendly advice.

We rented e-bikes and rode for a full day. We saw so much of the city. The batteries on the bikes were fantastic. We rode in eco-mode for almost the whole way only upping the power on the hills and we returned it almost fully charged. We wanted to go off on our own to explore so didn’t choose a tour. They gave us a map with all the bike lanes and made some suggestions which we followed and had a memorable day. This city has great bike lanes and we felt safe the whole time. Definitely recommend them.

Arrived at 9am on a Sunday in July without a reservation and within 30 mins we had filled out some forms, given fantastic guidance and tips for the route round Stanley Park, our bikes were adjusted to fit and off we went on our half day adventure round Stanley Park and Granville Island! The staff were professional, humorous and just a great bunch to deal with even though it was incredibly busy and pressurised. Would totally recommend this company.

Apart from having done the bike tour with them, Cycle City was nearby our hotel, so a great choice for us to rent a bike for a day ride around Vancouver on our own. Pricing is decent and bicycles are very comfortable. One some bicycles you could even get a basket to not have to carry your backpack or you have a little bag in front to put a camera etc. Very nice staff and helpful, that give you a map so you can find the bike lanes, giving tips on things to do, including the Aquabus. Worth considering if you're staying the centre of Vancouver and need a bike rental.

Enjoyed the eBicycle tour of Vancouver. We covered alot of ground and learned many things about the city as well as enjoying the scenery.
First time on an eBicycle and it was easy to learn and the tutorial ahead of time was very comprehensive.

My family and I did the Grand Tour with Harley today. What an amazing way to see the city! The dedicated bike lanes make it so easy to bike around the city. Harley was so knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting with his stories. The pace of the ride was great for everyone as well. And Harley’s recommendations for Vancouver were much appreciated. Definitely recommend doing this tour and seeing the city in this unique way!

How long does the $38.50 bike tour go for?
Written 26 January 2019
hi,
We didn't book a guided or escorted tour; we hired the bicycles for half a day & toured Stanley Park at our leisure. The main areas are easy to navigate & cycle paths are everywhere.
I am not a regular cyclist but found it easy & enjoyable.

I have a couple of friends that are moving to Vancouver and would like to give them this tour as a gift, so that they get to know the city. I dont know when they will be able to take the tour, but I see that in order to buy the tickets I need to select a date. Can the tour be re-scheduled?

Perhaps you could give them a certificate or note and let them tell you the date to reserve?
