    What to Expect
Escape from Vancouver for a few hours with a visit to Grouse Mountain a year-round theme park celebrating the outdoor and cultural heritage of British Columbia. Get up close and personal with some of the region's incredible wildlife and enjoy fun shows, rides and exhibits, all set among the beautiful forests near Vancouver.

Start your visit by making your own way to Grouse Mountain, located just 8 miles (13km) from Vancouver at your leisure. If you wish, take advantage of the park's complimentary round-trip shuttle from downtown. The shuttle service is based on a first-come first-serve basis and is not guaranteed. The park is open from 9am to 10pm daily. Upon arrival at the park make your way inside, spending as much time as you like enjoying the diverse activities and shows on offer. You can also add in additional park activities including paragliding and ziplining at your own expense.

Peak Experience ticket Your purchase of the "Peak Experience" ticket offers access to a variety of Grouse Mountain amenities. Check out the 45-minute Lumberjack Show, performed in a 1900s-style logging camp. Or head to the Birds in Motion show, where you can observe these graceful aviary hunters as they soar through the air. Meanwhile over at the Wildlife Refuge, a ranger gives talks about the region's indigenous species including bears and other alpine creatures. During summer you can also take a trip on the Peak Chairlift, a summer attraction offering bird's-eye views of the mountain via an on-site ski lift.

During the winter you'll also enjoying ice skating at the park's outdoor rink, sleigh rides and trails for snowshoeing. A December "Peak of Christmas" celebration helps add to the holiday spirit.

Whatever time of year you visit, you admission also includes nature movies at the Theatre in the Sky, Peak Chalet access and round-trips on the Skyride, a 1-mile (1.6km) aerial tram offering sublime views of the surrounding area.

Hi jeaniemac7, Thanks for the great review! We're really, really pleased that you had a great time on the mountain! We love our views and attractions too! As we're moving in to winter, the lumberjacks have gone in to hibernation. The bears will be following suit in the next few weeks. The shuttle is a great way to get to and from the mountain. Unfortunately, it is over for the season. But keep us in mind for the snowy season. Grouse mountain really shines in winter!

OMG we were lucky enough to have breakfast with the bears here, although our meal was in the restaurant but we got time with the bears before all the crowds turned up and it was amazing. To be able to get so up close to these amazing animals was a dream come true. The lumber

Hi tootrue! Thanks for the review and the feedback! We're really glad that you had such a good time visiting us and enjoying the views from up here and some of our attractions. Breakfast with the bears is pretty special! It's also cool to hear that you think Grinder and Coola are as amazing as we think they are. They are off to bed soon for the winter. They'll be sleeping while skiers and boarders riding around in all the fluffy snow. Hope to see you again soon!

Nice sights to the city, bear habitat, lumberjack show. Good for all ages. We took the ski lift down which was fun. Note that there was a lot of criticism posted of the lumberjack show and a politically incorrect, if not downright mean, show that made fun of a handicapped

Went on this tour to see the two orphaned Grizzly Bears. I asked if it was suitable for disabled persons, I was using a disabled walker, and I was told yes. The drive to the Mountain was spectacular and also the Mountain was beautiful. We got up the mountain by very large
