Overview

Ixtapa is a resort island on the sparkling blue waters of the Mexican Riviera, famous for its palm-fringed shores and tranquil beaches. Visitors looking to skip the hassle of arranging their own meals and transportation will love this fun and relaxing private beach day. Hotel transfers, boat rides, and a delicious lunch are all taken care of, leaving you free to swim or snorkel through a coral reef.

What to Expect

Skip the hassle of arranging your own ferry transportation during this relaxing and all-inclusive day in Ixtapa Island, one of Mexico’s most tranquil resort towns.

After front-door pickup from your hotel, enjoy a short and scenic drive and admire the sparkling blue waters of the Mexican Riviera on a relaxing boat ride. The tour visits no less than three different beaches, and you have plenty of free time to strap on some snorkeling gear (own expense), unwind in a lounge chair, or hit the waves. With one of the world’s largest coral reefs at your fingertips, you’re sure to spot some colorful marine life.

After a tasty local lunch with your choice of chicken, quesadilla, or fresh seafood, stop at a lagoon to look for crocodiles, iguanas, and turtles in their natural habitat before heading back to your hotel.

Snorkeling

This was a great experience and the water was clearer than expected on the pacific side. Take the time to spend the day snorkeling and enjoy a relaxing lunch.

Ixtapa Island on your own

If you want to do it on your own inexpensively, take the bus from Zihuatanejo...( the same ones that pass the hotels in Ixtapa) to Playa Linda. The water taxi at Playa Linda to Ixtapa Island runs frequently. On the second stop at the island,...More

Pretty good tour

I guess for the price this wasn't too bad. We were picked up (late, but this is Mexico) in a nice air conditioned van, and taken to the launch point for the ride over to the island. Our tour guide's English wasn't that great, considering...More

Tour to Ixtapa Island and another island

Very hard to get into boat from the wharf. Have to jump into boat while it is bobbing up and down, also getting out of boat, jump onto wharf. Snorkeling was mediocre. No colourful fishes. Throughout the tour only Spanish was spoken. The best part...More
