- Dream309714982880 contributionsMeera and Stanley - best tour to the back waters - birthday surprise included! The experience was great right form the start at Stanley's office. Great, respectful and friendly! During the tour, we had the best tour guide one can possibly ask for. Her name is Meera, make sure to task for her if you ever get this tour. She was knowledgeable, helpful always with a smile on her face. She made sure my partner and I had the best time. In addition to all the above. Stanley and Meera, with a half a day time notice, helped me prepare a birthday surprise for my partner. They had a cake ready, birthday hat and traditional gifts. My partner and I will never forget this experience! Thank you very much Stanley and Meera! I will make sure to book tours with you again!Written 20 January 2025
- indak10 contributionsBackwater tour in KeralaA very good value trip. As well as being on the water, we had a lovely vegetarian dinner. Watched rope making from coconut fibre from start to finish. An informative trip round a spice garden. Ending with a cup of tea. This was on a non motorised boat and canoe, so better for the environment.Written 19 January 2025
- lynnemeggs0 contributionsTranquil backwaters with expert guideWe were fortunate to have Arya as our guide on our tranquil Vaikom backwaters boat tour. She was very warm and friendly. She impressed us with her extensive knowledge of Kerala food, customs and history. She had specialist botanical knowledge and how various herbs are used in cooking and for medicinal purposes. She also pointed out the local birds including the Kingfisher and kite. She is very proud of her Keralan culture and has a deep understanding of the importance of caring for the ecological health of the waterways. She was well supported by her two oarsman who navigated their way through the waterways. We also enjoyed an interesting stop for a class in local coir making.Written 18 January 2025
- Nicole C0 contributionsBeautiful river punting! We had an amazing experience! The punting on the backwaters was so calm and peaceful, such a beautiful morning going up the river, we even got to try punting the boat with the pole, which is harder than it looks! Had an amazing thali lunch at a lovely restaurant and then paddled back in canoes, stopping on the way to see local crafts like rope weaving, grass mat making, and a plantation with fruit trees and spices. Our guide was wonderful, so warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable, it was such an enjoyable day! Beautifully organised by our wonderful host Stanley, I highly recommend booking this tour, you will have a fantastic outing and enjoy the peace and calm of the beautiful Kerala backwaters!Written 15 January 2025
- Deanna S0 contributionsPeaceful experience in backwatersBrilliant experience. Our guide was Arya who was extremely knowledgeable explaining different plants and how this is used in Ayurvedic medicine. Also Arya pointed out all the different birds. Very peaceful as a non motorised houseboat, we took one with a cover. Lovely stop at a village to see weaving. Lunch was delicious - veg thali on a banana leaf. Our hotel has recommended this tour group. We were not pressured for any “extras”.Written 14 January 2025
- Sinead H0 contributionsExcellent 3 Day 2 Night Tour in Munnar! So grateful we found Wilson tours. At the last minute I realized I needed a guide for munnar. I had already booked a hotel (which was a mistake - be sure to ask Wilson tours for a recommendation for best location). And they came though. My tour guide Firoz was exceptional. He was so flexible with accommodating both our accommodation (which was poorly located) and also a different drop off location. He customized all the stops as needed. We visited a spice market were I ended up buying several eastern medicines for various alignments (also the chocolate here was great!). And then we spent the day touring the beautiful plantations of munnar - Firoz new all the best spots for pictures and it was glorious. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. He arranged for a guide (shout out to Ramesh!) who took us on a 3 hour hike through the plantations. My teenagers really enjoyed both the hike and all the interesting facts Ramesh had about the flora and fauna. A definite highlight! We also enjoyed and learned a lot at the tea factory. Overall Firoz made this experience for us and I’m so glad we were connected via Wilson tours. Don’t hesitate to book your trip through them and work to customize to suit your needs. Thank you for showing us this beautiful part of the world.Written 11 January 2025

- VVid300 contributionsBest backwaters experienceAmazing view of the backwaters and an opportunity to see people and their lifestyle in a natural setting. A surreal and soothing experience of flora and fauna. The trip was highly informative learning about spices and coir making. Food was simple and served in village style is worth trying. Overall excellent one day outing for the whole family.Written 2 January 2025
- Hazard57210 contributionsUSA Family of 4 - Good time, worth it, do it.There was Major Confustion about where to meet. We took Taxi to office, nobody was there, then we tried to get to the "Cruise Terminal" which ended up being a secure military base at the rivers edge. Total Fiasco. Make sure you have the Tour owners Cell phone before you leave. In the end they really tried to please! very nice people, romantic and relaxing boat ride. We did not like the lunch served at the riverside retreat center, it looked good but we are very tired of rice and spicy wet food. the chairs on the boat were flimsy and I almost broke it but the lady tour guides were very nice and helpful. My family of 4 was happy. We did not stay for the ending with Canoes, we were too tired by then. The 1/2 day is enough, I would not pay more for full day, the experience is good in 1/2 day. learned a lot about how they make Rope from coconut husks, learned about flowers, Lotus's, very nice day. I would do it again.Written 1 January 2025
- rogerjK3512BJ0 contributionsA memorable experience in Kerala BackwatersThis backwater trip was very nice and exceeded our expactations. Apart from amazing views it was also giving an insight in the way of life on Keralas waterways. The guide, Meera was excellent! Her english is very good and she was very knowledgeable about culture and the environment. Last but not the least she was vary engaged and was really caring for the group. The Kerala thali lunch on a bananaleaf was excellent. For both environmental and tranquility reasons, we prefer the "punting" boots. Very comfortable boats and thanks to the tranquility, you will listen to the sound of nature.Written 30 December 2024

Stanley Wilson tours organised a superb itinerary to Munnar with accommodation, meals and all excursions. Starting from Kochi our driver Ubaid picked us up.
Ubaid is an amazing young man, he is caring, calm, assured and a wonderful driver. He drove safely at all times, he gave us both confidence in the busy traffic you see on Keralan roads. We stopped for a tea and snack at a small roadside cafe which was very nice. On to the waterfall and a comfort break. Ubaid explained interesting facts about sights along our journey, it was lovely talking to him. We paid a visit to a smaller waterfall and then the Spice garden before arriving in Munnar. After checking in we had time to explore the town before dinner. Dinner was plentiful and very tasty, thanks to Pandiyan and Robin, your attention to detail and your care was very much appreciated.
After a goodnights sleep and a great breakfast. Our guide Ramesh, took us on a fantastic tour of the tea gardens, explaining everything you need to know about tea, the plantation and the people employed to work there. The walk through the vast plantation was spectacular, the scenery is breathtaking, apart from tea bushes, we met tea plantation workers, saw amazing wildlife, birds, flowers, goats and a Bull Elephant. We were very lucky to see the Elephant!!
In the afternoon Ubaid took us to visit the Tea factory. For something we drink regularly it was fascinating to see the journey from the tea leaf picked in the plantation to the finished article ready to be shipped to the companies who package & sell us tea at home. After an early dinner we had another great nights sleep in preparation for our early trek to see the sunrise. Ramesh was our guide and what a treat we had. Walking through the countryside in darkness just our torches and the stars to light our way we made it to the summit, there we sat on a rock for the best view of the sunrise. It was amazing, the views were far reaching and spectacular. The descent was just as lovely, walking through the tea garden. We were again lucky to see a very large bison on our journey through the plantation. The team Stanley has for this excursion is top class. We cannot recommend this trip more highly. Thankyou for a really memorable experience

It was an amazing experience and well worth the price! We did the 2 days 1 night trip and thought that was the perfect amount of time. Our driver Ubaid was very kind and helpful, often pointing things out along the drive that we might have otherwise missed. He also recommended a lovely lunch spot for us on the journey. Our stay at the hotel was lovely too- they provided an outstanding breakfast and dinner with more than enough food. The standout of our trip was definitely the tea estate walk…be ready for some steep inclines and walking off the beaten track. Our guide Ramesh was so patient with us and we enjoyed talking to him about his life. When you’re in Munnar town, be sure to check out the cultural dance Kathikali and the fight show (tickets were ~£3 per show). Overall we had a great time and could not reccommend this anymore

We had an incredible experience with Green Day Magic Tour to Munnar, and I want to give a special shoutout to Ubaid, our driver, and Ramesh, our guide.
Ubaid was exceptionally professional, friendly, and an excellent driver. He ensured our safety throughout the journey, even while driving through heavy rain. He chose a fantastic spot for breakfast on the way, which set the tone for the rest of our day. Ubaid also took us to a beautiful tea plantation hike where Ramesh, our guide, took over.
Ramesh was fantastic! He guided us through the tea plantation hike with great knowledge and enthusiasm, making the experience unforgettable. After the hike, Ubaid took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch, followed by visits to a tea factory and an Ayurvedic garden.
Despite the rainy weather, Ubaid’s careful driving and cheerful demeanor made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip. By the end of the day, we were dropped back at our hotel safe and sound, feeling completely satisfied with the tour.
Thank you, Green Day Magic Tour, Ubaid, and Ramesh, for a well-organized, memorable experience! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Munnar.

We had a wonderful day trip with Stanley Wilson, and our driver Firoez. Everything was smooth and. It started with an early morning pickup from our hotel, then we stopped for a delicious breakfast along the way and did a (surprisingly, but enjoyably) challenging hike through the tea fields with a local guide. The hike was stunning and had fabulous views.
After the hike, we had a great lunch at a restaurant in the mountains, made stops at the Lockhart Tea Factory and the Spice Garden (for ayurvedic plants), then made the trip home. It is a LOT of driving for one day (if you can, I'd recommend at least 1 night in Munnar, maybe 2), but Firoez was very attentive and super friendly. We felt like we were in great hands.

I see a lot of positive reviews over Stanley Wilson Tour and can affirm - they are genuine.
So happy to take a private 2 nights 3 days tour to Munnar.
The manager was very honest (we were unable to book a trip for the first time due to the monsoon conditions, and I’m glad to say that the manager cares about your life and travel experience).
The driver Ubaid picked us up from our apartment (the driving skills of Ubaid is amazing: it’s difficult to relax on Indian road traffic, but for us it was possible even take a nap).
The hotel was simple, but the stuff were so careful (they provided us with delicious breakfasts and dinners, and were careful about spicy options, explained what Indian food did we eat and even gave us apples as desert (apples are quite expensive in India)).
The tea plantation tour with our guide Ramesh was so peaceful. Nice to see a person who loves his work and shares his experience and knowledge. He prepared for us a small lunch with local biscuits and juice. It was very thoughtful and nice of him.
The weather was dry but shifts to the rain, so it is better to be prepared to the weather conditions (raincoats, crocs and waterproof socks made us enjoying every minute of our trip).
The weather in Munnar is colder, so some warm clothes may be useful.
All excursions are very mind provoking.

It is ideal for those seeking a calm place to recharge over the weekend (we stayed there for three nights). This tour includes sightseeing involving tea and spices. Most of all, we had a lot of luck with our driver, Ubaid, who drives safely and contributes to a very comfortable and mood-uplifting environment. Based on our request, he also gave us good advice on the best massage spot in the area and a good spot to get quality tea for a reasonable price. Similar applause goes to the cook, Robin, for offering variations of yummy food, also adjustable to allergies and other needs. The accommodation was simple and clean, with the main highlights being the view from the terrace and the proximity to the river.

I went on the Munnar tea plantation trekking tour, and it was a fantastic experience!
Ubaid, our driver, was punctual, reliable, and incredibly kind. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey and gave us some great recommendations for breakfast and lunch. Thanks to him, we got to try some delicious Munnar dishes that we might have missed otherwise. His driving skills were impressive, navigating the winding roads with ease, which made the long drive relaxing and enjoyable.
Ramish, our trekking guide, was so knowledgeable and fun to be around. He shared so much interesting information about indigenous plants, explaining how they’re used for food and medicine, and even pointed out animal footprints along the way. He had an amazing grasp of the history of the tea plantations and how tea is farmed and processed, which added so much depth to the experience. Ramish also kept the pace just right and always made sure we were having a good time.
The tour itself was just as described – from the scenic drive with waterfall stops to the trek through the tea hills, free delicious breakfast and luch, and the visit to the tea factory. Everything was well-organized, and Ubaid and Ramish went above and beyond to make it enjoyable.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kochi.

Traveled here to Munnar with Wilson Tour. Tea plantation 3 nights 4 days.
Ubaid our guide proved to be very nice, friendly and always in a good mood. If at all possible, he fulfilled our wishes! The tour is really excellent. The hike with Ramesh through the tea plantations was a dream, a lot was explained and we reached our destination knowing how much work goes into making a cup of tea. The view from the top, sitting on a rock while taking a break, makes you feel completely calm. There were only five of us and that was very pleasant.
The accommodation at the Green Magic Hotel was very nice. The rooms are very clean and big enough, with a fan, you don't need anything else as it is rather cool up here at 1600 meters. A large terrace where you can sit beautifully with a wonderful view of the mountains. Robin cooked for us excellently, whether it was breakfast or dinner, always with a lot of love and variety! Upon request, the preparation of a masala tea was not only explained to us but also practically shown in the kitchen! We'd love to take this recipe home with us as an inspiration!
All in all, this tour was more than successful, we felt very comfortable at all times and had wonderful days here!
Yes the price!!!!
Simply unbeatable!!!!

We had the most incredible day travelling to Munnar and highly recommend this tour if you are short on time in Kerala - it is worth the long drive! Our driver Ubaid was great and made the experience so seamless. The highlight was our hike through the tea fields (around 3 hours, wear comfortable walking shoes) with our guide Ramesh, who was so knowledgeable and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Thanks so much to both of them and Wilson Tours for an amazing day!

I can’t figure out if this is a day tour or includes an overnight stay in Munnar. Please clarify.
