US$ 122.00

Chichen Itza and Ek Balam are two unmissable archaeological parks in Mexico, famous around the world for their impressive Maya ruins. During this action-packed combo tour, get a firsthand peek at these spellbinding ancient sites, with both a guided visit and time to explore on your own. Top off the day with a refreshing dip in a sunken limestone swimming hole and a delicious buffet lunch.

What to Expect

This action-packed tour visits two spellbinding Maya ruins: Chichen Itza and Ek Balam.

Depart from your hotel and enjoy a scenic drive to Chichen Itza, home to towering stepped pyramids and intricate temples. A private guide is on-hand to provide enriching background on the history and culture of the once mighty Maya civilization and to bring to life relics, such as the ancient Ball Court, where tournaments ended in murder. You also have time to wander on your own.

Stop for a refreshing dip in a sunken limestone swimming hole, or cenote, before lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to a tequila museum for a peek at the agave-based spirit. Most tours end there, but your final stop is Ek Balam, where you can marvel at well-preserved buildings, such as the Acropolis. Transport, food, and entrance fees are all covered, saving you the hassles of planning.
