Tulum Combo Tour: Archaeological Site, Cenotes and Yalku Lagoon
US$ 149.00
Overview
Enjoy three adventures on this 6.5-hour round trip excursion to Tulum. Take a guided tour of Tulum's archeological ruins, swim in cenotes (natural sinkholes in the earth), and take a plunge into a lagoon teeming with flora and fauna. Hotel pickup and drop-off and lunch are included. You will experience a good overview of Mexico's Maya Riviera.
What to Expect

Depart your Playa del Carmen hotel for Tulum, about one hour away. Most famous for its archeological ruins situated atop a dramatic clifftop bluff, the lively beach town was once a center of Mayan trade and defense. Your guide leads you on a tour, then you are free explore further on your own, or, descend the stairs beside the ruins that lead to a small public beach for a dip.

Next you will visit two cenotes, or natural sinkholes in the earth. The Yucatan Peninsula’s cenotes form one of the most extensive underground river system in the world and they are like nothing else you’ve seen.

Continue on to Yal Ku Lagoon, an estuary where fresh water from the underground rivers meets saltwater from the sea, creating a unique environment where many fish and sea creatures live and raise their young.

After 6.5 hours of fun, the tour ends with drop-off at your Playa del Carmen hotel.

I would wear a bathing suit under a cover up and water shoes. Bring a towel. Keep it minimal, you can leave bags in the van. Don’t forget sunglasses!
