          Loved the turtles and cenote!
Swimming with turtles and in the cenote was amazing! However I felt too much time was spent at the Ruins. Our tour was in multiple langues even though we booked in English so our guide had to repeat herself. Guide was lovely and knowledgeable but unless your really into archaeology maybe just do turtles and cenote!

The trip was a great experience for us. The guide Alejandro Jimenez proved a great knowledge of history and nature, cared for us very patiently, our safety was guaranteed by his attitude. By the way he is an excellent diver while snorkeling 😀. Ameth as fotographer made nice and interesting photos and we were pleased to buy them for the memory. Safety on our road trip was mastered by driver Alejandro. Thanks to these guys who are doing their job as a passion. Last but not least the crew of all rest travellers was fine an also thanks to all of them. Written by Pavel as representative of 2 Czech couples.

Senior Cesar Salad was an amazing host! I was blown away by how many sea turtles we got to swim up close with (9 sightings!). He was very knowledgeable and passionate. The cenote swim was gorgeous and a relaxing way to end the day.

          Amazing experience
Our experience with Hamlet and Teff of ocean tours was amazing ! They were kind, energetic and knowledgeable. We felt very safe and taken care of throughout our tours of the ruins, sea turtles and centoes! They made our very shy daughter feel at ease and helped her along during the sea turtles portion ! Highly recommend

          Wonderful cenotes and tour
The cenotes were beautiful and our tour guide David was the best! He made the experience more memorable I felt like it was one of my friends giving a tour. He made us feel safe and protected and explained to detail about stuff inside the cenotes, so I also learned a lot throughout it. His energy is great I would most definitely come back again to get another tour with him!

A fun filled day seeing the top 3 places on our list in 1 go!
Great overall experience seeing all the things we really wanted to while visiting this part of Mexico. The ruins and history guide was fascinating (although very hot even on a semi overcast day) but the water experiences afterwards definitely cooled us down. We saw a bunch of turtles, sting ray and fish and the water was amazing. The cenote exploration was really neat going into the caves and seeing just how long they've been around. A very cool day full of history, wildlife and enjoyment. To top it all off, our tour guides Ruben and Jhenny were top notch! So funny and interactive. My 15 yr old son and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend.

Amazing trip with an incredible team!
I did the Tulum / Snorkeling / Cenote tour with Ruben as the guide, Javier as the driver and Johnny as the photographer. These gentlemen were amazing. As a woman traveling by myself it is wonderful to have such a caring and safe experience. Ruben is amazing: his humor, knowledge and incredible language skills truly made the experience better. Javier is an excellent driver and kind man, and Johnny's photos were spectacular. The sites were gorgeous and the team definitely enhanced the whole experience.

          Great trip, must do.
This was a great tour, our Guide Yul was passionate and extremely knowledgable, giving us a true guided tour. Very organised and our belonging felt safe with Jemma on the mini bus which was very comfortable, even on the terrible track to the Cenote. The snorkelling was as expected, the water is green, not blue so just be aware , I could still see stingrays and turtles so was very happy. If you’re not a confident swimmer then there is a safety guy with a life ring to give you a breather. My favourite part was actually the Cenote and watching the bats that flew overhead as we navigates the caves. There was no hard sell for photos which I appreciate. The snack wasn’t to my liking, I felt it was quite bland but I guess they have to cater for all tastes, still a welcome stop. Would definitely recommend, thankyou again Yul, you really made this tour special or is.

We had a great time with Ocean Tours. We joined their Isla Contoy and Isla Mujeres with snorkeling tour after being with them in Tulum. The Tulum ruins and cenote adventure tour was great so we had the same expectations and our guide didn’t disappoint.
However, we found this tour quite expensive for what it offered. Especially for our teenagers aged 13 and 15 who don’t drink alcohol, paying the same amount as an adult was not reasonable.
Isla Contoy is a paradise! Pristine and beautiful. We enjoyed our time there. The lunch was good but not enough. It ran out very quickly and hardly anyone in our group had a chance to have more.
The snorkeling was very rushed and not colourful at all.
Isla Mujeres was overcrowded and having only one hour there it makes you feel stressed and overwhelmed.
Overall we believe it was overpriced but we surely loved Isla Contoy!

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us in Tulum and had the chance to explore the stunning Isla Contoy. Wonderful day spent on Isla Mujeres and Isla Contoy! Our guide, Coco was so much fun! We began the day at 7am with a hotel pickup and drove to the docks where we were greeted with fresh juice and fruits for breakfast. We then got on the boat called Sol Ha and went out to where we would snorkel- Mako reef! Really neat experience seeing statues under the water and some small fish. There were a lot of other tours with tens of other snorkelers in the water at the same time so it did seem a bit crowded out on the reef but still a great, refreshing snorkel experience. We then went to Isla Mujeres and had a couple hours to explore, shop and walk around. Playa Norte is about a 15 minute walk from where we ported and the beach was very crowded but the waters were well worth it! Gorgeous blue waters! After leaving Isla Mujeres, we went to Isla Contoy, about a 35 minute boat ride. We had the entire island to ourselves! Photos do NOT do this place justice. It is incredibly serene and peaceful. We had the option to go on a short walking tour and learned about the animals that inhabit the island. The walking tour took us up to a lookout where we could see a full 360 degree circumference view of everything around the island. The views are beautiful. The captain of the boat grilled fresh fish for lunch with rice, guacamole, chips, pineapple and Coca Cola or water for lunch. Absolutely delicious food. The rest of the time on the island was free time to swim and relax on the white sand beaches. Coco played fun music during the boat rides and van ride and opened up a bottle of tequila to pour into passengers mouths on the boat ride back to Cancún! All in all, it is a long day. We did not get dropped off from our tour until after 7:30pm. The duration states it’s 8 hours but ours was well over a 12 hour day so be prepared to miss your dinner reservation that evening but it is well worth it!

This was the best day of our trip! The staff was friendly, fun, and dedicated to making sure we had a great experience. Unlike other tours we went on during our vacation, Ocean Tours wasn't constantly harassing us for tips or trying to sell us overpriced souvenirs. Unfortunately, we discovered the day before that my toddler gets sea sick and my wife decided to stay at home with her. To our surprise, Ocean Tours was willing to refund us for her ticket despite the last minute cancellation. The staff picked us up in the morning, provided snacks and drinks the entire day, made a delicious buffet lunch of fresh fish and bbq chicken, and took us to Isla Contoy and Isla Mujeres. Isla Contoy is a must see. The beach is fantastic and you have practically the whole beach to yourself. Ocean Tours gave us a great walking tour of the island and took us snorkeling nearby. While I wish we had more time and freedom for snorkeling, the experience was exactly as advertised. I would highly recommend Ocean Tours and look forward to booking another trip with them

I would highly recommend doing this if you enjoy speed boats and exploring. The tour guides were extremely friendly, informative and accommodating (JP in particular for us).

The first island was beautiful and the food the captain and his crew prepared was amazing.

The snorkelling was also good fun but also a little more effort than I have experienced in the past.

The second island was fantastic. Colourful, vibrant and there was plenty to see. My one negative is I wish we would have had a little more time and the second island.

The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the mini bus ride from the hotel. It was extremely uncomfortable and the air-con basically didn’t work. The staff on the bus however were excellent, answering any question, informing us about the day and generally talking to us about Mexico.

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! It's great to hear that you had a positive overall experience with the speed boat tour, especially with friendly and informative tour guides like JP. The combination of exploring beautiful islands, enjoying delicious food prepared by the crew, and engaging in snorkeling added to the adventure. Your feedback about the wish for more time on the second island is valuable information for others considering the tour. It's always helpful to know about the aspects that stood out as positive and areas for improvement. It's unfortunate to hear about the discomfort during the mini bus ride, but it's good to know that the staff on the bus were helpful and informative. Feedback like yours can be important for tour operators to enhance the overall experience for future participants. Best regards Laura OCEAN TOURS

Contoy Island is spectacular, the excursion is worth it just to be on this island. The explanations from the guide Thaltemoa were very good, nor did they take a tour of the island on foot.
The snorkeling for my taste was too hasty, you see corals and fish (in passing) because they make you go in line one after the other and super fast, you can't stay looking at anything.
Isla Mujeres disappointed us, it is overcrowded, it is a very touristy beach with a lot of shops on the main and parallel streets.
We, and many of the people who were on the boat, would have preferred to spend more time snorkeling and not go to Isla Mujeres.
The boat staff, the bus driver and the rest of the people who assisted us were very correct.

Suza my guide was awesome, she has got a great knowledge of the Yucatan peninsula and the islands'&flora and fauna. The trip was excellent, they picked me up on time, and I can only recommend this tor with Open Tours to everybody who is interested in to visit the PARADISE on Isla Contoy. The only problem is that we couldn't stay there all day :) The crew of the boat was also very professional and friendly, it was my best one day trip in Mexico!

The entire trip start to finish was great. Our morning pickup was in an 8 passenger van and was within 15 minutes of our estimated pickup time. Our driver and our guide were phenomenal the entire time, and provided tons of information. Isla Contoy was absolutely beautiful and worth every dollar to see, the snorkeling and quick visit to Isla Mujeres were just bonuses. We had a clear day so snorkeling was perfect and the water was crystal clear. We got picked up at about 06:30 and dropped back off at about 18:30 from Playa Del Carmen. If you’re debating doing it, I highly recommend, especially if it’s a clear day and hasn’t rained for a day or two.

Unfortunately more than half an hour left due to late passengers. You have to be on time, but the bus was still waiting and that takes away from your time. Good driver. 2 beautiful islands given enough time. Lunch was sufficient. According to the information before booking, a snorkel was planned, but upon arrival it was said that it was cancelled. Weather was fine and there were plenty of places to snorkel along the way, but we didn't do that. Very sloppy to communicate this in this way. We paid for it and did not have the option to cancel because we were told upon arrival. Unacceptable. There were several people who brought snorkeling gear. So for nothing. Tour guide was friendly, tour guide was unfriendly and bit and rude. On the way back she suddenly jumped out of the car after saying goodbye while the driver still had to drop us all off. Very impersonal and not hospitable. Also in the morning she was drinking coffee in the car while we all went without coffee for 1.5 hours. Do not book this because they do not keep to the agreements. Also waiting half an hour for passengers because the people from the bus are not put on the same bus. Very bad and chaotic.

What they don’t tell you is the massive amounts of mosquitoes that will be eating away at your soul when taking the “tour around the island” and I truly mean massive amounts my fiancé and I were covered in red stops all over our body. I left the tour after 5 minutes because I wasn’t going to deal with the mosquitoes while trying to listen to the tour guide. I’m sure they are used to it but I am not and I hate mosquitoes I wish we were told before. They only passed around a natural bug spray but didn’t specify that it was needed because I would get bit alive by mosquitoes 5 minutes later. Despite this, isla mujeres and isla contoy were truly breathtaking we had an awesome time on the boat ride there with Pepe, the tour guide, dancing and being entertained. They have various tour guides that speak many languages so you’ll be placed with someone you are comfortable with. I did not get motion sickness one bit but they do offer Dramamine beforehand just in case. When you arrive to isla mujeres you’ll have some time to explore, be careful to get sucked into renting the golf carts to ride around if you don’t want to politely decline. We did but we enjoyed it and it was worth it instead of walking everywhere - if I remember the fee was ~$50. The snorkeling portion wasn’t out of this world unfortunately the coral reef was grey and there weren’t many fishes too see and that is not the tour’s fault it is just how our oceans are. So besides the mosquitoes!!! I would recommend this tour as part of your trip

Dear Domenica, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I understand that this tour was overall a good one, except the mosquitoes?! Good to see that Pepe did help apparently to entertain the day and make you forget about the bites maybe for a while. Some people do get more easily bitten and I am sorry to see that you were one of them to read your comments. We are sorry to see that this made you rate the tour only 2 stars, as after reading your excellent comments you left with your guide after the tour, I want to believe that the rest was up to your standards, the service in general? just these mosquitoes!... I understand that these can indeed be really annoying, and we wish we had the control over them. Bug sprays can only help a bit but not erradicate them completely for sure. Anyway, we hope that this incident will not have a major impact on your experience with Ocean tours, and that the best of it will remain. Kind regards, Geraldine Ocean tours
