About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jeff P0 contributionsInterested in historyWe were fortunate to have several tours with Travelezza which included Ek Balam and Chichen Itzá and cenote, which you can find on their website. Our guide, Blanca, and driver, Carlos, were professional, enthusiastic, and helpful answering any questions or concerns we had. If you can, don’t miss Ek Balam and take the tour.Written 4 March 2025
- ElviraAlger0 contributionsAmazing tour, a must in MeridaAmazing and very professional tour, The tour guide and the driver arrived on time and were dressed very professional. The van was very clean, with AC. They offered to us water and snacks. They were very patient with us. Alfonso Velasco our tour guide is very acknowledged and speaks a very good English. Juan, the driver, is very good, we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable.Written 15 February 2025

- michellef21220 contributionsFabulous Yucatecas Haciends/Cenotes Tour - Amazing Day!I did a full day YUCATECAS HACIENDAS AND THE ESSENCE OF ITS CENOTES private tour with Travelezza in Merida area and it was fantastic. Luisa was so great to work with & proactive with all communication. Our driver/guide Gabriel could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The pace of the tour was excellent and we really felt like we had the insider scoop, since Gabriel knew everyone at the Haciendas by name and seemed to have special access! The 3 haciendas we saw were each so unique and the 2 Cenotes we were able to swim in at the end of the day were breathtaking! Fantastic Tour. We also stopped for lunch at the perfect spot & enjoyed fabulous lunch. I cannot recommend this tour or Travelezza enough!Written 20 January 2025

- OTHON W0 contributionsAwesome times in the Yucatan peninsulaOur entire experience from the pick up at our hotel in Merida to our splash into a Cenote was a thing of beauty. Alfonso our guide was on time and really made our time together at the sites memorable and educational as well. It was a lot of fun and would highly recommend this company…A+!!Written 2 January 2025
- cgs0120180 contributionsAmazing history of the ancient civilizations of the YucatanLuisa arranged a special tour for us on very short notice when another tour company cancelled our tour to the ruins at Kabah and Uxmal and a tour of the chocolate museum. Our guide, David, was excellent and very knowledgeable about the ruins. He was also a very good driver. He also was happy to add a visit to the governor's palace in Merida to see the 32 murals that tell the history of the region. We would recommend Travelezza to anyone travelling to the Yucatan.Written 30 December 2024
- TripAdrequireshandle0 contributions6 starsLuisa arranged a perfect tour for my husband and me. He loves flamingos and wanted to photograph them without rushing or keeping a group waiting. We went to Celestún with Blanca as guide and Jorges as driver. There we were met by a birdwatching guide and a boat driver who Blanca said was the best (Leo). We spent almost two hours on the water. We learned a lot and my husband had ample time. Next we went on some roads to see flamingos on a dirt road. Our birdwatching guide and his mentor had scouted the best place in the morning before we arrived. It was great to be close to perhaps 2 dozen here. Then we stopped for fresh crab in Celestun and visited the birdwatching guide’s unusual cafe. On the drive Blanca shared enthusiastically and tirelessly about the area and Yucatan history. Her knowledge was broad and her energy delightful. The others were informed and eager to help us have a very special experience. We are looking forward to our second tour later this week. We chose this agency because Luisa was such a great listener to our priority interests.Written 4 December 2024
- Voyage032424389370 contributionsDon't do this. Save your money and your time and do anything else, including sleeping during port time.Don't do this excursion. Seriously. It's a waste of time and money. Worst excursion ever. It was rushed, and you may want to eat a large breakfast before going in this because the snack is infant sized. The carriage ride left lots to be desired. The museum is just plain boring. And the gelato is actually sorbet. The entire excursion is rushed because they start late, which apparently, is common vlfir this excursion. If you feel like shopping, ain't gonna happen on this excursion. Wanna see other sites? Forget about it. Just avoid this excursion all together, you'll thank me later.Written 26 November 2024

- Heidi_loves_travel0 contributionsDon't miss Uxmal, and this private tour was perfect.I have been to a lot of pyramids and Uxmal is my favorite. The site is large and there is so much detail still on the buildings. Our tour guide Blanca was great at explaining many of the details and the history. (As a bonus she also pointed out a couple great photo spots!) The chocolate museum was interesting and included a Maya ceremony and a demonstration of the Maya chocolate processing with tasting. The cenote had a couple fun jumping spots. The tour being private was also nice as everything was at our own pace.Written 7 August 2024
- Tourist667363151330 contributionsMagical Uxmal and MucuycheWe loved getting to see Uxmal. It is absolutely magical and it helps so much to have a guide to explain the details and symbolism of the Mayan carvings. Blanca made the ride to Uxmal fun with stories and explanations of Mayan history. Juan, our driver, made us feel very safe. I would put Uxmal at the top of my list for favorite places to visit while in Merida. It is amazing! After leaving Uxmal we traveled to the cenote at Mucuyche. Wow! This is a gorgeous cenote and hacienda. Definitely would recommend seeing both Uxmal and Mucuyche!Written 4 August 2024

We have been talking about taking this tour for a couple of years. Our schedule finally aligned with the best time of year to see these gorgeous flamingos, so we immediately booked with Travelezza for our private tour!
Our tour guide, Senora Blanca and our driver Israel were phenomenal. Senora Blanca provided us with a rich history of the Yucatan. We learned so much about the beautiful state. And although it was a couple of hours from our hotel to the city of Celestun to see the flamingos, time just flew. And Israel made sure our journey to and from was safe.
This is a 7-hour tour where you will experience the breathtaking sights and sounds of flamingos and other wildlife. We also went through the beautiful mangrove tunnel…a must see. After you slightly recover from the “shock and awe” of the flamingos and other wild life, you can lunch at the fun and relaxing La Palapa Restaurant and Snack Bar. We had a fabulous meal as we continued to talk about our experience with seeing thousands of flamingos. All we can say is that this excursion is something you need to add to your bucket list. It is an incredible experience you will always remember.
I encourage you to check out their website for vital details, location pickup, pricing, best time of year to maximize your experience, dress code and any other valuable information. Lunch not included in the price. Tips always welcome.

This was an amazing tour. The lake was covered in flamingos - apparently there over 15,000 flamingos chattering away. It was truly spectacular. We also went through the mangroves and saw some crocodiles, cormorants, a spoonbill, herons and kingfishers! The lunch on Celestun beach was superb - great food and view. Blanca our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a great historical overview of Mayan culture. Israel our driver was fantastic too. Thanks very much for a wonderful day.

Gabriel was really knowledgeable about the town Merida as he was picking us up, and gave zoological information on our flamingo tour as well. From pick up to the boat tour to the beach, there were zero hiccups and it ran very smoothly. Definitely, a top tier guide.

We had a beautiful day at the Celestun natural reserve. The private boat ride through the mangroves was peaceful and enjoyable. We watched an abundance of different types of birds, including tiger herons. Even though it isn't currently the season for flamingos at Celestun, we were able to see several and enjoyed their low flights. The beach was beautiful and warm, and the local food at the restaurant was delicious. We highly recommend Travelezza!

A really good day out from Merida. The organisation was perfect. Gabriel, our guide, was punctual, friendly and very knowlegeable. The car was very nice, clean and comfortable.
The boat trip was excellent and we saw many species of birds as well as the flamingos. Beware of the racoons around the booking office - they have obviously learnt that human beings bring food! They have sharp claws - the scratches on my leg attest to that!
After the boat ride, we went to the beach in Celestun and Gabriel took us for a ride around the town and the harbour. It was a lovely beach but much too hot for us at midday. Lovely to see the places though.
Thank you to Gabriel and Travelezza for a memorable day.

First off communication from Lusia was top notch. We did 2 tours with them. One to Celestun and the other to Uxmal, Kabáh and the Chocolate Factory. Alphonso was great as our guide well as our drivers Raul and Jorge. Lunch spots were good too. Celestún boat ride to see the flamingos was relaxing and informative. We also saw many different kinds of birds along with a crocodile. The Mayan ruins was very educational.Would highly recommend Travelezza.

From start to finish, this tour was spectacular! In addition to marveling at the landscape and the flamingos, the clear and timely communication with Luisa from the moment of booking, the impeccable coordination of transportation and schedules, and the knowledge and enthusiasm of the guide came together to make us live a very pleasant experience. I recommend it 100%

Our tour guide, Gabriel Perez picked us up at 9:00 & took us to the Celestun Lagoon. He rented a boat on the Estuary & we were on our way to see the Flamingos. Gabriel & the boat guide knew so much about birds. I was thrilled. We also saw, several Blue Heron’s, Two Tiger Heron, several Wood Storks and an Ibis.
For lunch we ate great food at a local restaurant on the corner beach.
Outstanding tour! Highly recommend it!

Wonderful day with driver, Rauol, and tour guide Blanca at the Celestun biosphere where we saw so many flamingos and other birds and animals in the mangroves followed by a nice lunch on a lovely beach. The tour operators were very professional and assisted us in Providing a tour for us on another day when a different company canceled on us unexpectedly.
