We had an awesome time on our tour! It was great to have a personal guide who would go at our pace as a multigenerational family group. He shared interesting history along the tour and funny jokes on the car ride. We had a choice of what we wanted to see and how long we wanted to stay, and we could slow things down when some of our party needed to. It was so helpful to have our ride just waiting when we were ready to move on to the next sites - and we went places I couldn’t find on any other tour package! Thank you, Nefi, for a wonderful experience!

This was a great private trip experience. The ride was relaxing and comfortable. We beat the crowds in the morning to chichen itza. Gabrielle our guide was very knowledgeable about the Mayan history and walked us around the site. The cenote was really nice too! We were back at our hotel with day to spare. Overall much better experience than I can imagine on one of the huge tour busses all day.

Brilliant experience. Picked us up from the hotel on time at 6am and from start to finish couldnt have asked for more. The drive there included a stop for takeout coffee/breakfast, Valladolid, and we arrived well before the main crowds. Something that wouldnt have happened with standard tours. Enriziki (Sorry I wont have spelt this right) was hugely knowledgeable and spent time advising on history with passion and energy. We also had free time to wander round as much as we wanted. The trip to the cenote after was great and then on the drive home my husband got a local beer with chilli in which was a great last minute touch. We chose this tour because I having come all this way from the UK we wanted something memorable. I didnt want to get a big coach tour and spend half my time doing pick ups or find myself only having an hour at chichen itza and no flexibility. Yes a private tour is slightly more expensive but chances are you're only going to do this once so in our book was so worth it.

We had Nefi as our tour guide. He was right on time to pick us up. We are a group of 5 people with a toddler and a kid under 10. He was wonderful in speaking to them and was very patient and answered them to every question they had. He explained us well and gave precise information about chichen itza. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for tour.

We could design our own tour and select the places that we wanted to in our wished timeframe. It was very convinient and our driver Jonathan was very helpful and kind. We strongly recommend this company for people who want to design their tour.

We had the best day ever with Gabriel! We went to Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, tequila tasting, and a cenote. It was a long, beautiful tour with the most knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging guide, Gabriel. I can't recommend him enough. Make Your Own Tour is exactly that - we were able to choose where to go and Gabriel did a great job of timing everything perfectly so that we beat the crowds and the heat. Definitely worth the extra money to spend your time learning and exploring on a private tour instead of spending hours picking people up from several hotels in traffic, which I experienced on my last trip (and won't ever do again!).

We chose to do this 6:30 pick-up private tour. Gabriel was our guide and picked us up in a good air conditioned vehicle. We arrived at Tulum shortly before 8 and there were only ten or so other visitors at that time. We had a great tour with good historical information. Bonus, photos with no one else in them. We were back to our resort by 11:00 (Puerto Morelos area). As we were leaving Tulum there were masses of people arriving in huge tour groups. This is definitely the way to go if you want to avoid crowds. It is hot, wear cool clothing, sun hat and good walking shoes. They no longer allow plastic bottled water. We knew this ahead of time and filled our reusable bottle so we had water while on the grounds, you will want water.

Really nice service and great conversation with Nefi. He was perfectly on time and very accommodating. The schedule he had planned for us helped us avoid all the crowds (and heat) in both Chichen Itza and the Cenote. He was knowledgeable and the explanations he provided during the visit were very clear and interesting.

We had a wonderful tour from Rafa and Danny. The price differential between the private tour of Tulum and non-private was well worth it. The transportation was comfortable and there were snacks and drinks for us. Very educational and knowledgeable staff - everyone was impressed.

Every time I use M.Y.O.T. I have always had a great experience wether its a private tour through them or just transportation form point to point. This time we needed transportation from the Telum area(Maroma Resort) to Chiquila, to catch the ferry to stay a week on Holbox Island, Mx. And then from Chiquila to Cancun Airport. Nefi confirmed every thing by email and payment was easy. This family run business is always on time ,proffessional , and speak english well. The vehicals are clean and well kept. We have tryed others like Lomas through resort bookings but Ive found M.Y.O.T. has that personal touch .

This tour was a family highlight of our trip to Cancun! It was a long day, but it was great to have the private van for our group. Our guide was very friendly and was able to share so much good information about the historical site, as well as the area. His tour of the pyramid area was excellent, and he got us there before the large crowds arrived by buses later in the morning. We also went swimming in a cenote and enjoyed a nice lunch after. My teenage kids really loved it.

Gabriel was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and provided lots of valuable information on the tour. He was also very courteous during our transport to and from Chichén Itza. I will book him again next time I go!
