About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- kathleenlO6775GR0 contributionsExcellent value full day tourThis tour was wonderful! Besides Teotihuacan being an amazing experience, the trip included a tour of a local artisan group that makes obsidian pieces and silver jewelry, plus tequila and mezcal with agave plants grown on site. We got to taste several agave based drinks that are produced throughout the harvest and fermentation process. They had a huge shop that I bought several beautiful pieces of high quality silver jewelry at. We paid for the included lunch which was delicious. Our tour guide and driver were both lovely and very knowledgeable. Exceptional value for your money, highly recommend!Written 24 November 2024
- Xof A0 contributionsSome good things, some bad...The good things, the driver was really nice always behind us to make sure we were not lost. Taxco city is very beautiful and it is totally worth it to walk along it's narrow streets. The bad, we took this trip because we did not want to visit the silver mine. However, we made 3 stops to silver shops on our way. Don't buy there, it is overpriced. Don't hesitate to say No. The guide did not go in the church with us, but we found a local guide at the entrance that gave us a quick explanation (old guy with a green purse).Written 20 October 2024
- hoseidon0 contributionsSmall groupSmall group so the tour guide Martha took good care of each one of us. Food is included for my package and the restaurant is out of my expectation. Overall a nice experience. Also appreciating a pick up point at Roma North.Written 1 October 2024
- 170margreetv0 contributionsDaytour to the pyramids all-inclusiveThis trip is great! Very well organised by Viewmextours. Carlos was the guide: he knows so much!!! He talks the whole time in English and Spanish, must be very tiring for him, but he is full of energy until the en of the tour. Big compliment for Carlis. The driver, Alberto, did a good job too, also compliments for him! The pick-up at my hotel was punctual. It is a long day, pick-up at 8.50 am and drop-off at 6.10 pm. Pick-up and drop-off are included. Lunch was also included (except drinks) and it was very good, nice atmosphere, rooftop terrace, Mexican music. Very good Mexican food, option of different menus. The time spent at the highlights was enough. The pyramids are amazong, especially the pyramid of the moon. Carlos was very clear in his instructions: when we were given free time at the different highlights: pick-p at that time and at that spot: no problem, every one was there. This tour is very good value for money and I woukd recommend it to everyone who wants to see the pyramids in one day, everything included.Written 22 September 2024

Includes a pit- stop at artisan /craft village with a decent buffet lunch /mezcal tasting and time to shop if you want . Tour covers 3 main sites - Tlatelolco (city centre) , Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe, & Pyramids at Teotihuacán - and was very good value for the price .Written 29 March 2024

- luciesL2465IJ0 contributionsVery pleasant tripA big thanks to our guide Rosa Maria and our driver Eli. We were a smaller group which made everything more enjoyable even though the weather wasn't the best that day. Rosa Maria is a great tour guide, educated and entertaining, she explained everything in Spanish and English. The van was clean and comfy and the lunch was in a perfect time to get some rest. Definitely recommend it.Written 6 November 2023
- 412oliviac0 contributionsFull day tourWe went oct 30, 2023. Our driver was Israel and tour guide was Antonio. We were in a mixed group of English and Spanish speakers and Antonio did a good job explaining everything in both Spanish and English. He provided so much knowledge about the areas. We went to the basilica Guadalupe, went for lunch which we opted to have the buffet included, met with a local guide who showed us obsidian and gave us some samples of tequila, then spent a few hours at Teotihuacán. Antonio was very friendly and always looking after us to make sure we weren’t lost and were enjoying ourselves. He always set a meeting point prior to each location in case we got separated from the group which I thought was excellent. I would recommend this day tripWritten 2 November 2023

Rosa (guide) and Eli (driver) were great. Prompt, punctual, kept the tour moving, and gave us clear instructions as well as what to expect throughout the day. We traveled with kids age 7 & 9. For those with kids, I recommend bringing plenty of water and snacks (you can leave stuff in the van at the stops). There are opportunities for purchasing food and lots of restroom opportunities but do take the opportunities when you get them. It’s a long day, 8:15am to 5pm but worth it because a lot of sights are packed in and the guides make everything so easy for you.

The tour was great! Carlos is a great tour guide, always wanting to help, making jokes, makes an effort to explain everything in detail (in english and spanish). We had a taste of traditional beverages such as Pulque, Xoconostle licor, tequila, had lunch at a great restaurant (great food), had an amazing experience in Teotihuacan Pyramids. During the visit at the pyramids we had enough time to walk, learn about history, take photos, buy things (if you like). It was a very pleasant tour. At the Basilica of Guadalupe, we had a great explanation and a great visit. I would recommend this tour because you get to learn and absorb a new culture, without having to see everything in a hurry.

The tour began with a scenic drive from Mexico City to the archaeological site, offering glimpses of the surrounding countryside and setting the stage for the adventure ahead. Upon arrival, our great guide lead us through the sprawling complex, sharing captivating insights into the city's rise and fall, its mysterious inhabitants, and its enduring legacy.
The highlight of the tour is undoubtedly the opportunity to ascend the majestic pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, where breathtaking views await atop their towering summits. As you climb the ancient stone steps, you can't help but marvel at the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the ancient Teotihuacanos, who constructed these monumental structures without the aid of modern technology.
After the pyramids we headed to the Basilica Guadalupe, the tour began at the main entrance of the Basilica complex, where we were greeted by the iconic image of Our Lady of Guadalupe emblazoned on the facade. Stepping inside, we were enveloped by the tranquil atmosphere of the Basilica, adorned with vibrant murals, intricate mosaics, and flickering candles that evoke a sense of reverence and devotion.
The centerpiece of the Basilica is the revered Tilma of Juan Diego, believed to be the miraculous cloak upon which the image of the Virgin Mary miraculously appeared in 1531. Guided by knowledgeable docents, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the history and significance of the Guadalupe apparition, as well as the enduring devotion it has inspired among believers for centuries.

The tour was punctual. It left the starting point at time. However, there are four things that could be improved:
1. We spent a lot of time in a place where we could buy artesanías. Even though all the people in the tour was ready, we had to wait for the guide and driver at least 15/20 minutes. This time could have been spent at the pyramids or the basilica.
2. I felt we didn’t have at the pyramids. We only spent 1hour and 40 minutes. The guide left us some 20 minutes of free time but it wasn’t enough to visit the sun pyramid. The guide was not clear with the explanation on how to get to the pyramid and back to the parking lot. We had run back to parking lot, we got there at the time the guide told us and the guide was not there. We had to wait another 20 minutes to continue with the tour to the Basilica. This time could have been spent at the pyramids or the basilica.
3. The advertising of the tour was misleading by saying we could experience a traditional food. However, it did not include lunch. I realized this when I received the receipt and confirmation email. The price was higher than other tours I checked that did include lunch so I thought it included it. I should have double checked.
4. Overall the presentation and explanations seemed very improvised. The guide sometimes spoke in English other in Spanish. There were people who did not speak both languages. I personally did not like the driver and tour guide’s attitude at the beginning when I asked questions about the tour. I felt they were condescending and defensive when I was just asking one question. During the tour and At the end, the tour guide was very nice and polite.
I read very good reviews about the other guide and I booked because of the rating. However, the tour did not meet my expectations.

This tour was one of the highlights of my Mexico City trip. Got to see Teotihuacan, Basilica Guadalupe, some ancient ruins near the university, and an agave/obsidian mine/shop. I think coordination prior to the tour could have been better, however. No one reached out to me regarding pickup location prior to the tour, so I followed the instructions on the ticket to meet at the Starbucks at 8:35. I arrived early at 8:25 and everyone was already on the bus and seemingly waiting for me, so I'm not sure if everyone else received different instructions. The bus left early at 8:30. I tried emailing the company twice prior to the tour to confirm pickup location and no one responded. However, the rest of the tour was good. I really enjoyed the Basilica de Guadalupe and Teotihuacan. Make sure you bring extra water for Teotihuacan (end of the day) because they don't sell it there for some reason. We spent a LOT of time at the silver shop and lunch, and I was a little disappointed that we didn't have more time for Teotihuacan, the highlight of the trip. There wasn't really enough time to go to the Quetzalcoatl temple, 2 km away. Also, it was difficult to understand the guide's English, although he attempted to translate everything. Luckily I understand a little bit of Spanish. Overall, a good tour though.

The whole day from start to finish was a fantastic experience - would recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City. Carlos and Rodolfo were brilliant. I’d like to shout out Carlos for being such a friendly and enthusiastic guide. The pick up was very easy and close to our hostel, the obsidian workshop and lunch overlooking the piramides was an unexpected bonus! Carlos has great English and was really happy to answer all our questions. Thanks very much!

The pyramids were nice, the tour guide was horrible. Our guide was an older lady named Teresa and she had the worst attitude. She made the explanations way too long so at some point one lady walked away and my daughter started looking at her phone. So two people were not paying attention out of a group of 12. Well she started complaining that everyone needed to pay attention or she would rather call for another guide. I calmly said to her "Ma'am don't worry about it the rest of us are listening" I said this in spanish, to which she replied "don't call me Señora that's what you call the cleaning ladies". Then she says "clearly you weren't paying attention when I said my name is Teresa. It just went downhill from there. No one in the group was happy.
So once we finally made it to the pyramids (after several other stops) we separated from the group ( which she wasn't happy about and yelled at me from afar) and we returned in an Uber. The ride wasn't that great either. It was a crammed 12 person van. I thought it was going to be one of those big tour busses which I did see from another company when we arrived.

Rosa Maria and Jesus were punctual, friendly and very informative. The shuttle van was comfortable and my partner and I enjoyed the small group.
Rosa was an excellent tour guide, offering her great knowledge of the historical sites and culture, in addition to well timed humour. Our group enjoyed the pulque and tequila tastings and we felt we had enough time to view the pyramids and walk around, we would recommend Rosa and Jesus for this trip.

Jorge (driver) and Hector (tour guide) provided an amazing experience! Hector was extremely knowledge, teaching about culture, history, and random fun facts and tips relevant to touring CDMX. I really liked how he gave us so much context to the sites we saw and then gave us alone time to experience the places for ourselves. His friendly and open attitude made the tour really fun and engaging. Jorge is a skilled and safe driver, and he made sure to watch over our belongings when we were away from the van.
