The Colors of Mexico Private Walking Tour: Zocalo, National Palace and Art
US$ 75.00
Overview
Art and culture lovers can experience the sights, colors, and tastes of Mexico City’s Centro Historico on this private full-day walking tour. Home to more than 700 years of rich history, the UNESCO World Heritage Site lends itself well to walking: tick off top attractions such as the Murales de Diego Riviera and visit Templo Mayor and the National Palace of Fine Arts.
What to Expect
Meet up with your guide and begin your walking tour of downtown Mexico City. Learn about art as well as Mexico’s love of food, culture, and color and see how ancient Mexican life and Spanish culture have shaped the modern-day city.

Visit landmarks such as the ruins of the ancient Templo Mayor, the Spanish-made Metropolitan Cathedral, and Mexico’s very fist synagogue. Your guide will also take you to local markets to experience everyday life in the city and sample the food and drink such as Pulque and Mezcal.

Discover Mexico City’s Muralist Art movement inside the National Palace of Fine Arts, a landmark in the city center, and see the first murals by artists like Diego Rivera. Explore this marble, Carrera era building containing a theater, concert hall, and several galleries of paintings and other works of art.

Great tour!

Daniela was a magnificent guide. It's a shame the other guys don't give tours in Spanish (looking at you, purple shirts). But Mexico a Pie delivered. AND we got little souvenirs at the end. It was informative and fun. ¡Gracias, Daniela!
