About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Isabella B0 contributionsDefinitely need to add to your bucket list!Wonderful experience with Amigo Tours ❤️ driver Jesús and tour guide Gerson were amazing 👏 🤩 We arrived early to our pickup spot at Miga Cafe near our airbnb and headed on the bus ride around 7 am. Bus is large and has comfortable seats 💺 I liked that the guide explained the journey on the road and made a pit stop at a gas station for bathroom break and snacks. Once we arrived, the weather was great 👌 a little cloudy but the sun shined a few hours later while walking. I appreciate the effort and knowledge Gerson demonstrates while explaining with detail about the history of the pyramids and allowing us to ask questions all while laughing at jokes along the tour. FYI please bring comfortable gym shoes, pants, longsleeve and short sleeve under bc the weather changes a lot. A hat of course and sunscreen are a must plus water for hydration. Overall, in my opinion pretty awesome tour for a good price. Restaurant after the tour is alright not the best food but if you're hungry 😋 would recommend this tourWritten 22 March 2025
- I7390OAgabrielap0 contributionsNos encantoGerson, and the driver Jesus were great Gerson was super knowledgeable and gave some facts that we were not expecting and Jesus was a super chill driver never did we feel in danger, overall a great experience and the lunch restaurant is amazing!Written 22 March 2025
- C7309QOcarolyns0 contributionsEarly morning at the pyramidsGerson is a knowledgeable, personable guide who is passionate about this topic. He’s funny and animated and high energy. Jesus is a very professional driver and we felt safe at all times. Together they are a great team!Written 22 March 2025
- bradbahr0 contributionsTop Museum in North America! What a great experience! I’ve been to several museums across the US, and from a historical and cultural perspective this one was on top.Written 22 March 2025
- rajasekhri0 contributionsTerrible waste of timeI have several complaints for this tour and its operator Amigo tours. The list is as under: 1. From pick up time of 6:20 am from MIGA cafe to drop back at Hostal Amiga at 14:20 pm which is 8 hours, the actual time spent in the archeological site was 90 minutes ; 30 minutes in Gate 1 and 60 in Gate 2. 2. It was a bilingual tour and the guide repeated everything in English and Spanish which wasted great deal of our time and made us disinterested in what the guide was speaking. 3. At 11 am the guide took the entire bus of the tourists to a nondescript restaurant for lunch. Imagine the lunch is not included in the packed and each had to pay for what is consumed by them. The prices were higher than any city restaurant. I had lunch appointment at Balcone del Zocalo so I just had juice. 4. It is obvious that this restaurant pays hefty commission to Amigo Tours due to which they force tourists to have lunch at 11 am at high prices. 5. During the 90 minutes the guide Mr David was giving bilingual talks on the history and wasted lot of time. I think we got barely 30/40 minutes to look at thesefamous ancient temples and the pyramids. Please avoid taking this tour. Avoid bilingual tours and avoid tours with self paid lunch. It is a rip off.Written 22 March 2025
- Aaron D0 contributionsCastle tour.We picked up a local tour guide right there at the entrance to the castle. He was very informative. The views from the castle are amazing and the history of the castle was very interesting. Just a heads up, if you are not a walker then this might not be the tour for you. I’m not sure if they allow handicap vehicles beyond the entrance at the bottom of the hill, but if they don’t you’ll have a 1/3 mile (1/2 km) hike ahead of you just to the entrance of the castle. Then you have the first floor and second floor to visit. It wasn’t a steep hill to climb but it is long and you also have the altitude to deal with. Also, they don’t allow water bottles, gum or snacks into the castle so if you have any of these, there are lockers at the bottom of the hill that you can leave these or your backpack in. Enjoy, it is a beautiful tour.Written 21 March 2025
- Safari8185800 contributionsGreat tour! 10/10 recommendAlexa was fantastic! I was very impressed for her not only speaking English exceptionally well but also being a fantastic story teller. 10/10 recommend this tour with Alexa.Written 21 March 2025
- Inspiration6868720 contributionsMoney well spent on our tripSo glad we did this, it was an amazing adventure and so much bang for your buck. I was debating between this tour and another that was a bit more costly but only included the Teotihaucan pyramids. This tour brought you to multiple places as well as a fine spot to eat after a long day. Gio, our tour guide was absolutely excellent, so much knowledge and you can tell she is so proud of her heritage. She gave well explanations and detailed information to all the historical spots. One recommendation that I wish I knew as we got to the archeological site that may help others in the future; there are many little souvenir vendors when first entering the park, don't spend too much time there as there are just as many if not more on the way out to the exit of the park. Other than that, HIGHLY recommend this tour and would recommend you request Gio.Written 21 March 2025
- Tara G0 contributionsTeens and tweens had a great timeMy husband, 15 yo, 12 yo, and 9 yo all took this tour. We learned so much and had such a great time. My two young kiddos did find the first stretch a little tiring, but we had a snack break and they perked right up. Antonio was our guide and he was invested in our learning and enjoyment. Afterwards we hung out in the park and even went to the zoo to see our first giant panda. Antonio gave great recommendations in addition to the tour. I am so glad to know more about Mexican history and people.Written 21 March 2025
- ktp20 contributionsGotta see this place! Our guide Alex was great, friendly and very knowledgable. Highly recommend him. He did a great job of narrating the bus (52 pax comfortable clean) ride out. The site is amazing, but if you are a real archeology student you will want more time than this tour allows. Lunch was excellent, but a bit pricy ( not included).Written 20 March 2025
- LouCash960 contributionsAn excellent tour to provide background to the history and culture of Mexico CityAlicia did an excellent job leading our tour! She was professional, intelligent and very fun! She led us through all the stops along the way providing valuable and interesting insight that added value to each stop. I'm not much of a religious person but the stop at the Guadalupe shrine was interesting considering it is such a large pilgrimage site. The tlatelolco and Teotihuacan were both awesome. We had ample time to explore by ourselves and weren't waiting around for the bus to head to the next stop. You can tell Alicia has led this wonderful tour many times, and it shows. She's is very engaging with the group and does a great job getting audience participation to make experiencing these different spots better. Highly recommend this tour to everyone. It'll be a long day (8:30ish-5:30ish) but it'll be very worth it!Written 20 March 2025
- dongz5650 contributionsGreat experience!Really love the tour guide Yair and Andre. He is very professional and educational. He introduce a lot of Mexico City history and the UNAM university architecture and history. Love the experience. If There are more spots for Frida museum, it will be greater!Written 20 March 2025
- 202leifg0 contributionsTrapped at tourist traps. You get what you paid for.The tour takes the full day because they quite literally trap you at tourist traps. The tequila tasting is at some standalone gift shop that they make you stay out for about an hour. For lunch they take you to the equivalent of a rainforest cafe that’s clearly designed for tourists with very high prices and low quality. There’s obviously some sort of commission-based arrangement with the traps and the company. 2 stars instead of 1 because it was cheap, but now I know why.Written 20 March 2025
- S885UYkimberlye0 contributionsYou must go!Antonio, our guide made the entire tour, not only engaging and extremely informative, but also fun. I highly recommend this tour.Written 20 March 2025
- MotleyAccrue0 contributionsWonderful tour of fascinating cultural and historical sitesOur guides, Roberto and Alicia, were knowledgeable and passionate about sharing Mexico’s rich history and culture. Teotihuacán’s pyramids were rich with history, as was Tlatelolco and the insights they provided about the sites made the experience that much more interesting and insightful. The stop at the Basílica de Santa María de Guadalupe also was steeped in spiritual and historical significance. A great tour!Written 19 March 2025

Hola Carolina.
Agradecemos tus comentarios.

Our flight arrive at 7:15pm. I’m thinking about booking the 8pm transfer. While I’m quite sure this will give us enough time to leave the airport, will the driver wait for us in case we’re running late?
