        Great Overview of PV
We really enjoyed this tour. Worth the $30, for sure. Daniel is a great guide and Arturo is an excellent driver. The information was interesting. Lots of bathroom opportunities. We enjoyed the shops and never felt pressured to buy. However, we did buy something at every stop because we love this culture and value their artistry and hard work. Stops included Malecon, Guadalupe Church, city hall, silver shop, leather shop, candy shop (lots of free samples), tequila tasting (too many free samples!), animal reserve (where lunch is), and Los Arcos photo op. My fave part was animal reserve, duh! We held toucan, 2 types of monkeys, and boa constrictor. They were prepping / training some beautiful birds and lemur looking guys for people, so that might be in the future. Lunch is expensive (for Mexico) but delicious options and huge portions. We shared the cheese quesadilla and the chicken fajitas; it was plenty for 2. We got a box for leftovers. About $40 total. More than anything, the tour gave us the confidence to want to explore more on our own. PV is very safe. And we learned a lot about the city’s history. PS: bring tip money for the street artists. They’re working hard to entertain.

        Very informative
We just returned from one of the most enjoyable days. We have been coming to PV for many years - 3-4 times a year for 4-6 weeks. Consequently, we have gone on several outings, but this was by far the best. Miguel obviously loves this city. We started by learning the basic history of PV followed by a tour of the marina area. The shops that he took us to in the downtown area were high quality, local shops run by generations of the same family. Nothing like watching a craftsman make sandals like they made for years. The blown glass artist was fascinating. The candy store of course was wonderful. The fire opal jewelry store was not just a jewelry store, but again, we got to talk to the craftsmen. The tequila factory was very good. Lunch was delicious - nothing fancy, but a true traditional meal made and served by the heart. Everything on the plate was fresh, fresh, fresh. I will recommend this tour to everyone I meet. David was our wonderful driver.

        Awesome tour!!
Miguel was our amazing tour guide! Miguel and Gustazo (the excellent driver!) met us at the Weston Hotel at 8:30am. We spent the entire day being show all the wonderful sights around Puerto Vallarta! Miguel was full so great knowledge and insights of this beautiful city!! From the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe church, handmade silver, excellently crafted leather goods, amazing lunch along a free flowing mountain stream, to finishing in the afternoon at the yummy Tequila factory!! What an awesome day and it was FREE!!!

GREAT FREE TOUR OF CULTURE , HISTORY AND IMPORTANT SIGHTS
Alejanara gave us a great tour of Puerto Vallarta including the famous old church, the Malecon, and , beautiful photograph opportunities We.also saw the folkloric dancers and musicians perform and she interpreted the whimsical statues and the Puerto Vallarta sign as we took our interesting walk. She loves her city and knows her history. We traveled in a new Mercedes minivan with a courteous safe driver. He was helpful to safely get us out of the van on busy streets. and help us easily navigate off the steps. We enjoyed stopping at an opal store to learn how opal is mined and how to tell difference between real opal and factory made opal. We also enjoyed visit to glass factory and pottery store where we saw artisans at work. I bought a beautiful vase and wrapped it carefully for me so it would not break in my carry on luggage. We also had a chance to taste tequila and learn how it is processed and enjoyed lunch near river in countryside on a beautiful patio overlooking scenery(we paid for our lunch). We also finished our time at a chocolate store and learn how chocolate is produced from the bean in various stages that we tasted. We also enjoyed delicious coffee and bought some candy to go with our beverage. The concierge at the Westin organized this outstanding outing for us.

Great way to know the city
CityFunTastic took us for a ride to Puerto Vallarta, we visited most interesting sites and got penty of information about the city and its arounds. We learn about a lot of mexican stuff, including chocolate, tequila, silver, mexican candy and leather carving by the tru artisans. A great way to discover why Puerto Vallarta is a succesfull tourist destination, but also we had the opportunity to go a little bit out, into the jungle. An experience totally worth it!! I loved the free pick up and drop off to my hotel.

        Excellent tour
We went on this tour and really enjoyed. It was a free tour and was very informative. We went to to the Malecon and learned about the different artwork that was along the boardwalk. We went to the Church of Guadeloupe which was beautiful! We saw them making both tiles and blowing glass. We had lunch in a quaint little restaurant and tasted different kinds of tequila. Our tour guide was so informative and you could tell he enjoyed his job and teaching people about his city.

Free city tour. Worth every penny. Life is short. Don’t waste your limited time on earth by joining his tour. Stops at a few shops that obviously pay to be included. Lunch is at a secluded spot so you don’t have a choice. Distillery is not a distillery - just a location that offers samples and highly overpriced tequila.

This tour was good but not great. Our guide Daniel showed us the sites and gave good information about PV and about Mexico. However he spoke almost nonstop including ALOT of personal thoughts on politics, etc. Stuff that had nothing to do with the tour, with the sites, city history etc. The tour basically routed you into certain shops,( candies jewelers leather goods). Made me wonder if the shops paid to have hundreds of customers delivered to their business each week. Not a lot of time to browse other shops. The van was very nice and once we left the city and headed to the canopy spot for lunch I thought it got better. The tequila tasting was good though purchasing bottles was quite expensive. The tequila was good so maybe the prices were worth it. All in all, the tour was fine but I could not recommend it due to the herding us into “chosen” shops and the long diatribes that were not related at all to the tour.

Thank you so much for your opinion! During our tour, we strive to promote the beauty of the different areas of Puerto Vallarta so that our travelers can locate them and choose their favorites to get to know in more time and detail, and of course, we lovingly promote our culture, traditions, and style of life. life and vacations. The experience of learning about the enormous variety of precious and semi-precious stones from the different regions of our country, the art of leatherwork that reflects our distinctive Mexican colors and elements, and of course, the aromas that we perceive when we arrive at the candy store and Seeing a sweet chef preparing those delicious products that fill the entire street with their aroma is part of what we want to make your trip to Puerto Vallarta memorable. Each visit to each area or place we go to during our tour has been designed so that our travelers feel that their choice to come to our destination has been the best and they are left wanting more, which we have achieved by making thousands fall in love with us, of travelers who have become frequent travelers to our destination. We are sorry that your perception was different. We will emphasize in our talks with our travelers that our tour aims to make them fall in love with this fantastic Puerto Vallarta and demonstrate that we feel happy and proud to be Mexicans, beyond any issue that could generate controversy or division. Vallarta is fantastic, be sure to give this beautiful destination a chance.

We took the city Funtastic tour, which is a long tour but for the price well worth it. It helps you feel more comfortable with going back into the city and helps you see places you might not normally see. Our guide was Miguel, who had an amazing voice. He made the trip fun and enjoyable. I ended up buying something everywhere we went and even went back during the week to buy more things. We also ate at this really good place in the jungle. The drinks were delicious and huge for the price. For some reason this tour doesn't take you to a square that has really beautiful benches decorated with colored glass and mirrors. We found it during the week when we went for a walk in the romantic section of Puerto Vallarta.

Although I have been on similar tours several times in PVR, this one stood out since it included places I had not previously visited such as a chocolate factory and a leather store. Nary a Diamonds International was part of the tour. Once at the tequila factory, our presenter offered copious amounts of tequila. Several people on the tour got a bit tipsy (and funny). The meal at the tequila factory was VERY pricey, but it was tasty. For example, a bowl or guacamole was $20 USD! We had better food with much better views (overlooking the bay) for much less.

Overall, we liked this tour better than some we had previously taken. Our driver and guide were great!

I would recommend this to others. If you don't mind packing a meal, skip the meal and save some money. I am not sure, but maybe you can spend the hour drinking more tequila. LOL.

I had a wonderful time on the city funtastic tour of Puerto Vallarta in Feb 2024. The cost was only $30 USD for an all-day tour, including transportation. I was picked up from and dropped off at my resort, Garza Blanca. Resort staff scheduled the tour for me and I paid through them too. Daniel, our tour guide, was entertaining, informative, helpful and kind. The van was very comfortable.

We visited the town of Puerto Vallarta. Daniel recommended restaurants and other things to come back and do on our own. We visited local stores for demonstrations and shopping.

      Candy store
      Gold and silver jewelry making
      Leather products being made
Tequila making process presentation and samples
Animal sanctuary and meal overlooking a river (We paid for our own meal, which was not included as part of the trip. Food was great, and the prices were very reasonable.)

There was limited time for shopping at other places not part of the tour. I would’ve liked time to shop at the flea market, and spend less time at some of the planned stops. But I got a great feel for the town and what we could do when we return on our own. That goal was more than accomplished. What a fun day!

This is a pretty solid tour overall. They pick you up in a very comfortable Mercedes Sprinter Van at your hotel…..this is a plus as other tours don’t always do this. You don’t spend a ton of time in any one place, which is both good and bad, You do stop at the obligatory silver and leather store so be prepared for people to try and sell you something. The tour ends with some tequila tasting and lunch (not included) at a very cool spot up in the mountains. Our tour guide, Gloria, was awesome!

Thank you so much for your opinion. We like that expert travelers such as yourself recognize our effort to provide the best of us. We really would like to do so many more things, but the hours of the day go by, and we don't have enough time. The stores we visited are artisan workshops that show our cultural wealth and many travelers like to take advantage and buy souvenirs, but no one has to buy anything, of course. Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. Greetings!

A beautiful tour of the city, with Daniel (tour in English) with lots of very interesting information.
Visit to jewelry, leather, candy and tequila distillery shops, to see the manufacturing process, this point is interesting, on the other hand we feel pressure to make purchases, less interesting. Otherwise, it's a very nice visit, a dinner in the mountains (not included), we see the city and a little of the suburbs (the mountains). This gives a general idea and allows us to come back and discover the points that interest us more!

We booked this tour through our hotel. I thought it might be very touristy but the guide was funny and took us to a lot of different places. Besides the sightseeing, we visited a candy shop, a jewelry shop and a leather shop. Most of the sightseeing we did on foot when we got to each destination, so we weren't stuck in the van for hours.

Since I travel frequently to Puerto Vallarta, I like to find out about new things that are happening. From the moment you get on the unit, you are greeted with explanatory videos, which I have not seen on any other tour, so it was clear to me what we were going to do, and what the rules were. Lots of quality. I really liked that on this tour they gave me information about the areas beyond the center, so I could go to some restaurants to eat or learn about some activities that I shouldn't miss. I liked it a lot because my guide could tell that she really loves Puerto Vallarta and wants those of us who go on the tour to share the emotion she feels. Incredible that after having traveled to Puerto Vallarta so many times, I have discovered new things. Each stop we made has a reason for being, and when they explained it to me, I understood why it is part of the tour. 100% recommendable!

Initially it was good but then they started taking us to shops to buy souvenirs. The last place we spent much time was the jewelry mfg/store...almost high-pressure sales tactics...but we weren't buying anyway.

The driver and operator were great and we enjoyed their attention.

Hello! Thank you very much for your valuable comments. We continuously work on the design and improvement of our tourism product to offer 100% satisfaction, and we achieve this by paying close attention to the comments of our passengers. It is important to take into account that many tourists want to learn about local traditions, and many also want to have the opportunity to shop for souvenirs. During our tour, we visit the center of Puerto Vallarta, and it is there where we seek to proudly display traditional Mexican products. Jalisco is the land of the "fire opal" and Mexico is the first silver-producing country, which is why we find it interesting to visit an artisan silver and opal workshop, but never with the intention of exerting sales pressure from of the business. We will take your opinion into account and we will solve this confusion, since for us it is imperative to continue as the leading tour in our segment, and to remain the favorite tour for new and repeat tourists. Thank you very much for your comment, which undoubtedly helps us to realize that we must reinforce the part of the cultural value of these places that we are visiting.
