      Great experience with color
A lovely experience, very relaxing, fun and informative. I would be happy to continue with another class if I were here longer. Recommended.

      Art Is Easy!
I spent a lovely 2.5 hours with Georgia, the witty and patient instructor, and some local artists. This was an intro class on pottery given some spice with a free glass of prosecco. You can create your art to pick up a few days later from the kiln. The studio is conveniently located in Zona Romantica. Highly recommended!

      A tranquil oasis
Artl VallARTa is a wonderful art museum tucked away in the back part of the Zapata zone. When we visited it had 3 exhibits; downstairs were paintings by local artists of Puerto Vallarta; upstairs were more paintings, pottery/sculpture, and a weaving/imaging exhibit. The space was small but well laid out. There were few visitors, so we could wander and view as we wished. There was a large shaded terrace upstairs where we had a good time lounging, and tables and chairs in the courtyard where they have events. (They also run classes, but we were just there to visit the art.) This is a great way to enjoy PV far away from the noise and bustle of more touristy parts.

      A Quiet, Cathartic Surprise
This was an excellent experience. A nice and quiet break from the PV restaurants and markets, and surprisingly cathartic. Georgia, the instructor, is a gentle teacher, and the class itself was fun and chill. Well worth the time and money, plus you get your own badass pottery. Very cool.

      An experience you’ll treasure
We have been to PV many times and had tried most of the typical tours so wanted something different this time. The timing of their pottery class didn’t work well with our schedule but they were SO accommodating and made it work for us. Jorge was our instructor and she was such a sweet human being and showed us how to make ‘works of art’. The two hours passed by so quickly because it was such an enjoyable time. Before we left for home they had fired and finished our items with time to spare. I couldn’t recommend this more!!

      Unbelievable talent
Totally. Blown. Away. This gallery has some of the finest and most diverse talent I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to be there during Día de Los Muertos and can’t begin to tell you how wonderful this gallery is. If you get a chance don’t miss taking one (or more) of their classes. Such interesting Mexican history and culture expressed in art. I just can’t find the right words to express how dynamic and exciting this art venue is. Just go.

      Amazing Paper Mache Class!
I took several Paper Mache classes with Ernesto in September 2021, while visiting Puerto Vallarta. It was such an amazing experience! We made Katrinas, skeletons, beads, flowers and fruit. The instructor was so talented, and willing to share all his knowledge. I would definitely take more classes next time I’m in Puerto Vallarta. A must-do for anyone wanting to do something not so touristy!

      ¡Qué experiencia única!
What a magical (and wonderfully addicting) place! My love for Art VallARTa started as soon as I walked into Wine and Design night with Ernesto. We had such a lovely time chatting and painting together. After that, I tried out a handbuilding ceramics class with Georgia and was officially HOOKED. The history, the artists that work/live/teach there, the work that adorns every corner, Ernesto, Georgia, Alan, Jorge, Natalie, the students, the energy, the walk to/from (make sure you stop in to see Hector at the tequila shop hehe), the quaint little street it's nestled in... just absolute perfection. Art VallARTa was an unexpected part of my time in Puerto Vallarta and I am *SO* grateful for my experience there. Thank you for welcoming and teaching me, reigniting my creative spirit, and giving me memories that will for sure last a lifetime. MISS YOU GUYS ALREADY!!!!

      Wonderful Wine and Design
Ernesto was very interested in making sure we painted a subject in which we were highly interested. Together we chose alebrijes, folk art inspired animal figures. This was our first experience with painting in acrylic, and had little painting experience at all. With his calm and reassuring guidance we finished projects with which we were very pleased. We will certainly return to the studio for classes with Ernesto and other offerings.

      Superb experience
We are most grateful to have found ART VallARTa in general and Veronica Rangel in particular. Everyone at the studio is welcoming and encouraging. The positive vibes cannot be missed. We are new to painting, and watercolor possesses unique challenges. Veronica guides her students with poise, grace, patience, and tremendous knowledge, in English and Spanish. Although we are beginners we have learned a great deal in a short amount of time. All our future visit to the town will include time spent at ValllARTa. If you don't have time for a class you may want to enjoy the gallery. There are many interesting installations and you are certain to meet lovely people.

      AWESOME Expeience
Signed up for beginning ceramics class. Alan helped me book the class. Jorge came and found me when I got lost finding the place (I'm technologically challenged with no sense of direction) and Rob welcomed me to me first class with a huge smile. The studio has all Covid protocols in place, right down to Listerine in the water used to moisten the clay (kills germs on contact!). Rob was very patient, offered suggestions and guided me through my first project, making me feel like I actually could make something to be proud of. (vs the tray I made in elementary school that my mom had to pretend to like.) Besides hand molding clay, they have wheel throwing classes, glass molding, bead making, painting, mosaic classes. And 9 apartments above the studio available to rent. If I didn't already live in Vallarta, I'd be moving in!! Totally awesome day. Made my week

The ceramics instructor was incredibly rude
If you go forget the ceramics studio. The instructor so rude I couldn't believe it. He needs to be fired!

      Fantastic experience
We love to do something different on vacation and make it a priority to attend a cooking class wherever we vacation. We booked this cooking class before we traveled to PV based on the prior reviews and pics and knew we would not be disappointed. We had the best time with Ruben and Nathalie. We have a new appreciation for the local flavor of Puerto Vallarta. For a personal, fun experience we highly recommend.

Jose is very informative. I plan on taking the class again. He had fun activities to engage the class and used real life experiences as part of his instruction.
