It was great. Our guide was Roberto, he had a lot of knowledge about all of Sicily, about the history and biology of the island, he showed us a lot of great places and it was really funny and enjoyable. I would recommend this trip to everyone.

Danilo was an amazing guide and this trip was even better than we could have imagined!!! The hiking had incredible views and the wine and food tasting was spectacular!

He has tons of terrific factual knowledge of Etna and Sicily and even provided us with an awesome tip for us to be sure we got the most out of our 3 days in Sicily on our Honeymoon! Loved the Mount Etna and Georges tour from Messina port with Viator - however full disclosure the cable car/bus tour on Mount Etna is 78 Euros extra - not disclosed till we got there. Rest of tour was good, good seafood restaurant before the Georges - only 30 minutes at Georges before we had to get back to ship on time

Picked up by Dani - who made the effort to find us as the street our hotel was on was closed. It ended up being only me and my partner kn the tour - so I appreciated it going ahead! Dani was our private guide who drove to Mount Etna and accompanied us up the Volcano. Note that to go up to 3000m is extra (75 euros each). Dani was great as he knew a lot about the area and volcano and was happy to take pictures for us. We then visited the Enoteca Dell Etna winery which was fabulous - we had the most fabulous host (can’t remember her name!) but she did a fab job at introducing delicious wines and accompanying foods! Warning - you’re given 4 courses of amazing food! we were not expecting such generosity, so make sure you’re hungry! Overall was a great day and a must if you’re in Catania.

We wouldn’t normally book a guided tour but in researching Etna it was quite hard to work out the best options, getting there without a car and making the most of the visit. Communication was clear- Danilo picked us up exactly on time and lucky for us we were the only two that day. We didn’t book the cable car at the time but I would recommend you do as the queue was long to get a ticket once there. It also wasn’t clear that although lunch is not provided there were plenty of options to buy food once there. Danilo was an excellent guide, interesting and we did not feel rushed at all. I would highly recommend this trip.

Alex was an exceptional guide. His knowledge of the volcano really made the tour. We had a cloudy/rainy day but we’re still able to see a few craters and appreciate Mt Etna. The wine tasting was fantastic. We even ordered some wine to be shipped to the US!

We want to leave a review for our Godfather Tour today in which we we were guided by Danilo. It was such an interesting few hours with our very knowledgeable guide. We want to say how much we enjoyed it and found it so informative and intriguing. We are not aficionados of theGodfather movies but that didn't matter as we were introduced to some fascinating places and historical facts from our accommodating guide, Dan. He was such a friendly fellow who did not rush us or made us feel we were holding up his itinerary. Big thank you and it made our holiday complete.

Our full day Etna and Alcantara falls was fantastic! Mirko was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable of the volcano. He took us took to areas not on the typical tourist trail; caves, area of original road between two lava fields, pointed out particular vegetation, etc. The hike to the top of one of the craters was just “hard enough”. The second stop at Alcantara falls was perfect way to end the day. The Falls were beautiful, water was crystal clear and ice cold. Beware, it’s about 200 steps down into the gorge..and what goes down must come up😀

The full day tour of Mt. Etna and Alcantara Gorge was one of the highlights of our short stay in Catania. Both Roberto and Dani were very charismatic and helpful throughout the day. Both very down-to-earth people. We booked the tour very last minute, but Roberto was very quick to help organize everything; arranging the time and place of pick up, and equipment (spare hiking shoes). The tour was well thought out and balanced. We got to hike around Mt. Sartorious, one of the sites of Mt. Etna. Light exercise. Both Roberto and Dani were very well-versed and knowledgeable about the area. Alcantara Gorge was quite the scene as well. Breathtaking walls of lava like black prism draperies. The water was refreshing after an afternoon of exploring Mt. Etna under the sun. Overall, the tour was a lot of fun and relaxing too. We didn’t feel as if we were in a rush to see too many sites, but we still got to see a variety of landscapes and learn a lot about the incredible area. Thank you very much Roberto and Dani!

Great guide Roberto- even our teenagers told they loved the tour. First time ever :) Nice views and interesting stories/information abot volcanos. Trekking was not too challenging but still needed some effort.

The hike was pretty cool and Dan was a great guide A little disappointed about the price to go further up on the gondola Wine tasting was good - the food was better ! Well worth the time

Roberto was very punctual. He organised us well, knowing the best places to stop, and gave us all the information we need to get the most out of our visit. He found us an excellent and very reasonably priced restaurant for lunch, and was a pleasure to dine with. Roberto was entertains, informative and friendly. The perfect mix. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Wonderful tour and our guide, Janet, was fabulous! She was so knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning about Mt Etna and her history. The winery tour and tasting was the best we experied on our trip.
