Overview
Explore Nassau's culinary scene on this food and rum walking tour. Visit downtown businesses, including a chocolatier and a pirate-themed bar, with a local guide during this 2.5-hour shore excursion. Sample rum cocktails, conch fritters and a guava dessert with your small group of 10 people. Visit John Watling's Distillery for a rum-tasting and distillery tour to end your food-centric Nassau excursion. This tour is covered by Viator's worry-free shore excursion policy.
What to Expect
Disembark your cruise ship in Nassau and meet your local guide a few blocks from the cruise port, along with your small group of 10 people or less. Head out on foot to your first stop, Smuggler's Beer Garden, where you'll sample your first rum of the day.

Walk through downtown Nassau to visit three other local businesses, where you'll chat with the proprietors about their craft as you sample savory snacks, rum cocktails and rum-infused candies. Taste the local favorite snack, conch fritters, and a special Bahamian guava dessert.

Listen to your guide's entertaining stories about the island's rum-running history as you walk past historical buildings in town — all of which played a part in the bootlegging industry.

End up at John Watling's Distillery on Buena Vista Estate. Tour the distillery to learn about the rum-making process and the legend of 17th-century pirate John Watling himself.

Return to your starting point in plenty of time to catch your departing ship.

They did not ask for proof of age for my daughter. You can check with the tour company, I am sure. They answered my questions pretty quickly.
