Troy was the best captain we could have asked for, he made the trip so much better for us. All the stops we made were sick, the snorkeling was amazing and honestly couldnt have had a better trip. Definitely will recommend to friends and family!

We did the extended day BVI Charter. Captain Troy was our guy. Had a great time! We met at 8:00 and he got us right over to Customs in the BVI's. It rained at first, but he punched thru it and looked for sunny skies. We could say the clouds and rain and Troy tied to steer around them. It rains in the morning then stops. Wasn't a problem. Once we got thru customs, then he found us a pretty quiet beach area to swim. The kids liked jumping off the boat. Then we went over to the baths. Very neat spot. It's something I have always wanted to see. Troy got us as close as he could, then we swam over. He was very helpful with the kids...taking us noodles and watching as we swam to and from the boat. We then grabbed lunch on Scrub Island, then found a place to snorkel. Took us to the Willy T which was an experience to say the least. Got some drinks, the kids jumped off the top. Really neat floating bar. We wanted to grab a quick swim and family pict to end the day, so we went back to customs to get checked in, then he took us over to a spot just around the corner to swim for a few minutes before our charter ended. Lots of fun memories, and would use this group again. Gotta book em if you come to STJ!

This was a wonderful trip and Max curated an epic journey for all of us. The service and communication was spot on and we felt safe at all times. We were able to go to a number of spots which made for great memories and pictures. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using them again in the future.

Captain Max was great and provided us with an awesome day. Boat had plenty of room for our party of 8, and could definitely fit up to 12 as advertised. Captain made sure we got all the spots in we wanted to visit and planned accordingly with given sea conditions.

We had a great day with Captain Ryan G. He is a father and consequently was wonderful with our 5 and 7 year old daughters, they loved it. Also it was obvious that he was very experienced with maneuvering the boat around as needed. We hit all the good spots: Indians, Norman Island, Pirates Byte, Willy T, Thatch Island, Sandy Spit, and White Bay JVD. One of the highlights was a flock of flamingos at Thatch Island. Honestly no complaints whatsoever, and we would 100% book with Island Roots again! If you have young kids, request Ryan! What a great day!

A full day with Enzo at Island Roots was the highlight of our family vacation! We explored St John waters….had multiple stops for amazing snorkeling…and he was a delight to spend the day with! Our entire family of 5 are grateful for the day!

Wonderful extended day to BVIs with our college kids. Capt Ryan was the absolute best! I highly recommend requesting him as your boat Capt! We asked him to plan a day with the best of the best for our kiddos’ first time. He planned the perfect day! Soggy Dollar, Willy T’s and excellent some snorkeling spots. We even saw the sun setting on our way in that included a rainbow. It was all together wonderful. The kids said it was their favorite day of the trip!

We highly recommend Island Roots! Capt Ryan did an amazing job driving us around in the USVI and BVI. He is a highly experienced Captain and knows the area. Always focused on safety and sharing his knowledge of the local islands.

Jason took my wife and I around St. John for an awesome boat ride, showing us so many cool spots to snorkel that we would’ve never found if we didn’t book with Island Roots. He was kind and super knowledgeable, he consistently defogged our goggles and fixed some other issues I was having with my gear. Perfect way to finish up our honeymoon. We did both the BVI and USVI, it was absolutely beautiful. Very customizable, which will be so helpful for our next visit to islands. Captain Ryan was a trooper, he put up with my group for 2 days straight.

Enzo was also informative, sharing fascinating insights about the local history, wildlife, and culture, which added so much to the experience.
