About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 712armelleh0 contributionsGreat ExperienceMy family and I did the 4 stop eco tour. We loved it, and everyone had such a great time. The small group on the boat was perfect, and the staff was wonderful. They were all kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would definitely do another tour with them in the future!Written 30 December 2024
- scottmW9695FR0 contributionsAn unforgettable, once in a lifetime experienceJust an amazing experience on the 4 stop eco tour. George’s team was so nice - they clearly know what they’re doing and took incredible care of us. They gave us the full experience, including feeding stingrays, snorkeling the barrier reef, holding giant starfish, and seeing the mangrove forests up close. The absolutely highlight of our trip to Grand Cayman - if you’re visiting, you absolutely must not miss this opportunity!Written 30 December 2024
- jagcole0 contributionsGreat crew, great time!Fantastic experience with a wonderful crew led by Captain Thomas! The boat was brand new and well appointed with free beverages (be sure to bring your own snacks.) Unlike other boats we saw along the way, ours was not overcrowded so we could all stretch out. Our guides were so knowledgeable that there were times when people from other tours came over to us. The crew politely moved us away ensuring a private experience. We never felt rushed and were able to spend significant time snorkeling on the barrier reef, engaging with and feeding the stingrays, and learning about the different types of starfish at Starfish Point. I would highly recommend George’s Watersports!Written 29 December 2024
- mikebS5466YG0 contributionsVery good tour serviceBoat was nice, clean and roomy. Crew was very welcoming and helpful. Cooler of beer, pop and water provided by George’s was a nice touch. Private boat tour is the way to go. Spend a couple more $ per person. The crew will customize your trip to your liking. We cut out the mangrove tour for more snorkeling time on the reef. At stingray city the crew brought stingrays to us to hold and touch. They also brought squid for us to feed them. Our experience with the stingrays was WAY better than the large tour ships with dozens of tourists who had none of those experiences.Written 28 December 2024
- japedrazzoesq0 contributionsWonderful half day water excursionVal, David and Thomas were wonderful hosts and guides. They explained everything at all 4 stops we made which included stingray city, snorkeling at the barrier reef, starfish cove and a pass through the mangrove forest. The boat ride was fun and safe! We had a lovely day.Written 22 December 2024

- J6694DWdarcym0 contributionsFabulous tour!I went on the 4 stop eco tour. Excellent shuttle service right to a modern, spacious boat. There was plenty of room as our group had only 8 people so it was class! The crew were exceptionally friendly and had lots of knowledge to share. Warm water, sun and amazing experience with the stingrays. Starfish Point was amazing, beautiful creatures. I really enjoyed the Mangroves, could have stayed there a lot longer. Beer was flowing and the craic was ninety!Written 25 November 2024
- MulchManiac0 contributionsPerfect experience Stingray beach, snorkel, starfish, mangrovesMy guides were Val, Sean and David. They are very friendly and genuine. I am handiapped and they helped me with everything so that I enjoyed the day as much as anyone else. The places we visited were very nice. Stingray area was fun and the barrier reef snorkel was great also. We had 16 on our boat. The boat was new, fast and fun. I highly recommend this company and experience. Snorkeling very easy since it's so salty that you just float! They have a long rope out that you can grab anytime if needed to pull yourself back to boat. I can't say enough .....they were great!Written 12 November 2024

I spent the greater part of an afternoon looking for the perfect tour for our couples trip to Cayman. We landed on Georges 5 stop tour and it couldn’t of been a better choice. There were 18 people on our boat, honestly I was afraid that might be too many but it was still an intimate and we all had a great time getting to know one another. Our 8 AM departure meant we were at stingray city before the crowds and sardine boats (cayman name the large boats that pack in hoards of tourists). The stingrays came over to the boat to greet us, they were circling all around us and nudging against us like a cat would your leg, it was amazing! Our tour guides knew how to care for them and everyone all got a chance to cradle and feed “Susie”. Starfish point was a unique experience as well, and let me tell you the barrier reef was probably the most amazing underwater aquarium we’ve ever seen, better than Hawaii! We had a relaxing hour at stingray city, A little stop over near the mangroves, and were back to the dock around 1pm. A very full day- We experience so much, but it never felt rushed! I rarely take the time to write a review, but these guys deserved one. You will not be disappointed if you Go.

I am so glad that we booked this excursion it was one of the highlights of our trip! We board the vessel after being picked up from our hotel which we didn’t realize was right across the street from the Kimpton. We were all fitted with what suits and shoes and gloves to keep us safe from any jellyfish which we did see some at the dock. We left right after sunset so you had a nice view going out to the site. They provided drinks and free beer which was a nice perk. Once we got to the area they told us about how it was created and what it is we were actually looking at it was really interesting.
We had Pool noodles To you help us float around Which was awesome because I am not a strong swimmer and never had snorkeled before so it made me feel very safe. It was just so awesome seeing the water light up I wish we could’ve had pictures but you need a special camera for that. We had about a half an hour of swim time which was more than enough. It was really an awesome experience!

My girlfriend and I did the Stingray City/Starfish Beach/Rum Point tour, and it was an amazing experience. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and they made sure everyone had a chance to do each activity (hold/kiss a stingray, hold a starfish, etc.). They were also excellent picture takers! The planning of this tour is key because they get you to Stingray City early before the throngs of tourists get there. 10/10 would recommend!

There are many companies to choose from and it's often hard to choose online, but I can highly recommend George's Watersports. We happened to have a tour scheduled with them on the day of the earthquake and they were very communicative and reassuring. The next morning, we were picked up perfectly on time and brought to the yacht club to begin the 5 Stop Eco Tour. Tom and Sean were our guides and they were the perfect combination of professional, fun and highly knowledgeable about their island and the wildlife we were able to interact with. The boat was pristine and the equipment we used was also clean and in very good condition. I noticed them keeping used snorkels and fins in separate locations from the clean ones and everything on the boat was very organized. Meeting and kissing Scarface the stingray was a wonderful experience and the other stops were equally as amazing. We only had 4 full days on the island and this tour was absolutely a great way to spend 5 hours and take in the best the island has to offer. We did have to cancel the Bio Bay tour due to the Tsunami warnings, but our money was refunded that day. They offered to book us the following night, but our schedule couldn't accommodate it. Thanks to all members of this company for an experience of a lifetime.

If you’re looking for the best experience on Cayman, then George’s Watersports is it! My husband and I did both the nighttime bioluminescence tour and the 5 stop Eco tour. They were both amazing! The boat is clean, comfortable, and safe. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and even entertaining at times. I felt safe at every point. We saw some other tour boats out there and they were much more crowded, with people hanging all over the boat. With George’s, everyone had their own seat and space to be comfortable, there are cup holders and a cooler filled with water, soda, and a local beer called Caybrew. It’s pretty good! They provide all the equipment that you need and it is good quality and in good condition. I’m already planning my next trip back and I will definitely be booking with George’s Watersports again!

Our family of two adults and two kids (ages 4 and 9) took the early morning 7:30am boat tour to sting ray city and it was amazing. Our captain and other tour guide were fabulous. They grew up in Cayman and in addition to being so gregarious and knowledgeable about the island and the sting rays, it was clear they also genuinely care about animals and environment. It was also great going early morning (as tough as it was to get our kids out the door before 7am) as there was only one other boat there with us and the sting rays at that hour. We highly recommend this tour!

Four of us (all adults) did George's four-stop stingray eco tour and loved it! We were picked up at our hotel and at the dock by 10am. The boat was roomy and comfortable, even with about 20 on board and our two guides were terrific -- friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable with a lot of energy and spirit. We zipped out to stingray city where there were 3 or 4 other boats, but there was plenty of room and plenty of rays, so we never felt crowded. Got right into the water (warm and clear) and our guide found a favorite stingray which we all had a chance to hold and feed. It was a lot more fun than I'd expected. Next we stopped at a nearby reef, got snorkels, masks, fins plus flotation noodles (which really helped) and went off for a half hour of viewing the reef. It was more beautiful than I'd expected and one of the better snorkeling experiences I've had. By the time we all reassembled in the boat, everyone was a bit waterlogged and tired, so the calm starfish stop was a perfect way to decompress, along with the free beer, soda and water provided. On the way back to the dock, we got a wonderful tour of mangrove areas and some of the priciest real estate on the island, which was fun to see. We had a great time and I'd recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the island. I'm only sorry we couldn't do the bioluminescence tour, but we were heading home before the sky reached required darkness. So that will have to wait till our next visit.

My husband and I went on the Early Morning Stingray Tour with George's Watersports and it was FANTASTIC!! I would highly recommend the early morning tour if you are able to get yourself out of bed, it was well worth being the first ones out in the water before all the bigger tour groups get out there (our group was approx. 10 people including us). The tour guides were amazing, and you could tell how much fun they have sharing their knowledge and expertise with the tour guests. When we arrived to Stingray City there must have been at least 20 stingrays that quickly approached the boat. Bring some sort of waterproof camera with you!
We had so much fun feeding, holding, and interacting with these gentle creatures. Thank you for an unforgettable experience George's Watersports!

First of all I would like to thank the two guides of the tour who were very kind to explain how to enjoy the trip at its most. They did not only explain what the tour was about but they were also very careful for all of the group at all times while we were in the water.
One of our concerns was that being the tour so late and obviously having no daylight, we would be cold while snorkeling, but that was not the case at all. They provide you with a full-body water suit that warms you up and with the snorkeling gear which was also in great conditions.
The Bioluminiscence Tour is one of those things you have to do (at least) once in a lifetime. What you see down there is actually fascinating. One actual recommendation is NOT to do a kayak tour because the bioluminiscence can ONLY be fully appreciated by going into the water.

This our is one of the top three experiences I've ever had in my life. Getting u close and personal with the stingrays was incredible! I was very nervous (OK...scared!) at first, but after a while you started to get more comfortable. By the end, I was petting the stingrays on my own with the help of our awesome guides, Tom and Nick.
The tour was a really great value - 99 dollars got you to see the stingrays, Rum Point, the mangroves, starfish point, and the coral reefs. On top of that, there were all you can drink beverages and beer. I didn't see any tours on the island that provided the same amenities as George's, and the professionalism was top notch.
I'd highly recommend this tour to ANYONE. It was the highlight of my trip.

How deep is the water we would be snorkeling in? Do you provide noodles or life jackets for extra buoyancy? We are solid pool swimmers but a wee bit older than many (60+) and perhaps not as adept as others when it comes to swimming in a bay.
Thank you!

The water where we were in the bioluminescent bay was about 7 to 10 ft deep and we got noodles, snorkel masks, and full rash guard suits. We didn't use flippers to protect the sea bottom and to minimize jellyfish contact. It was an amazing experience!

Hi Dawn. Yes, but unless you have special night vision cameras, it will be impossible to capture what you are seeing underwater. It's too dark. We took a few pics with our phone cameras on the boat as we were heading out, but that was it. This is something that really needs to be experienced. Leave your camera on the boat when you are ready to get in the water. You will be glad you did.
