About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- byronb8980 contributionsBooks something elseBook something else. The guide, George, was amicable. Driver was not smooth on the wheel, brakes or gas. Weak stomachs may need preparation or go elsewhere. Chief gripe: the tour was not as advertised. First, it's not as long as the 5.5 hours in the attached screenshot of the marketing material on Trip Advisor, but we didn't want it any longer than the 4 hours and 15 minutes it required. Terrible stops at the overlook and in the volcano. Plantation visit was OK. No tropical juices. No need for swimsuits as the marketing material said. And none of this (straight from the marketing material on this site): "stop at Roseau Breach to see the banana plantations, and explore the charming fishing villages of Anse-La-Raye and Canaries." Would've been good to stop at the banana plantation or the fishing village. Guide just talked about it as we waved at it passing by. Also, no diamond falls visit as stated in the itinerary on this site. Entirely deceptive. Don't do business with Barefoot Holidays in St Lucia.Written 8 February 2025
- 369kimc0 contributionsDo not recommend this tour!On this trip you picked up by a van at your hotel and driven to the south side of the island. This was our first visit to St. Lucia and we had no idea how terrible the roads were. We were supposed to be picked up at 9:00 a.m. and our driver arrived at 8:00. No time for breakfast! We then had to go through terrible traffic to pick up people at the port in Castres. This process took 45 minutes before we could begin our tour. George, our guide was very friendly and informative along the way. The problem was it took 2 1/2 hours to arrive at our destination. Stopped for a view of the Pitons, then drove on to spend a brief stop at the open volcano. We saw the mud baths but did not have a chance to use them. Our final stop a plantation. That was the best part of the trip. It was a very interesting tour. By this time it's 1:00. We were not given any time to eat or drink and began our 2 and 1/2 hour journey back to our resort. The the roads are terrible!. We did not return until until 3:30 p.m. both of us very hungry and grumpy from having to spend 5 hours total in the van. I would not recommend this tour. If you want to see the island, take a catamaran!Written 21 January 2025
- TutorBernie6660 contributionsBare Foot Rum Tour.We had a fabulous morning at the Rum Tour in St Lucia. Our Tour Guide Vincent from Bare Foot Tours was an absolute gentleman and it was an honour spending a few hours in his company. He was very knowledgeable about St Lucia and made us feel very welcome, he even stopped off at a few places so that we could take photos. I would highly recommend booking Vincent as your tour guide you will not be disappointed.Written 17 December 2024

Unfortunately we didn’t see any whales, it’s Mother Nature, such is life! It was my birthday and the sang to me. I would recommend this trip to every and all.Written 20 November 2024

- davidpZ3289LS0 contributionsDISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCEBooked a full day tour on line for two people and received an acknowledgement of the booking, including the booking number. Heard nothing further and so called them the next day (today), gave them my booking number, and they undertook to call me back 'shortly' - in 5 - 10 minutes via Whatsapp. That was three hours ago and nothing heard. I will check on my bank account to make sure that my credit card has not been debited as I had to give them my credit card details at the time of booking. They undertake not to action this until the booking confirmed so I hope that they live up to their policy. All round a most disappointing experience.Written 24 July 2024
- travel2live2470 contributionsWonderful Airport Transfer ExperienceI contacted Barefoot Holidays to assist with airport transfers to/from the resort. The booking process was seamless and the team was very efficient and professional. Upon arriving at the airport, I was greeted with a cold bottle of water and a genuine smile. The drivers were very safe, friendly, and highlighted points of interest and information on St. Lucia as we traveled on the various destinations. I highly recommend contacting Barefoot Holidays for your airport transfers.Written 16 July 2024

- Edwina K0 contributionsAn unforgettable tourWilliam our guide and Tony the driver were the perfect hosts for our tour to see the Pitons. Good team work. We were a small bus of 14 pers who travelled the windy road down the West coast from Rodney Bay. We had such fun with these two. Full of information through stunning scenery, villages, Sulphur Springs and the lovely Morne Coubaril Plantation. Well recommended. Saint Lucia is not just the beach and the lovely blue water.Written 4 April 2024

Enjoyed the trip and staff were very fun. I did find that when people returned to the catamaran they expected to sit in the sane location which is very frustrating to the riders that had to sit inside. Yes, people can still see but would recommend staff either make a black mark on the hand or issue a red ticket to people who sit on the outside at the beginning of the ride, and a different color to the inside riders. Then when customers return to the boat, give the inside riders first choice if seating area on the return trip

The crew was amazing and the food was excellent - by far, the best we had on our whole trip. Loved the mud bath and waterfall. Snorkeling was only so-so but that wasn't anything to do with this tour specifically. Taking the catamaran down and back up the west side of the island was a million times better than driving.

Best excursion we did on our 10 day cruise. The organization if very professional and knows the value of customer service and friendliness. The staff was very attentive and efficient. The lunch was very good with generous portions of BBQ chicken, rice/beans and salad. Drinks were flowing freely and easily. The route we took was breathtaking. The mud baths were a lot of fun and included optional dark mud body painting. You could of course do that yourself if you don't want anyones hands on you. The waterfall was beautiful but it was pretty crowded and lent itself as a result to a short stay. Then we continued our journey to a snorkeling location and there were plenty of fish to see with good variety. Overall, this was an awesome trip and I'd plan future trips with this company in a heartbeat.

Do not book this cruise! We booked and paid and received our confirmation of both booking and payment and then today they have emailed and said that they are fully booked and so we are not included….SERIOUSLY? Why take our money and send confirmation then? Appallingly bad customer service and now left with no trip and we leave the day after tomorrow so no chance to book another at this late stage. I am totally disgusted with this company’s attitude to let people down after confirming booking and payment. I am sure it was because they received a larger booking worth more money so cancelled our booking. Outrageously unprofessional and unreliable company.

We were picked up and taken down to harbour in Castries. A fun day out Pitons are magnificent as is the rest of the coastline called at Soufriere for Mud baths and waterfall, Maginot bay and swimming, snorkeling on way back. Lunch provided and Rum Punch of course.
Thoroughly enjoyed day out, well organised commentary provided on way out, Be Warned take an old swimming costume as it will get stained and stink after med baths.

The trip did have some nice features. Good tour of volcano and waterfall. Snorkeling was average at best and lunch was sub par with rice, noodles and some bland "fresh water" fish. The worst part was the VERY loud and sometimes vulgar music being blared over the numerous speakers. No escaping this while on the boat. Not appropriate for all audiences to be sure. If you are looking for a relaxing day out this is definitely not it. This experience was so bad I canceled a second snorkel trip as to not be jarred by extremely loud "music" for a second day. No refund was offered for the second trip. Live and learn.

Dear Steve,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. While it sounds like there were a few highlights, we understand that the overall tour did not meet your expectations, especially as you were looking for something more relaxing. The Catamaran Day Sail tour can indeed be quite upbeat. We appreciate your detailed information and will take it into account. Your feedback will surely be helpful for others considering this tour.

The trip was fun and informative but a bit too long for us (7:50 AM departure, 5:30 PM return). Favorite parts were the sailing and the volcano. Crew was friendly and tour guides knowledgeable. Rum punch and beers are only offered on the return ride back. I wasn't offered a drink though every other guest on the upper deck was - I'm not sure why I was ignored but it didn't feel great. Wouldn't do it again - mainly because it was too long of an excursion, lunch wasn't good, drinks weren't offered to me, and too much time was spent dropping people off at cruise ships and other hotels after the trip was over. If you're in your 20's or 30's, I suggest you take a shorter day trip (5 hrs tops) on a smaller, faster boat, where a variety of beverages are flowing and the music isn't geared towards those in their early 70's. Also suggest paying for taxi to and from the dock so you're not wasting time on everyone else's transport.

This is a trip worth doing, you get collected from the hotel if too choose, then you get on the catamaran at the Rodney bay harbour, once everyone on board we set sail which you then get to see the pitons from the sea amazing, then we went to Soufriere were we got onto a mini bus a face mask is required when going from the boat to the mini bus we then went to the waterfall, then onto the sulphur springs mud bath which you can go into the baths or do a small guided tour of the volcano which we did the small tour 10.15 minutes approx. (interesting) has we had been to the mud baths on a previous trip, we then all went for a buffet style lunch, then returned to the catamaran and the boat went into marigold bay briefly then we went to the beach were you can snorkel for 30 minutes approx. equipment i.e. glasses and snorkel provided including a life jacket if required, we then sailed back to Rodney bay, all drinks on the boat during the day are provided soft drinks including acholic drinks ,also there is music played on the boat when at sea. Staff are friendly and helpful and good company. A good day out.

This tour offered more than my family and I expected. The catamaran sail offered beautiful views and the lunch served on it was delicious. Also, the stops at the sulphur springs, waterfall, and snorkeling were unique and fun. We met amazing people from different countries and enjoyed our time listening to music on the catamaran.

The trip started with confusion getting to the right bus (multiple itineraries for the same location) and then once we were on the boat, as there was a very large group on the boat in the morning (probably 75-90 people) that we discovered was actually about 5 different tours that started out together on the sail to Soufrier. We didn't realize the tour would take us on land for the majority of the trip (botanical garden, mud bath/volcano crater and then lunch) which was all fine. The sail back was the highlight for sure - 20 minutes of snorkeling (gear provided) with drinks and music on the ride back. Not at all what we were looking for in an excursion but worthwhile if you want to do a lot of things in a day.

Good Day Shawn,
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately, the transfers are for hotels located in the North of the Island and La Haut resort is out of that zone.
Therefore you would have to arrange your own transportation to get you to the starting point of the activity and back to your hotel.
Kind regards.

Also you said you would be in touch soon about our trip but we have not heard anything from you.
We definitely wish to go in this trip & I know that we have to ring you 24 hours before to confirm, but we are flying Friday & won't be able to ring you until we get to our hotel late afternoon.
