Incredible time! Our guide went above and beyond to meet everyone's needs. He made us feel safe, comfortable and helped us have an amazing day, even with such a large group, he spent time with everyone and helped the children and elder people anytime they needed a little extra care. He was also an amazing photographer and always asked if we wanted a photo-op without us asking. This was one of the only tours that actually picked up from our hotel, so we were extremely grateful for the ease there.

They showed up early, communicated extremely well through the entire booking process. I would highly recommend Casual One from Caribbean to anyone wanting a fun easy experience. I would recommend bringing water shoes, socks, and cash/card for the stops we had that we could purchase from.

The trip itself is super fun. We first went to a small market for people to use the restroom, get changed and get snacks/water. We then went to a beautiful swimming hole with a place to jump from, a rope swing or just time to wade in the crystal clear water. From there we went to the natural waterslide where our guide explained everything well to ensure our safety. The views by the waterfall were stunning. After that we went to the area with restaurants, shops, and a beach. We were given plenty of time to enjoy everything. If you're thinking about it, I say book it.

This tour was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. I'd recommend it to anyone going to Puerto Rico. The rainforest was beautiful and it felt unreal being so encapsulated in nature. Our tour guide Ryan (a.k.a. PAPI CHULOOOO) was so so so entertaining, welcoming, and funny. You could tell how much he cares about what he does and about the rainforest. He made sure everyone was safe at all times all the while telling us all about the rainforest and different parts of the island. The cliff jump, rope swinging, and natural waterslide were all incredibly fun no matter what age you are or what fitness level you are at. There's absolutely nothing poor I could say about this tour or about Ryan. I'd recommend having water shoes and a waterproof phone pouch if you want to take pictures and videos.

If you are up for an adventure then this is the tour for you!
I have to admit that it is not for the faint hearted. You have to be willing to get wet, dirty to make the most out of this tour.
They have pick up locations throughout SJ. And if your hotel is not a part of the list for pickups, then you will definitely find another one that is really close by.
We were picked up from El Colon Plaza around 9:20 am. The day started at the river en El Yunque where we were able to swim, jump into the waters from the cliffs, and swing on the rope. The driver remains on the bus, so we felt safe leaving our stuff there. Our tour guide was INCREDIBLE! Super helpful, encouraging and caring. He knows history, and is not afraid to lead by example whether it is the jump, or the rope swing. He stresses on the importance of safety and is a trained lifeguard which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Then we headed for lunch at a cute place. We had smoothies and empeñadas. They were good.
After that we headed to the waterslide, which is the highlights of the tour. Because it is more or less a very physical activity, given the slippery nature of the rocks, our guide took the time to explain in details how to climb up and how to slide down. Upon seeing people from other tours doing it, we felt reluctant to proceed. However, our guide reassured us that these people are not doing it correctly, this is why most of them look like they’re having a rough time coming out of the waters after the slide. And indeed, after learning the correct technique, the climb and the slide were much easier than what they seem like.

Finally, we proceeded to go to Luquillo beach to wind down for a couple of hours (beautiful beach with some bars and shops) before heading back to OSJ.

Again, you can simply participate in the hike and chill and the beach and just see if you’re up for more. My advise is to bring just the necessary items: sneakers for the hike (which you will take off for the jump/water slide), bathing suit/shorts, towel. You can bring an extra pair of shorts or piece of clothing to change but I was comfortable staying in my swimming trunks the whole day. You might also want to bring another T-shirt, and flip-flops/ sandals for the beach. You will have to pay for lunch and any extras on beach, and tips if you want so bring some cash, but just enough to make it through the day as you might be leaving that unattended at times. And bring a waterproof cover for the phone because you will want to take pictures

Shoutout to our guide Edwin (sorry if I misspelled it) and our driver (I apologize because I forgot his name) for doing an incredible job. Highly recommended

By casual, I thought it meant relaxed but it didn’t feel very relaxed. It feel like calling an Uber but the Uber kept taking you places you didn’t really want to be. The Adventurous One tour was phenomenal, but the Casual One tour just wasn’t up to par. We didn’t see any of the rainforest or any wildlife or beautiful scenery. We just kind of sat around at watering holes that were too cold to swim in unless you’re a wild teenager or something. I would definitely recommend this one to book if you have young children since all they want to do is swim and play around wherever. I, personally, spent hours holding in having to use the restroom to the point of actual physical pain. The tour guide was David and he seemed like a great guy from the little we interacted. He was very attentive to the children diving and frolicking about which was great. For the adults without children, not so much was going on. Luquillo Beach was pretty dirty and unappealing. I really wanted to leave after about 10 minutes because I was overheated and really desperately needed to use a restroom. I finally found a restaurant willing to let me use the bathroom if i bought food and a drink, but the restroom had no toilet paper or soap so that was a waste. The pinchos were good at least, and David was pretty chill. I feel like the tour could have been better with more details about the island along the way but maybe that’s what casual meant. No idea. The company itself was great at keeping me informed along the way and booking was simple and straightforward. When I go back I am booking the Adventurous One with hopefully Luis as the guide. Luis might have made the Casual One tour five times better now that I think of it. I know he would have brought us to a bathroom for sure!

Pros - tour guide is full of emerge and vibe, very friendly, played great clubbing music on the ride; the waterslide is fun!; the river jumping, and rope jumping is also fun!

cons - the tour took us to a vendor stand to buy smoothies, phone cases, which we spend over 20 minutes. The tour also arranged a 2 hour lunch break after the rainforest. I wish they could just simply charge more for the tour itself but actually took us to the spots to enjoy the activities longer, instead of being rushed at the activities and taken to various business associates to earn more money.

Even the last stop, wish we knew the beach itself were amazing, instead of being told to go to the specific restaurant to dine and drink. Afterall, time is more valuable for us tourists than tour fees. We want to explore and enjoy what nature fun Puerto Rico can offer.

We were very disappointed, every stop we felt rushed and was over crowded with other groups. There was no adventure or exploring, these “ hidden gems “ never felt special. Every activity seem like something you could do on your own.

Random lake with jumping cliff
Someone backyard water slide ( charging to use bathroom)
Public beach anyone can go.

Also the tour picked us up 30 mins late and dropped us off over 3 hours late.

Due to over waiting on people and the bus breaking down.

Love this experience so much! Ryan was the absolute best tour guide. He made it so fun and even let us stay at the rainforest river longer than other groups that came at the same time as us. Trekking though the mud my rainforest really bonded us to the other people in our group. Everyone really stepped up to help each other along the way. If you go be sure to wear clothing that will get muddy (I recommend swim suit and swim shorts) leave everything else on the bus. Also be sure to wear good hiking sandals.

From the time we were picked up at our hotel we were treated to the most passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. As we moved out of our comfort zone to jump, climb and slide in nature our guide always ensures that we were safe. The local restaurant we went to for lunch was the perfect introduction to local Puerto Rican food.

If you're up for an energetic guide capable of providing the entire content of the island history and tour information in about 4 minutes, often including a few F-bombs and mamajuana references, Mr. no-facemask Pedro is the guide for you!

After van picked us up about an hour and a half past our scheduled time, we enjoyed touring a few other hotels en route to the rainforest. Apparently the van had some technical problems. Well, let me tell you, the driver did wonders babying that bad boy through Puerto Rico traffic all jerkin' and sputtering. He truly deserves a reward. We were amazed that past century vehicle made the trip!

But I digress. Our 1.5 hour stop at the rainforest was compressed into about 45 minutes. A little more time might have been nice, but to be fair, most had had their fill. This WAS the most beautiful part of the trip.

We then sputtered out of the park to the rock water slide. A neat, natural water slide in the middle of nowhere. Pedro got a little pissy at a couple who were a little more anxious to get down to the watering hole rather than wait on the herd of cats ambling that general direction. Just an F-Bomb or two there.

After about 20 minutes of taking in scenery, watching the crowd of mostly locals, and enjoying the aroma of roasting food with a whiff of some apparent quality ganja, Pedro encouraged his entourage to move on to the next stop because 'it didn't appear that people were having fun.'. Granted, not allow were breaking their necks on the slide, but not all were ready to go.

Amazingly we had gained that hour and a half we lost! On to the next adventure including the beach and food. With strict instructions to be back on the bus at 4, we were cut loose. Pretty decent food and shopping. Our 4 turned into 4:30 because, well, herding cats. No worries. Homeward bound.

After hitting about 4 of the hotels and encountering some major traffic in Condado, Pedro started making multiple comments about how long it was going to take to get to certain hotels all but kicking people off the bus because they might be able to walk faster. I appreciate the couple who stood firm and made Pedro follow through. As for us, we were looking to be the last to be kicked out, so we just got off and walked the remaining mile. It was honestly more enjoyable than sitting in traffic enjoying Pedro's company.

I would recommend seeing these sites. Puerto Rico is a beautiful country with lots to offer. I wouldn't even be opposed to another Caribbean Breeze Adventure, but if there's the chance Pedro is in charge, not gonna happen! Paying more and going with a smaller group would be preferable. As far as this tour, it was painful.

If you opt to take your chances, leave your kids at home!

Excellent tour, well worth the money. Two stops in the rainforest to jump and slide into the rivers. Water was cool but the views were worth it. Luis our guide was amazing and had to rescue people twice. Rest of the day at the beach and drinking and eating. Good value considering they picked us up at the hotel and round-trip the bus rides were 40 min each way. This trip has only short walks into the forest, so no real hiking in case that's what you are looking for. Bathrooms at all stops.
