Great tour and sn amazing guide
The tour we chose was the Founder's Experience and it was amazing. The tour guide was terrific. Itsy explained everything in a way that everyone could understand, also to those who know nothing about rum. She was funny and she transmitted passion in everything she was saying. If one day we will do this tour again, we will for sure ask for her. Thank you so much, Itsy. YOU ARE AMAZING! El Italiano y la Ponceña!

      Founder Experience with Itsy
Itsy was our tour guide on the founder's experience. I honestly feel that Casa Bacardi should charge more to have her as a tour guide because that's how good she is. Her knowledge, and engagement, with the group, was amazing. I honestly don't think the tour would be as good if it wasn't for her. I highly recommend it. If possible ask for Itsy

This was a great experience. Got to taste some rum and other drinks that have rum. Lots of history on how Bacardi got its name and how it started.

      Terrible experience wouldn’t recommend
Worst experience ever if visiting I will not recommend, service was never provided and address was completely wrong had to call and speak with a representative twice who gave me another wrong address into the point we was 3 mins late and once arrived they claimed we missed the tour.. and could not enjoy the experience offered another day that wasn’t even available once agreed On date… they will send you a text messsge with address details that will take you to a employee entry where nobody will be please don’t go to address in the text message (Palmas Catao Pr 00962) it’s actually 12 mins away and is completely wrong which will delay arrival and once your late due to all the inconsistencies you will not be granted a refund… due to the policy which need to be updated immediately terrible experience and it was apart of my anniversary gift to my spouse and was ruined the staffed acted as this happen often and had no sense of empathy or care to find any form of resolution.. I still have the phone number of the employee who texted me and told me that I was at the wrong gate which is literally 5 mins away I called twice and got the text that stamped 4:52 simple communication with peers could’ve made this all better.. please arrive a hour early just to be on the safe side below I attached the picture I took which was actually the employee gate as you can see I was at that gate from the screen shot picture at 4:40pm after waiting over 10 mins thinking someone would eventually open the gate

      Bacardi Founder'sTour- a great experience
My son and I visited San Juan as an end of summer father and son extended weekend. We decided early on to tour the distillery, and selected the Founder'sTour. My expectations were not high, since I have visited breweries and distilleries in the past. We were greated at the pavillion by friendly staff, and at the bar by Eduardo, who were only surpassed only by the outgoing, professional and knowledgeable guide, William. The Tour was exceptional. William not only shared an encyclopedia of knowledge, but clearly showed his love and admiration for the company. He broadened my appreciation for rum (not a big rum fan previously) and made the experience personal, bringing back many great memories of my dad and uncles, cuban born admirers of many Cuban founded companies, Bacardi among them. Thanks to William and this tour, I will enjoy rum more frequently and more often in the future. Thank you, William, for a great experience, and an even greater memory with my son.

      Mixology w/ Danny
My partner and I just finished the mixology class. Getting there was pretty easy (we took the ferry from Old San Juan to Cataño then took a quick Uber there) when we got there the staff immediately welcomed us. They were all hella nice. Got our free cocktails, a mojito and a Cuba libre. Both were bussin. When the time came our tour guide/teacher Danny directed everyone in the class to the golf carts. We toured the grounds with a lil history lesson. It was actually pretty entertaining. Then we got to the class, made a couple cocktails, they were also bussin. Danny was amazing. He was knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He had jokes, he had facts, he had some dance moves lol. Definitely a fun lil thing to do while in PR.

      Don’t do it, traffic nightmare
The address does not pull up for Uber so you are basically in panic mode trying to get there. You sign up for the mixology class at 5:00. You call twice to let them know you are struggling with Uber to get there. You make the first phone call at 4:00 knowing you are trying to get there by 4:30. On the phone they say “No problem! Just get here safe.” We manage to get a taxi, then we are in massive traffic that Casa Bacardi obviously knows about. When you get there they say sorry about your luck on your Mixology class, but we can take you at 5:30. Of course we assumed it was for a later mixology class. It was for a complete different experience, rum tasting and no one gave us that information. You get a cheesy tour on a golf cart. You aren’t going into the facility for the tour. After the awful tasting rums, you get a coin for a free drink…well by the time we got out the only drinks available to us was a frozen daiquiri or a pina coloda. Don’t waste you time on this company. Poorly run and just want your money>

      Make drinks with new friends
You're immediately greeted with great welcome vibes (and a free drink) from the bar. The tour was informative, and the mixology class was so fun! You get to make a couple of delicious cocktails before heading out to the gift shop.

This tour does not have a distillery tour component. It is a museum setting with a short tram ride that whisks you by the distillery on the way to the building. The tour is relatively interesting, but not as fun as others I have been on. Pre-tour you get a drink (excellent) and some time to relax before the tour, taking in the beautiful view of the water.

Thanks for sharing Lynn K! We are happy that you like the tour at Casa BACARDI. It sound like you took part in our Historical Tour. If you're interested in the distillery process, we recommend Mixology Class. This one can be more fun for you. We hope you'll give us a second chance and visit again soon. Cheers! 🥃🦇

Let start with...tours are NOT free and Walk-ins are NOT welcome. I visited Casa Bacardi on Sunday, April 16th, bought 2 tickets online (a week before the visit) and tried to get another one at the moment of the registration, but when the CSR asked the Manager on duty, this one said no because the tour was "completely sold". Then I asked the CSR, how about if there is "no show", may I buy that ticket? Can you please ask your manager? CSR seems afraid to ask again and apologized for not being able to sell me one more. At the time of the tour, only 14 people attended and the tour is for 35 people. Tour is very nice and our Tour Guide was pleasant, but CS is not. So sad that Puertorricans' do this to their people.

This was a great experience, there was a short film we watched, we were able to see a little museum they have that shows the original process of making the rum, they have all the different rums on display, and we tasted a $185 rum! The staff are very passionate the grounds are very cleanly. They give you tokens for a complimentary daiquiri which is nice. Just be mindful of the time if you book more than one experience back to back. We booked the mixology class right after and were scared we were too late but everything worked out fine.

Well done tour. Took the ferry over from the cruise terminal (50cents) and then caught a van $3 which are waiting around outside ferry to the Casa Bacardi. Got checked in about 20 min early and got a really well made mojito from the bar while we waited for our tour to start. The tour guide drove us on a tram around the complex and pointed out buildings and history of Bacardi. We then entered a building watched a short movie and learned some more about the unique blending and aging process. Ended the tour in the gift shop which had nice items too. Took just over an hour for the tour. Took the $3pp van waiting in the parking lot back to ferry.

We had a really cool tour guide (Omar), that displayed a wealth of knowledge. He was funny, personable and a bartender. He made the experience worthwhile. The information was great and I actually learned how to pronounce Bacardi. I recommend this tour if you like history and don't mind getting mind drunk off the whiffs you will take throughout. I also like that you can bottle your experience and get the bottle engraved! $85 for top end here, $400 elsewhere.

The tour itself was enjoyable, but not worth the price. My issue was their $20/pp transportation package (ferry and shuttle). The shuttle picked us up from the ferry on time BUT, there was NO INFO about the return shuttle back to the ferry. This is a large corporation and they can't figure out how to communicate to visitors about the return shuttle AND make sure it is timely? The ferries run every hour. We asked them when the shuttle will arrive and told 4:30 for a 4:45 ferry. The shuttle didn't show until 4:42; obiously not enough time. I should have taken an uber!

AND, with that free drink!??? We stood in line about 20-25 min while we watched only 3 bartenders (for a large crowd), shake and entertain the customers in front of them. We got to the bar and then told we can't have a cocktail because our tour was leaving. After the tour, we got back in the long line.

They could have easily had signs to navagate the situation. We didn't know where to go when we arrived; little info on how to get to our tour and of course, the shuttle situation.

I would NOT recommend this tour.

Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry to hear you feel that way. All of the information regarding the transportation package is included in your email confirmation, it has the terms and conditions as well as the schedule for the ferry and shuttle. To clarify it is not $20, it is $15 for the round trip and $13 for the round-trip group discount (4+ guests). In regard to the bar line, we understand sometimes can be frustrating because everyone wants to enjoy their welcome cocktail before the start of the experience, that is why we recommend arriving 30 minutes before the start of the tour so you can relax and enjoy your cocktail. We hope to host you in a future visit to Rum Paradise, for booking assistance feel free to reach us at 787-788-8400 from Monday through Sunday from 8am-5pm or at casabacardi@bacardi.com. Cheers!

I recommend this tour if you wanna find out just a little information about Bacardi. They take you on a little trolley and explain some of the buildings. Then you go inside watch a video and you get to try a sip of a rare drink they make….Bacardi should make the sample size bigger !!! Or offer two samples perhaps ? Then you go into the gift shop. It takes a little less than an hour, but it’s the right amount of information. We went to the bar and had a couple drinks and hung out on the grounds . They should tell you that they have a shuttle to and from the taxi and they should do that for free . This is for the legacy tour only - we didn’t do the other tours. . The tours are a huge money maker - they could offer a little more for the price point - our cost was 89$ for two people. A little expensive for a small sip of Bacardi and one free drink.

We took the legacy tour for around $40 each. If you are expecting to see any of the distilling process or the factory you won’t see it on this tour. It consisted of a free drink in the pavilion while you wait for the trolley. The trolley does not even take you around the grounds or into the area where the rum is made. You go about a block to the front of the main building and they point down the street where the vats are. They let you off at the education center where everyone is put in a small room that appears to be staged. It was very dim and had a few barrels sitting around. The guide then talked a bit about how rum is made . He was almost impossible to hear because he had no microphone or speaker system. You are then taken to watch a short movie about the Bacardí history. Then you go to a small bar area where the guide describes the six different types of rum they make. Again he was very hard to hear. You get a tiny sample of one of the higher end rums. Then you go to the gift shop. Entire tour is 40 minutes long which was accurately represented in the description. Not worth $40 in my opinion. We also didn’t know how far away this was from the cruise port ( our fault for not checking) - about 20 miles, lots of traffic. So think twice if you want to invest that much time into this tour.

We loved this tour - upon arrival you get a free cocktail each in this cool outdoor tent. I’d recommend making sure you get there 30 mins before the tour (as recommended) as we were a bit late so decided to save our drinks tokens till after the tour. Instead we played cornhole and got some pictures whilst we waited. The tour was really informative whilst being fun and all round a great place with a good vibe. Would definitely go back to try the mixology class! The staff were also all lovely and upbeat, our tour guide Cam did an excellent job and it was her first day (which we were amazed at!). Great place
