    What to Expect
Discover two of the biggest attractions that Puerto Rico has to offer on this combination Camuy Caves and Arecibo Observatory day trip from San Juan. If you’re hoping to check out Puerto Rico’s natural wonders and more unusual sights, this is the perfect tour to get deep inside (literally) two of the island’s more unexpected landmarks.

Start your day with a pickup between 7am and 8am at your San Juan hotel, continuing on to the incredible Camuy Caves system in the northwest part of the island. Step inside the subterranean world of this underground complex for a safe guided tour of its soaring interiors, strange sinkholes and eons-old stalactites and stalagmites. Close your eyes and listen to the echoes of the thunderous tropical river that still flows through the cave’s many chambers and channels, continuing the slow expansion that started millions of years ago.

Continue on to the Arecibo Observatory, a monster-size concrete bowl that looks as if giant dropped it between the foothills along Puerto Rico’s craggy northern coast. Learn about the scientists from all over the world that journey to this famous 1000-foot (305m) diameter dish to listen to the sounds of the universe, studying the radio emissions from distant galaxies and quasars. Then head to the observation platform, where you can view this enormous scientific instrument up close, its metallic surface glinting against the earthy green foliage that surrounds its rim.

Finish your day with a return trip to San Juan, arriving back at your hotel around 4:30pm.

Please note that lunch and entrance fees to the attractions will be at your own expense.

I am sorry that you had this bad experience. But this was not with our Company. If we have to cancel, we do that the day prior by 5 pm , not later then 7 pm. Unless you booked this through a third Party and they did not inform you on time.

We had an absolutely terrific day. Our guide, Jacob, is a stellar guide and we feel so lucky that he took us around. Jacob is highly knowledgeable with warmth, wit, intelligence and seemingly endless curiosity about almost everything. My wife and I turned out to be the only two

We booked this trip about 6 weeks in advance of our trip to Puerto Rico and were really excited to see the caves and the observatory. At 5:00pm the day before the trip, I received a text that the trip had been canceled due to too few guests. I called Castillo Watersports, and

I take the opportunity to apologize for this bad experience you had with our service. We are always trying to accommodate all reservations, but do need a minimum to cover cost. Our Agent was able to get another Family reserved to have the minimum, but unfortunately the Tour Guide called in sick. We tried to get another Guide last minute to take the trip out, but nobody was available due to the Holiday week. I am very happy to hear that you did get another Guide to take your Family on the Tour. Please forgive us for not handling the situation to your satisfaction.

This tour advertises in the title Cueva Ventana, then in the description Rio Camuy... which is it? Definitely call ahead before you book this tour. I attempted to visit Camuy Caves in June 2018, and they were closed.

Thank you for pointing out that the first page of our Web Site says Camuy Caves. That should have been changed. The Camuy Caves are still closed, that's why we offer Cueva Ventana instead. Not sure why you think the description is of the Camuy Caves. The description was changed when we went live and started to offer this a week ago.But we have not done this Tour yet. So I am disappointed that yuu give us a 3 star rating without having been on our Tour.It does show Camuy on the initial page, but as soon as you open it gives you the Window Cave information.
