- autismom0 contributionsSeeing San Juan from a different perspective...We did the San Juan Mini Boat Tour in a beautiful January morning. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk from Caribe Hilton to the marina. Check in was easy. The mini boat was clean and in very good condition. Francisco was our guide who lead us to some spectacular sights. It was pretty neat to see Old San Juan from the water and also a lot of fun to be side by side (well, sort of) with some giant cruise ships. The water was choppy part of the tour, so the adventurous element was definitely there too. We walked to the T Mobile District afterwards and had a great lunch there. This tour gave me a chance to see San Juan from a different perspective and I highly recommend it.Written 7 February 2025

- Jamie E0 contributionsBeautiful Day ExcursionThis catamaran sail to Culebra was a marvelous tour! Not to be missed. It was a very breezy day, and congrats to the captain for skillful boat handling; we sailed the whole way there and back. The crew was excellent and attentive, geared toward safety of the guests. The beach is beautiful, and the lunch was great, with varied offerings: sandwiches, tuna salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit, chips, etc. The snorkeling was perfect, as the clear water gave a good view of fish and some beautiful sea fans. Finally, I closely observed how quickly and professionally the crew attended to a passenger feeling ill. Good work. I will definitely enjoy this tour again.Written 1 February 2025

- U3591AStracyd0 contributionsNot the best tour guidesWeather prevented us from going to Culebra so we went to Vieques. Everyone went there that day! Was busy. Couldn't swim next to boat because boats were all around. Got yelled at because waves and current were pushing me towards this small boat and was told to stay closer. NOT my fault. The guy who took us snorkeling as like follow me, and that's it. No do directions, no words of advice, no nothing!! It was dangerous! I came up next to the rock ledge and had about a foot clearance and there were urchins in the small holes so I had to he extremely careful and go over at the correct time! Views were beautiful but you didn't have any freedom to do anything. Beach was packed, could only walk 1 direction, wasn't the best. Only thing was they had some drinks, sandwich bar, and fruit. Had to entertain yourself because we had like 4 hrs there. Few guys on the crew didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I don't remember any names either except Captain Smith maybe? Idk.Written 29 January 2025
- 36Hours0 contributionsDecent cancellation optionsWe booked this tour for January, but there was a small craft advisory so the trip ended up being cancelled. They offered us other options, but none of them worked for us so I asked for a refund. There were no problems getting my money back including the trip insurance I purchased through them. Would do business with them again and hope to return one day to take this trip.Written 28 January 2025
- Pioneer5592650 contributionsSpectacular day with this group!I researched this excursion months in advance and it did NOT disappoint!! We were on the boat Tropical Escape with Capt Jose and crew of Paola, Neftali, Alex, Celix. They had great communication with us. The day before tour, they called our group and notified us of possible change of route due to rough waters. We were fine with whatever. Luckily, we got to go to Culebra / Flamenco Beach. I guess it was the 1st time in 3 weeks they were able to go there. It was so beautiful. Words cannot describe. It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend. The captain and crew were so fun. And the food they served was actually really good. Drinks were good too.Written 28 January 2025

This was an incredible experience, and we didn't even get to snorkel!
We went on the catamaran tour to Icacos, out of Farjado, in mid-November. We received a call the day before the scheduled excursion, letting us know that the snorkeling portion may be canceled due to riptides and that even getting to Icacos was not guaranteed due to the water, but that another beach would be offered if that was the case. They were offering a full refund. We were in the airport, about to board, and didn't have time to think about it much. I'm glad we did not cancel!
We arrived at the marina an hour before the tour began. We found the parking area easily and then someone directed us to the East Island area. Check in was so easy and we were given color-coded wristbands that would determine boarding order. They had a small gift shop/cafe as well as bathrooms and showers. We found a place to sit while waiting and enjoyed watching the local roaming cats.
We were in the first group to board and decided to sit in the back of the boat for the shade. The front of the catamaran was the more popular spot and most people hung out there, but we enjoyed our ride out from where we were in the back. Once we arrived at Icacos, they announced snorkeling would not be an option but encouraged us to enjoy the water. We were given instructions to not go far onto the island and then given hours to have fun. We took advantage of the boat slide as well as the stairs going into the water. We ended up spending hours in the water, floating and swimming around. It was beautiful! The current picked up and they announced a riptide (which we had already noticed) and asked everyone to move in a little closer. The company provides drinks (rum-based as well as juices, sodas, and water) and lunch (a buffet spread of sandwich meats and cheeses, pasta salad, coleslaw, chips, fruit.) We enjoyed the rum and juice drinks as well as lunch. The fruit was fresh and they cut it up right there on board. The sandwich fixings were okay and the bread was surprisingly good- seemed more like fresh bakery bread.
The crew was friendly and funny and certainly knows how to keep customers happy. At one point, one crew member was swimming trays of drinks out to us in the water (that took some talent!) They kept good music going and drinks flowing (maybe to make up for the lack of snorkeling?) We enjoyed meeting other participants and by the end of the day, it seemed like everyone was hanging out together.
The trip would have been even better with the snorkeling, but this was beyond anyone's control and we still had a fantastic time- it was our favorite activity during the entire trip. Keep up on sunscreen and hydration- it's easy to lose track of time while enjoying the water! We would absolutely do this again!

We have done this amazing tour before but this time my wife and I got to show it to a larger group of friends. What we love about this one is you're on a sail catamaran so you're outside the whole time enjoying the views of the coast of Puerto Rico and other islands on the way and Icacos the destination is excellent. The other tours are cool but they are on bigger and faster catamarans where you have to stay inside during the transport and have less time in the sun. Our crew was amazing! They kept the drinks flowing and the lunch is a really good. Also the Captain nailed it as music DJ with a good mix of mainland hits along with new upbeat local songs and some classics. The tour is worth the price alone, sailing to Icacos and another spot to snorkel, but then you add the free drinks and lunch it's really a no brainer. Book this tour!

We had a fantastic cruise with our Captain Arturo and his crew, they were all top notch! They were a very attentive crew, catered to all of our needs and made us feel welcome. The snorkeling and beach locations were exceptional, the day couldn't have gone better. They even arranged transportation for us to and from our house. We would highly recommend booking with East Island Excursions!

We booked this trip for my birthday and it was the best decision ever. The bus from San Juan was included in the price and it made the trip so much easier. The boat was amazing, the crew was fun, and the drinks were sooo good! They had Medella beers and multiple mixed drink options made with Don Q. Our trip had the most fun people we all danced and they played great music! Not only was the boat fun, but the island was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. The water was warm and clear, and it was just an amazing island to see. Finally the snorkeling over the coral reefs was an unforgettable experience. We were able to see all kinds of fish and sea creatures and it truly was incredible. Overall if you’re considering booking this trip… just DO IT!!! You won’t regret it.

Icacos Snorkeling & Beach tour — Power catamaran to Icacos.
My family of 5, with the youngest being 2-years-old, needed an experience that we ALL could enjoy. This one was it. The check in process was easy and the employees were very nice. They have a coffee shop inside, double doors to the left, where you can get something to eat and drink. They also have several items on display that you can buy such as shirts, bottoms, etc.
We sailed on a boat that holds approximately 20 people to Icacos. There were 2 tables inside and enough seating for everyone to feel comfortable and not cramped. The boat ride on that day was pretty fun. A little choppy but not in a way that made anyone sick. The kids loved it. The staff were polite and respectful. Captain Arturo, David, and Elaine were amazing. Each had a great personality and did their best to assist you with anything and everything. We all felt safe and relaxed with this awesome team. I can’t express enough how great each one of them are.
When we snorkeled, they gave us all the gear we needed and we had plenty of time to enjoy it. They provided drinks and plenty of snacks. From small sandwiches to salads. Non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Chips, cookies, and fruits.
After the snorkeling experience, we made our way to the beach. The water was crystal clear and look beautiful. We all had a great time and again, we had plenty of time to enjoy it. When we were done, the ride back was fairly quick and we made it back right on time for our transport service to take us back to our resort. For a family of 5, I believe this was definitely perfect for us.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Our boat tour was an unforgettable adventure, starting with crystal blue waters that were perfect for snorkeling and swimming. It did rain for about 15 minutes at the beginning of our trip, but it cleared up beautifully by the time we reached the beach and reefs. From then on, the sun was out, and it was gorgeous the entire day.
The underwater scenery was breathtaking, with plenty of colorful fish to see. The captain and the team were simply amazing—attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The lunch on board was delicious, with a deli-style buffet that had something for everyone, complemented by a selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Everything was well-organized and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the ocean in a fun and relaxed setting!

It was a fantastic trip! They take you to a gorgeous beach where you spend a couple of hours and then they take you to a coral reef where you snorkel. They provided the snorkel equipment. No need for a waterproof bag as your stuff stays on the boat. No need for water shoes. A waterproof camera or a bag for your cell phone highly recommend! Staff is great! Drinks were delicious but weak (understandable that they don’t want a boat full of drunks swimming and snorkeling!) Lunch was very good (rolls, lunch meat, chicken salad, slaw) and lots of fresh fruit. Overall, a great time!

Great service all around! The driver picked us up timely. The checkin price was easy, then you are given a color coded wristband with your seating number written for proper tracking of guests. Next you are sized for your fins and it’s time to board. Once boarded the crew was friendly and informative! We were given life vests and snorkeling equipment, all were updated and clean. Stopped at a reef first, and there are plenty of crew to assist in the water for non-swimmers. Food was served in stages and again all fresh and delicious! The ride was a little choppy but who can predict the ocean. It was a perfect day!

The trip was amazing! Weather was not on our side but the captain and crew made sure we were taken care of. I rate this boat ride to Icacos 5 star. I recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing day at the beach water like you never seen before and just a good time I can’t wait to do it again 👍🏼

We started off our day hopeful and excited, and ended it insulted and disappointed. The minute we stepped on the boat we were guided to the back of the boat and told to take our "assigned seat" in the scorching hot sun. My wife very politely asked one of the crew members if we could move into the shade since the boat was only half full at the time, and was told that the assigned seats were only temporary and that we could move around once we got under way, but for now we would have to sit where they originally put us. Unfortunately where they put us was likely the worst seats on the whole boat as i will soon explain. Once we got under way the drinks were very good, as were most of the crew, however since we were in the back of the boat the loud drone of the engines and the occasional waft of exhaust fumes made it very hard to enjoy the voyage. Once we got to the island and the beach the scenery was amazing, however we discovered we were sitting in front of the access to the rear swim ladder, so we were constantly being jostled and splashed by people coming in from the water to use the slide. My poor wife bore the brunt of the discomfort though as shortly after we arrived at the beach one of the crew members came by to remove her seat cushion so her "seat" was basically removed and proved the point that we were sitting on a staircase. He removed her cushion so the stairs would be less slippery for the people coming in from the water, which was safer for them, but didn't help us feel any less uncomfortable. After a lovely swim to cool off, we decided to move to the front of the boat as we were told we could do. We were able to enjoy the ocean breeze and the beautiful views from the front of the boat for the middle 20 minute trip, but as the boat was preparing to leave to head back to harbor one of the crew members came over to scold us in front of the other passengers. He told us that we had to retun to our "spot" at the back of the boat and that we were crowding the other guests at the front. So once again we were forced to return to our seats at the back although at least this time we got a full helping of public shaming and humiliation to make it even better. There are certain things that make a catamaran voyage special, like the snap of the sails and the breeze in your face, and most especially sitting just a few feet above the blue Caribbean water on a net, which is exactly why we booked one. If they can't treat all their guests equally then they are either overbooking their trips, or they just dont care. East Island Excursions managed to turn what should have been a fun filled trip on the East Wind catamaran into the foul stench of regret. Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs.

A couple of questions:
1. Is snorkeling included within this price ? Or we have to rent the equipments?
2. Do we have to pay for alcohol ? if not, then what the options available ?
