After a pick you up directly at your hotel or guest house, we'll drive to La Pointe des Châteaux. A beautiful walk of about 1 hour, where you can admire preserved flora and extraordinary landscapes, especially from the top of the headland adorned with a cross and two orientation tables. From there, enjoy an exceptional view of the island of Grande-Terre, the rocks of the Castles Headland, the Atlantic Ocean and the island of Désirade in the distance! From there, we'll drive further to The Damoiseau Rum Distillery. Famed for its cane juice rum, it gives visitors a chance to discover the secrets of the rum-making process. In the early afternoon, after lunch, a little relaxation will be suggested at the beach of Anse du Souffleur. On the way back, you will make a stop at the Morne-à-l'Eau cemetery. Its chequered black and white graves create the impression of a big chessboard. Arranged as an amphitheatre on the side of a small hill, it dazzles visitors with its impressive tombs, some adorned with slanting roofs and terraces..
North side of Basse-Terre
After passing through the capital city of Pointe à Pitre, you will drive towards the northern part of the Basse-Terre region to discover the culture of sugar cane in the municipality of Lamentin. In this region, you can admire some pineapple plantations, as well as varieties of bananas and various fruits depending on the season (guava, mombins, maracujas ...). At the northern end of the Basse Terre, Sainte-Rose awaits you to reveal its very authentic small fishing port facing the Grand Cul de Sac Marin. You will walk on the leeward coast, Caribbean sea side. In the late morning, you will stop on one of the most beautiful beach of Guadeloupe, Grande Anse Deshaies. A marvel for swimming and resting. Take out the camera, it's beautiful. Then you will have lunch in a traditional restaurant where you can taste the local specialties. In the afternoon, we'll drive to either the Acomat Falls or the Crayfish Waterfall. You will be right in the heart of the rainforest.
South side of Basse-Terre
With this option, you will discover the different cultures around Petit-Bourg and Goyave. You'll visit the Longueteau or Montebello distillery. The oldest distilleries of the island. Photo stop at the Shangyan Indian Temple. You will then discover the Kassaverie (with tastings!). For lunch, a meal in a traditional restaurant will be served. In the afternoon, we'll drive to the Carbet Falls, very famous. At 110 metres high, they are the largest falls on the island. You will take a 20 minute walk in the rainforest inside the National Park. In the middle of the afternoon, a refreshing swim in the Paradise Pool will be very pleasant.The day will conclude at around 5pm
