Fausto made us feel so relaxed he explained everything and the horses were beautiful I rode Morrow. Excellently for people that have never rode before. The beach was breathtaking and we stopped and purchased fresh coconut 🥥 for just $2! Have to say that my expectations were exceeded. Fausto was fantastic, took the time to learn everyone's name, and ensured my daughter (the youngest in the group that rode) felt comfortable riding. Unlike most every other tour that will nickel and dime you, it was much appreciated to not feel pressured into buying add-ons. Fausto even offered to take any pictures I wanted with my own camera. I'd highly recommend this tour!

Really enjoyed this, I am a massive fan of riding on the beach and can ride. Yes the area has a lot of debris but this was due to a hurricane and construction work going on. It has nothing to do with the people that organise this. Fagusto was a great leader and I was fortunate to ride caramello so managed a few canters and gallops on the beach. The rest of the horses had novices on and went at a slower pace. The views were great especially where the lake met the sea. Great value for money. The horses were in great shape and in the shade saddled up when we arrived. I would definitely recommend long pants or leggings especially with it being hot and you may find it uncomfortable in the saddle if you’re not used to it.

Three adults and three kids (7-10 years old) LOVED this! Pickup was on time, communication and coordination was ideal. Arrive, and hop on the horse. Some of us experienced, one first timer. Two vaqueros took us out, and it was great. One to lead, and the other was at the rear, but would gallop up to fix any issues (crowding, getting off the path). Two hours of riding mostly on the beach, this is the best horse back riding excursion I have ever taken. There is a stop mid way, a clearing and a man cutting coconuts for $2. At the end, they want you to buy stuff but it’s low pressure, and no one was put off by it.
Apply sunscreen beforehand because you arrive and go immediately. Long pants not needed, and it’s hot. I recommend shoes, but you will get splashed as you ride through the looking waves, so wear older shoes.
Tip big!! This is impossibly inexpensive.

My wife and I are from Texas and were lured in by the dreamy description of "paradisiacal beaches," "exuberant vegetation," and the promise of a "relaxing and romantic" horseback ride along the seashore. What we got, however, was an experience we hope to forget—though my legs, with their 67 sand mite bites, might not let me.
Let's start with those "paradisiacal beaches." If your idea of paradise involves beaches littered with trash and driftwood that looks like it’s been marooned since the Jurassic era, guards walking around with sawed-off shotguns, then you’re in for a treat. The horses, possibly sensing the chaos around them, decided it would be safer to stick together like a herd of oversized, hairy sheep. So, forget about a peaceful ride by the ocean—it was more like a horsey traffic jam with legs being smashed!
Now, the tour guides. We had one guide who spoke broken English, but he was hanging out at the back, maybe rethinking his life choices. The guide at the front? Not a word of English. So, no delightful explanations about the vegetation or the "true speculum" of the river. We just got to enjoy the scenery in blissful silence, with no clue what we were actually looking at.
When I asked about the “promised photo oops”, the guy just gave me a bewildered look and shook his head like I’d asked him to explain quantum physics. So, no pictures to remember the moment—probably for the best since it’s one I’d rather forget!
When it came time for us to return the horses, we thought, what about the advertised galloping, so we had to ask if we could even do it, and then we galloped a whole 50 feet! The highlight? My wife's horse decided to jump over a giant 5’ round wooden log, which was probably the coolest and most terrifying part of the whole ride.
As for the end of the river where we were supposed to marvel at nature? Nothing. No talk about the flora, no details, just a hot, sad coconut water wheel barrow. And did I mention the sand mites? This tiny area was littered with sand mites and we couldn’t get out of there quick enough! We all ran back to our horses within minutes but nothing says "safety" like trying to navigate through a herd of restless horses in a space where you could barely swing a lasso.
In summary, this tour was not the relaxing, romantic ride of our dreams. It was more like a chaotic group ride on a trash-strewn beach with some very confused horses. Simply unforgettable? Sure, but not in the way we imagined!

- The reservation and purchase of the voucher = 5/5
- The driver who picked us up = 5/5. Professional, good driving skills, conversational
- Upon arriving the at the ranch, we were not greeted, we were showed to horses and we loaded onto them. My concern was that upon multiple times, we told the tour guide we had members in the group who had never rode a house, they never provided an orientation to us, much less, to the new riders. 2/5
- the outgoing trip - was beautiful. The failure here was our tour guide was not a tour guide. There was no interaction with guests. We had an issue with the new horse rider and they couldn’t care. We arrived at the “place where the river meets the ocean” to find as a bed for mosquitos; and the most important thing, the new rider was in shocked, and sweating out of fear. 3/5 (view 5/5)
- upon our return to the ranch (point of departure), the horse that carried the new rider that was in shocked was mistreated by the tour guide. 3/5
- again, a missed opportunity for guide to interact with guests. No interaction. And he mistreated his horse too. 0/5
- At the end, we used the bathroom that had water for the toilet, not for the sink and had no toilet paper. Once the folks realized we were not going to pay $45 for a picture; we were told “if you are not going to purchase anything, leave your van is waiting for you.” 2/5

Everything about this experience was amazing. We got picked up by a very polite and professional driver, his car was spotless and air conditioned.
We got there and we were met by the souvenir shop keeper who reminded us to stop by after riding. Our guide’s name was Fuento and he is absolutely the best guide ever, he new when to lead and when to hold back and let us lead ourselves. He took amazing photos of us, and he was really good company to have. Our horses were Caramello, and Cresento, beautiful horses! Fuento deserves a raise, and huge commission from his boss because he is the reason the experience was amazing.
At the end we stopped by the souvenir shop, picked up a bunch of stuff and bargained with the price from $110 to $55!
I would highly recommend this experience, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I had such a fun experience riding on the beach with Rancho El Diferente and our guide Friendly that we decided to book a second, longer ride with them! It was a fun, authentic experience and I'm happy they provided helmets. Our guide accommodated different riding abilities and experiences in our group. Tip: bring a few bucks to purchase a coconut on the beach!
We also did the Mountain Ride with Rancho El Diferente (booked through their website) and enjoyed that too. It's definitely for comfortable riders (4 hours) and you see the city, mountains, and ride back to the beach. Riding through the city we encountered dogs, motor bikes, cars, etc. so make sure you are comfortable riding in that setting for a portion of the ride! We really enjoyed both of our experiences!!

It's definitely for comfortable riders (4 hours) and you see the city, mountains, and ride back to the beach. Fausto did a great job as our guide - my husband and I were the only two. He was quiet, but answered questions and spoke English well. He took pics of us on our camera. The water was beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the ride very much. The horses were healthy and responsive. There were no helmets - this didn't bother us, but be aware if this matters to you. We appreciated the experience and were glad we did it.
We had a few issues. : 1) The trip includes transportation but we didn't receive a helpful notice of pick up time. I expected a text (preferably) or email the day before. When we didn't get anything, I assumed the pick up was 9 am, the time we signed up for. We got a frustrated call from driver at 8:20 wondering where we were. That afternoon, I found an email from the company, sent at 8:40 the day of, telling us the driver would be there at 8:30 (!). 2) Bring hand sanitizer!!! The bathroom had no running water, towels or soap. 3) The beach (Uvero Alto) was narrow and there was a fair amount of trash and debris washed up on the beach. We focused instead on the beautiful waves and quiet.

My kids, 5, 10, and 15 along with a few adult friends joined me on this experience. The horses were well cared for. The guide gave me an option to let my 5 year old ride alone, with me, or with him which was nice. You get a very simple instruction on guiding the horse, so if you’ve never ridden one before, you may want to get further instructions on what to do prior. The guide will take photos at the beginning for purchase afterwards, and also stops in the middle of the ride to take photos on your personal phone, which is nice. The views are wonderful, however we were all a little disappointed at how polluted the beach was. There’s a small gift shop at the end, but they only take cash. The driver that picked us up from the hotel and drove back would not turn up the a/c, even after we asked. This was also disappointing because we were riding for several hours in the hot sun.

I was not able to make it the original day and contacted them in advance to modify this & arrange to go the next day instead. They have terrible customer service, took forever to respond back & they do not understand english nor spanish. I have been waiting all day after mumtiple messages just to know if they can take me tomorrow. I am so disappointed about their service and lack of support.

Hello Brother José Iñigue You made a reservation and after the transportation was there at your hotel, you didn't get on, right? What did you do and postpone the day and we agreed that you were going to go the next day at the same time after sending 18 messages to the platform.

How do you know what time to be ready to be picked up from your hotel?

The company will let you know when you select a pick up point, make sure you leave your phone number as they can contact you on the day also.
My collection arrived 15 minutes early and I have read this on another review so just make sure to be ready.

If you book a horseback riding excursion, they will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. As for going there with a rental car, my only sugestion is when you book your excursion, it will give you an option of your own vehicle or something similar to that. That's when you will get the directions.

Water shoes and Sneakers. Shorts are good and some women wore bathing suits. Anything tough and can get wet is good.
