After meeting your local guide at your hotel pickup, set off on a 2-hour walking tour of Bridgetown. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest city in Barbados. Start the tour with a stop at St Michael's Cathedral, which dates form the 17th century. Visit the Bridgetown Synagogue, built in 1654, before moving on to see the soaring ceilings and the impressive clock tower of the Georgian-style St Mary's Church.
Explore Queen's Park, home to a famous baobob tree, one of the island's largest. Stroll over to National Heroes Square to see the statue of hero Lord Horatio Nelson. The square features monuments honoring ten Bajan heroes, including anti-slavery leaders and sports stars. Venture to the north side of the square to view the Barbadian Parliament Buildings.
At the conclusion of your tour, enjoy lunch, drinks and the chance to ask your guide any remaining questions about Bridgetown or the island of Barbados. Peruse the downtown shops for souvenirs and curiosities before being dropped off back at your hotel.
