- AlaskaMomofTwo0 contributionsVery enjoyable experienceThis was an amazing excursion for our multigenerational family of 6. The kids were fascinated with the plentiful and colorful fish seen through their underwater windows and we adults were amazed at the shipwreck site. A short ride to the dock where we boarded a small ferry to take us to the mini sub. Easy boarding and a few stairs down into the sub itself. Our ages ranged from 6 -81 years. Nice commentary and a very enjoyable experience.Written 14 January 2025

- JustinandAli0 contributionsThe Ultimate Aruba ‘Shake-n-Bake’ Tour!My wife and I took the off-road tour as we love adventure and it sounded fun. We had never been to Aruba before and this tour was a fantastic half-day intro. We arrived on a cruise ship and this tour still gave us time to do other things after our tour. Our tour guide ‘Jeyson’ was funny and informative, he had fresh cold water for everyone and made the tour all the more fun and interesting. Aruba is beautiful and this tour is great for an intro that shows you more than just the main beaches. Make sure you are physically able and okay with some bumpy sections.Written 13 January 2025
- tlc818180 contributionsUpset and disgruntledTransportation to the resort was fine. The return trip not so much. We were told the shuttle would come at 12:25. We were checking out when we saw the bus arrive. No one exited the bus to confirm our pick up and they just left without us. We had to pay additional fee to take a taxi back to airport because they refused to return for us. My advice, take a taxi and skip the hassle of the big bus. What a waste of our time and money.Written 13 January 2025
- Crazy4Happy0 contributionsLove the sunset cruise! We always have an amazing time on the Sunset Cruise and take it EVERY time we are in Aruba. The crew is awesome and the Aruban sunsets are amazing. We recommend this cruise to anyone visiting the island, it doesn't disappoint. We usually continue the fun at Bugaloe's afterwards (Pier where the catamaran is docked). Big shout out to Cesar and crew, they are amazing.Written 12 January 2025

ayson and Dimitri, two exceptional guides, stand out among the rest when it comes to exploring islands. They not only provided a great deal of enjoyment but also imparted valuable knowledge during our island adventure. I must give special recognition to Dimitri, as he went above and beyond to ensure my 10-year-old was captivated by the abundance of fish while snorkeling. He made sure she had a memorable experience with hundreds of fish swimming around her.
Now, let's dive into the thrilling expedition, which is absolutely worth the investment. People of all ages, from the young to the elderly, will thoroughly enjoy it. This experience allows you to witness a diverse array of attractions on the island and learn about the country you're visiting. You'll have the opportunity to engage with locals, support local vendors, savor the unique spectacle of glass blowing during lunch, visit a donkey preserve (which my daughter adored), and, of course, indulge in snorkeling at the magnificent Baby Beach in Aruba.
I highly recommend bringing cash to purchase distinctive gifts from local vendors and enjoy delightful alcoholic beverages along the way. However, be mindful not to spend it all, as you won't want to forget to show appreciation to your extraordinary guides through tipping.
Depalm, an outstanding company with exceptional employees, has continuously exceeded our expectations during the three excursions we've taken with them. Additionally, I encourage you to explore their other offerings, such as the Depalm Island and sunset cruise, which were equally remarkable.
What sets Depalm apart is their commitment to giving back to the local community through yearly donations to the non-profit donkey preserve.

This was unexpectedly fun, educational and beautiful. We decided on the shorter 4 hour Off Road Safari since we had kids around the age of 10 which turned out to be perfect. Our tour guide Mac took time to teach us about life, history and agriculture. Overall, it was fun for all ages. Fair warning: it was raining on and off and that can be challenging but we didn’t mind. It made it even more of an adventure. It is a super bumpy ride. Take the into consideration if you have any physical issues or older in age. We can’t wait to do this again! My son said it was the #1 thing we did while in Aruba. He said it was EPIC. Ranked it higher than water sports! Thanks Mac!

We spent an amazing day today with Mac and Shonn on our baby beach off road Safari full day. I never write a review, but it was the best tour we have ever had on any island. We have been to Hawaii, Turks, Bahamas etc and we would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone who visits aruba! The day started with us being picked up at our resort the Marriot Stellaris Resort and casino. We were the last pickup but Mac saved us the best seat the front row because we had children. Our daughters ages 9 and 11 felt comfortable in between my husband and I. They loved sitting up front and laughed the entire time. They enjoyed Mac’s jokes and loved his fun driving. Mac was so informative and taught us so much about Aruba. Mac took awesome pictures of us at the lighthouse. Mac made sure we were happy, comfortable, and safe. He made the entire trip so fun. Shonn was in the other van, but was great too. We appreciated Shonn for showing us the fish and bringing bread so we could see the fish. My girls enjoyed it so much they saw huge fish. Shonn was great at keeping us all safe in the water and pointing out where the fish were. We loved every stop! Loved seeing the Murano glass exhibit and we were lucky enough to buy the sample made that day! We enjoyed the lunch also everyone was happy with their meals: chicken wrap, pizza, cheeseburger, and wings. It was such a nice, calm, relaxing lunch. The girls also really loved the donkey sanctuary or Visiting macs family haha jk! We were able to comb and feed the donkeys. Shonn was great at leading us into the sanctuary and directing the donkey to clear the path. I can’t say anything bad about this trip at all. We loved the natural bridge and learned about the dangerous areas. I’ll never forget the stories and where not to stand and why. Thank you to Mac and Shonn for a 10 star day, forget 5!!! It was memorable for me and my family. When we were coming back I was sad it was over. I enjoyed learning about the island and didn’t feel like I wanted the tour to end at any point. The tour was interactive, fun, relaxing, and exciting for all ages. I will definitely return and take this tour. You cannot go wrong with De Palm tours. Thank you Aruba!! We will be back!!

This was not the same lovely tour we took 4 years ago through another company! All 6 of us were horrified! Our driver parked on an incline at the lighthouse and forgot to set the brakes. We started rolling down the hill until another Jeep pulled in front to stop us. At the natural pool one of the 4 jeeps backed up and hit the other Jeep, full of people. The first 4 hours were exhausting because the drivers’ goals were to make it the most jolting, spine smashing ride possible. For 4 miserable hours we were holding on to metal bars to prevent being thrown. It was the worst part of vacation this time, but 4 years ago it was the best day ever! Instead of taking us to a quaint Aruban restaurant like last time, we were taken to a hectic cafeteria where we were jockeying for food in line and tables to sit down. I will never recommend this again to people. They no longer stop at the ostrich farm or wild donkey reserve. Mostly drive-by sightseeing. No pleasure to be had. After the 6 of us spent almost $1000 for this, the crew asked for tips which made us feel obligated to give. Here’s my tip- don’t take this tour!

When one books a tour, one hopes the other guests will be fun. And when things go bad, you find out what people are really like.
Lucky for us, our fellow guests (the four not-original Jersey Girls) were a lot of fun when the weather went bad. About 15 minutes into our trip we ran into torrential rains and gale force winds. You are riding on top of a 9 passenger truck with just a canvas tarp overhead. The wind whipped rain, plus the speed of the truck, hurt as it hit us in the face. We were totally unprotected by the onslaught.
Our driver/guide, Mac, pulled over in the lee of a building to give us some protection. All six of us in the tour laughed it off as a memorable trip. We got hit by rain and wind a few more times but were better prepared to hold towels in front of us to avoid some of the pain.
The tour itself was quite good. We learned a lot. Mac was a good guide and did his best. He treated us to an explanation of cashews and their fruit that was totally new to me. The views of Black Rock Beach and the cavern tours were worth the early pain. Mac was exceptionally good showing us around the cavern. None of us were particularly thrilled with the donkey farm. Lunch, at a local restaurant, was adequate. We then headed to Baby Beach. The weather gods were against us again as we were literally blown of the beach twice.
I know a tour company cannot schedule the weather. But they could have offered some protection from the elements or, as the weather was forecasted to be bad, offered us a trip on an enclosed bus. We would have appreciated a deeper explanation of the National Park.
The guide book did say the tour was rough but it was much tougher than we expected.

After reading positive reviews, decided to get the full day tour of all parts of Aruba with DePalm Tours. We were picked up and returned to our hotel by Mac. It’s good to sit in the front row or middle, as the 3rd row is the most bumpy! All seats incur very warm but “HAIR-RAISING” wind. Mac was personable and knowledgeable about his home!! He drove us throughout the neighborhoods and stopped to explain some history, and the way of life of the young and old. The stop at the Murano Glass Blowing exhibit was impressive. The “off-road” bumpy ride through Arikok National Park was awesome with views of the ocean and black rock beach. The donkey farm was a fun stop, as you could feed them and hear about this sanctuary dedicated to helping preserve them. Lunch stop is a nice time to visit with your companions. At the end of the tour, you have an hour to wade through the clear waters of Baby Beach. There is a restaurant/bar there too. Be sure to ask your tour guide why this area is called Baby Beach! Enjoy your day with Mac.

My family and I had a wonderful time in Aruba. One of the highlights was the Baby Beach Safari. Thanks to Mac for being an outstanding guide. He provided outstanding service, was friendly, courteous, and gave detailed context at the historical background at each stop. I will highly recommend any visitor taking the trip and you will be lucky if Mac is also your tour guide.

We had a lot of fun on this tour. MAC was a great guide who shared a lot of information about where we were visiting and the island in general. If he missed a bump on the way in, he made sure he found it on the way out. The lunch stop was perfect. It had something for everyone's taste. You get to see a part of the island not easily visited and in great contrast to the resort areas.

Mac from De Palm Tours Aruba was my tour guide for Baby Beach Off-Road Safari. Im writing this review mainly because Mac our guide did an outstanding job making sure all of the guests were having a good time and always made us laugh and shared many knowledgeable information about Aruba with us. Mac showed us how to take fun pics at the lighthouse, took pictures for us, and made extra short stops along the way to make our trip even better! If you want a memorable fun vacation I HIGHLY recommend you to book with Mac!

We were happy to have someone else drive us all round Aruba, especially on hard to drive roads. Even so, we would have liked it better if our guide could have narrated much of the trip and explained customs and neighborhood communities we passed through. At the first stop, the guide mentioned that the lighthouse took too long because it was done on "Aruba time". In fact, a posted sign explains that it took a long time for France to send over needed materials and the World War also created a major obstacle to completing the project. It appeared at times that the guides were more interested in getting participants to applaud and cheer to get the attention of passersby to perhaps enroll in the tour as well. A speaker system was not present on the jeep, so while in motion, the guide (also the driver) was tucked away behind a glass enclosed cabin, making him inaccessible for questions and narration of any kind.
Because of the extremely rough terrain, our legs hurt for several days afterwards (both young and older family members) from all the extreme bouncing around as we held on to the bar in front of us with white knuckles on the jeep for long distances between certain stops.
In addition to the bumpy ride, the wind totally whipped through our hair. this was both a blessing and a curse - it cooled us down and added to the exhilaration feeling the speed, but it also took a little while to adjust to experience and at times coated everything in its path with dust blown around from the jeep in front of us. Luckily the driver was able to at times steer out of its path. Sometimes the smoky dust trailed so much behind the jeep we followed that you couldn't even see the jeep at all. We also smelled the gas fumes as we drove around.
I wish we could have seen more of the murals in San Nicholas - we only saw a few as the jeep moved to its next destination. While most sites we visited were free, the tour provided more than ample time to explore (and recover from the bouncy, dusty jeep ride) with lots of cold water refills and bathroom breaks.
Lunch was tasty and ample, with a choice of freshly prepared cheeseburgers, BBQ chicken wraps, chicken fingers, Caesar salad, each choice with water and French fries.
My favorite stop (the last) was at Baby Beach where we snorkeled to see lots of tropical fish. The tour provided the mask and snorkel tube but no flippers, but we did fine floating effortlessly with the high salt content in the water.

Small amount of walking, and you can just enjoy the beach or visit the beach bar/Resturant. You must be able to climb up into the high rider 4x4 and be able to handle very a bumpy ride.
