GREAT KAYAK RENTAL TO SEA GLASS ISLAND! PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!
We were looking to go to sea glass island and not go with a tour. I emailed Clear kayak prior to arriving in Aruba and discussed a 2 person kayak for 3 hrs. There was no problem! The owner communicated through WhatsApp with me when we arrived. He answered all of my questions and met us at Zeerovers and then we followed him to launch the kayak! He then met us at the launch area to retrieve the kayak! Such a wonderful time we had! Do not hesitate to book a private kayak and go out on your own m. If you’re worried to go alone, book one of his tours! Great memories were made today!

Don't waste your time or money, not worth it!
This is a waste of time, very unprofessional, the tour was led by a 17 year old who should have been in school. To start the kayak is not a glass bottom boat, it is plexiglass and very scratched so you cannot view anything. When we met the "guide" he didn't even look to see that we were the ones scheduled for the tour nor did we have to sign a waiver. We got into an old pick-up truck and we're taken to a site to start the tour, which didn't have working seat belts. We saw the sea turtles but then after that the guide was on the phone constantly, I think trying to figure out where to go next. We sat in the boat for long periods wondering why we were not going anywhere. The trip was supposed to last 60-90 min bet we were out for less than 60 min and much of the time was spent just sitting and not paddling. Don't waste your money.

Fun morning paddle in beautiful waters
We thoroughly enjoyed our morning kayaking trip with this company. They were responsive in advance of our outing and met us on time at the start point in Mangel Halto. The two young men who accompanied us (JT? and Rio) were both competent and relaxed in Aruban style! My husband and I were in one kayak, and were joined by another couple and the guides in two other kayaks. We appreciated that we didn’t have to all stay together, but the guides were always watching and advising if we went too far out into the sea. The colors of the water changed as we paddled and it was a treat to see the variety. We paddled with the current, so it wasn’t strenuous, but we played around, paddling against the current and then getting a ride! We pulled off into a cove and looked at the jellyfish and shells on the sea floor. They told us some of the history of the area, including the importance of the mangroves for protecting the island ecosystem. As promised, our guides treated us to nice fruit, iced tea and water after the paddle and transported us back at the place where we started. We’re glad we did it!

Nice tour and a top guide
Today we had a very nice and enjoyable (private) tour. The water was calm and allowed for some nice kayaking. You can see everything clearly through the glass bottom. Friendly guide JD, he tells you about everything you see and has good tips about the entire island. A great start to the day, highly recommended.

      Clear bottom kayak Tour
Lovely day out on the water! Beautiful clear blue waters with great views of lots of fish and also some sea turtles! My guide, JD, was excellent , and have lots of information about the fish, coral, mangroves, and some history of the island. The owner, Zenon, was also wonderful and also arranged transport for me as I did not have a car. A great day!

Fun experience kayaking along the Aruban coastline
My son and I did the tour. Neither of us had kayaked before. Our guides JD and Darwin showed us the ropes. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would love to go on another tour with Clear Kayak.

Sadly, we didn't get what we paid for....
I don't like writing negative reviews, but in this case I'll make an exception. First, though, let me say that JD and Eli were both friendly and knowledgeable. However: We booked the tour for April 13, paid, showed up early, and no one came to meet us. With some difficulty, we managed to contact the company and were told they'd overbooked and so had cancelled us; they said they'd sent us a message a day ahead, but we never received any such message. They offered to take us out on April 14 or refund our money, and we changed some other plans in order to go on April 14. The tour is titled "Glass Bottom Kayak Tour through the Mangrove Forest." We did not, however, go through the mangrove forest. Instead, we were out in the open ocean, and the gunwales of our kayak were so low that we shipped a lot of water. We could SEE mangroves in the distance, and for about 15 minutes we were in a calm cove alongside the mangroves, but we never went "through the ... forest." In fact, I asked about channels into the forest and was told that there aren't any. The tour description says that "fruit and water" will be provided. They weren't. (We were offered iced tea at the end, and it hit the spot. But no fruit.) The description also says that the tour lasts "90-120 minutes," but we were out for a little less than an hour. I'll mention but not complain about the facts that the company pickup that took us to the put-in spot broke down and that we saw zero fish through the plexiglass (not glass) bottom of the kayak. Vehicles sometimes break down, and fish don't wait around for us to come look at them; we know that. We don't really even care about the fruit. But a tour that bills itsef as going "through the mangrove forest" and lasting "90-120 minutes" really ought to actually GO through the mangrove forest and LAST 90-120 minutes, shouldn't it?!

Beautiful S.W. Aruba, both above and below the water
Beautiful day to be out on the water around Mangel Halto Beach in a glass bottom kayak. Our guides D.J. and Elijah were energetic and motivated to show us a good time and that they did. They pointed out numerous coral formations, jellyfish, and local plant life. We especially enjoyed seeing numerous sea turtles during this excursion. We spent little time within the Mangroves (might want to change the tour title), but this did not detract from the outing. Take time to see how beautiful the SouthWest coast of the island is by joining this team for the glass bottom kayak excursion.

      Nice time
We had a lovely time on the tour. My husband saw a huge moray eel and it was very cool to be able to look through the bottom of the kayak and see everything so clearly underwater.

      Lots of Fun
OK so the the glass bottom part of the trip is actually not too effective but aside from that this trip is a lot of fun. My wife and I have a bit of flat water kayak experience but being out on the open water is very different! However our two young guides gave us very clear instructions and made sure we were always in the correct part of the water to ensure we were riding the waves at the right time and steering away from the waves when we needed to. I can't remember the names of the two guides but they were both exceptionally friendly, fun to converse. They were knowledgeable young men and a credit to the tour company. The trip starts at Mangel Halton and the guides then take you in a vehicle a couple of miles down the road to launch the kayaks. You then follow the waves down the coast eventually landing back at the meeting point. In all we were probably on the water for just under 90 minutes which was a good length of time. Animal wise, we saw Bob the pelican out on the trip, some giant sea turtles and a few smaller fish. You can't help but enjoy kayaking in such a beautiful location. I highly recommend this trip, not so much for the glass bottom element but more for the thrill of being out on the open ocean and the opportunity to see Aruba from another view point.

      A great trip!!
We had an amazing trip led by our two tour guides, Lee and JD. They both are clearly very passionate about their jobs and the island- they were both so easy to talk to and we learned so much! The water was a bit rough today, however our guides knew how to handle and travel with the waves- I felt completely safe at all times. The view from the kayaks was beautiful and we also saw sea turtles, too! After our trip we were served ice cold water and fruit which I thought was extremely thoughtful. Would love to come back and try the evening tour at my next trip to Aruba! Thank you, JD and Lee!!

A Lot of Fun with Friendly & Knowledgeable Guides
My husband & I went on this trip today and we had a great time! The tour offers transportation to the launch site, but we didn't know that and we took a taxi there. The two young men that guided the tour were fantastic! They were very friendly and took lots of pictures of everyone and airdropped them to us all at the end (for free btw). It was a very fun little trip and everyone, 8 of us total, seemed to really enjoy themselves. I was very impressed with these two young men and they were so kind to actually drive me & my husband back to our resort, which was pretty far. They don't ask for tips like some tour guides do, but I STRONGLY suggest that everyone tips these guys. It's a lot of hard work loading and unloading all of those kayaks and they put forth a lot of effort educating everyone about the mangroves and taking pictures and getting to know everyone on a one on one basis. They were honestly the two best tour guides that we've ever had, hands down! I think I'm going to spell the one young man's name wrong, but it was Zunyek Lee & the other young man was named Jeandrick - both outstanding!!! The owner, who's name started with a Z (sorry I can't remember) is also very nice. the tour ended with refreshment s & fruit. Please note, there is no bathroom at the final destination, but I believe there is a bathroom located near the launch site. After the tour the owner dropped off four people at their hotels and Zunyek & Jeandrick dropped off another couple back at the launch site where they parked their car and then drove me & my husband all the way back to our resort. Great tour, fantastic people - I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone visiting Aruba!

We did the night clear kayak tour. They offered hotel pickup and drop off for $40 cash. The trip is from a fairly remote beach in a residential area so trying to get a taxi might be challenging so I definitely recommend the transfer service. There was only one other couple and two guides. We kayaked about a mile to a partially submerged wreck. There were lots of fish to see under the kayak. Then LED lights were placed in our kayak and we returned to the starting point. It was a beautiful night and there were some small fish attracted to the light. The only downside was that I got nauseous from the swells and looking down so I recommend if you are prone to seasickness that you take some medication before.

Dear Kayaker, first of all we are sorrt to hear you got sick on the trip. You are right that people who are prone to seasickness might think about taking medication before. Also helps not to keep looking through the glass, which magnifies the underwater view but also the seasickness level. We are happy that despite this you enjoyed your tour. THANK YOU foe choosing a local experience! See you back soon on our Island.

JD from Clear Kayak was AWESOME on our Honeymoon Night-time Kayak Tour! I had no problem keeping up with him but he still took the time to show us all of cool sights and move a comfortable pace, nevermind the amazing photos he took of us along the way! The sunset during the kayaking was also beautiful. The kayaking was fun but JD was what made the trip unforgettable! I highly recommend Clear Kayak and especially JD!!

We brought a group of 20, over the course of two nights, to enjoy the Glass bottom boat night tour. Zenon organized our trip and had the best crew there to accommodate us. The trip started off peaceful as we watched the gorgeous sunset over the southern Caribbean Sea. The crew jumped out of their kayaks to point out starfish and other sea critters as we paddled toward the Antilla ship wreck. As the sky grew darker, the fish grew happier and more playful and started jumping for joy when they saw our white lights in the water. They didn't just jump out of the water though, they actually jumped into our boat. OMG, our voices were soar from laughing so hard. After the experience, the team served us a mini buffet of fruit and drinks. The fond fond memories of that night will last a lifetime! THANKS so much, Zenon!!

This expensive tour was knowingly misrepresented. (Ad copy in photos.) There were no "amazing views," "vibrant coral reefs" or fish let alone "neon hued" ones. While you can't guarantee fish will show up, coral reefs stay where they are. There was never an intention of actually "gliding over vibrant beds of coral."

I began to wonder why we were kayaking in an area of swimmers and tour party boats (along with their blaring music to create atmosphere) and asked our guide what we were doing in the one of the most popular areas of Aruba looking for fish. He said the tour was actually a "sunset tour," not a nature tour. That was not what was advertised.

We were completely misled. I booked this to see the "underwater world." Why even bother with crystal bottom boats? That was just a way to help sell the lie about the wonders that awaited. The lights were a couple square boxes thrown in the boat that barely made a difference - not that it mattered.

We were the only people on the tour and felt sorry for the guides. Not only did we pay $160, we gave an extremely healthy tip because we aren't the kind of jerks the owner of this company is.

Our family went on the night tour expecting to see fish, as noted in the description. During the entire two hour trip, we saw one group of fish that looked like minnows, which lasted for about five minutes. At the end of the trip, a guide was asked about the lack of fish and he stated the recent rain had affected it. So, perhaps we were just unlucky but it was strange no one brought it up. This trip was great exercise and a fun new way to kayak and see the sunset. You should expect to be paddling for the majority of the trip. We did not get any form of guided tour as in the description, the guides did not even introduce themselves. We were not offered any fruit or water as stated. We made the best of it so I would not say we were sorry we did it, just not as expected.

Loved just about every aspect of this. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable - I felt like I got to know a little bit about the culture and the island from my discussions and interactions with them. In addition to a gorgeous sunset, we picked up a starfish, gazed at the leaping fluorescent little fish and were treated to an impromptu fireworks show on our return to Arashi Beach. Great way to spend the sunset hours.

This was given to us as a gift. Let
me start by saying we had a blast. Our tour guides were fantastic. They were very passionate about their island, conservation of the land and committed to evolving economic change. We did not see any fish and because of the weather our route had to be re routed. We were done prior to sunset as well. However, it didn’t damper our time. The crew was so kind that they waited for our taxi to pick us up after the trip to make sure we were safe and that we actually got picked up. When booking, here was some info that I was looking for And thought may be helpful to others.
    1. We came from the low rise section via taxi. If you are doing the same, it’s probably worth renting a car for the day. That way you can bring towels and the cost was nearly the same, if not less. Taxi ride from low rise cost us 30 plus tip each way and taxi is about 60/day. That being said, the taxi drivers are fantastic and I also like supporting them. #2 what to bring. I run cold.... all the time... and thought I would need a rash guard. Although we got very wet, the work of paddling kept me warm and it wasn’t needed. We brought bug spray, our phones and cash. They will hold these items for you in wet bags. They offer to take lots of photos for you. #3. No toilets are available post arrival so arrive prepared. #4 wear comfortable shoes that can get wet and bathing suit under whatever else you decide to wear because you will get wet. #5 all level of kayakers are welcome. In closing, this is well worth a break from sitting on the beach.
