About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 912traciem0 contributionsGreat day, just as advertised! We had a great time! The crew was amazing and took such good care of us. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, always mindful that everyone was enjoying themselves.Written 12 February 2025
- steve b0 contributionsRound island boat trip, with Stingray CityExcellent excursion around the island. Booking very smooth. Met by boat at Dickenson Bay. On board introduced to David the skipper, mark and Brendon the crew. Today was an extreme day, the wind was up and the waves were awesome. The competence of the team was excellent. The boat was handled brilliantly. Told us the history of the islands and pointed out points of interest as we went around. First stop the Stingray City, where we swam with wild stingrays. Stopped off to snorkel at various locations, ate lunch on remote beach, all drinks and food provided, believe me you didn’t go short. Lunch was chicken, pasta and salad, followed by banana bread all simple but tasty. After last stop rum punch was introduced, good rum punch and plenty of it. Then finished the circumnavigation of Antigua and dropped off back where we started. A full day of extreme fun and learning, plus added bonus of copious rum punch. I love this Island.Written 12 February 2025
- Paradise664658829220 contributionsGreat dayGreat day with the boys on the boat They we so accommodating and helpful. The information they kept delivering as the boat cruised along was good The banter was really good. Good day had by allWritten 12 February 2025
- Claire D0 contributionsBe prepared to get wet!Fun day with tyresse, rasheen and mark We saw turtles and swam with stingrays and had the opportunity to snorkel on 3 occasions. The lunch provided was really lovely - chicken, pasta and green salad and finished off with some banana bread. They had a good knowledge of the history of the island and key landmarks and explained this in an informative but fun way! Highly recommend, but be prepared to get wet! This is not a gentle cruise…Written 11 February 2025
- O1419CSjennifera0 contributionsWonderful!Absolutely amazing trip! Since I didn’t snorkel I spent a lot more time than I thought I would on boat. Be prepared to go completely in water at one spot. The lunch they provided was wonderful!! Banana bread was the best!!Written 10 February 2025
- frequentraveler670 contributionsThe 5 star rating absolutely well deserved! The 5 star rating that this tour has, is absolutely well deserved! It's worth it every penny. I and my wife had so much fun. Captain Desmond, and crew Lesley and Brandon are real professionals. They know the ocean and the land inside and out, and were very selfless in explaining and talking about their country, islands, sea, history, trivia etc., also in a very eloquent and funny way. Very important, they were taking care of every single person on board or off board, when in water, snorkeling or swimming with stingrays, during lunch break, getting on or off boat etc. Also we were very lucky to experience one of the calmest days on the Atlantic side of the island, and that was a real icing on the cake! All in all, it was unforgettable! Highly recommended!Written 9 February 2025
- N4076HRpauls0 contributionsLots of funA lot of fun! Because of wind, The Atlantic Ocean side of the island had larger waves. The pilot of the boat was a skilled driver. The title of “Extreme” applied today, it was a little scary when the waves blocked the sight of land.Written 3 February 2025
- Y4621YDth0 contributionsBest tour/excursion we have ever taken. We have gone on quite a few cruises and usually do independent excursions. I can say that this is the best excursion we have ever had. The crew is top notch. We took our school aged children (the youngest being 7) and parents (70s) and everyone loved it. The crew was amazing with the kids. The amount of things you get to do on this tour is great and we never felt rushed. I was worried about how "extreme" is was going to be based on other reviews but if you have ever been boating before, this is really no different. My youngest child who was never on a small boat before told me the boat wasn't going "fast enough." They pick you up right at the port and will have you back to the ship in time. This tour is worth every penny. You will not regret it. When we cruise again we want a stop in Antigua so we can do this tour again.Written 2 February 2025
- Laura P0 contributions'Xtreme' tour is 'Xtreme'My husband really enjoyed the tour. The ocean was rough that day so I found it to be more intense than I would have liked. Not that it was in any person's control. The conditions were what they were. We also snorkeled in rough water at the Pillars of Hercules, which is a neat rock formation but not necessarily great snorkelling. Many other places were recommended for snorkelling in Antigua. Lunch was good. Our captain, David, and crew were really great. They shared lots of Interesting Island info as we went. And we saw so many beautiful sights that you can only see by water.Written 2 February 2025
- nathanielm4750 contributionsThrill Ride Tour run by Experts!First, the email communication to book this cruise is simple, straight forward, and timely. Words like "extreme" are used as sales gimmicks. This is the real deal. The tour involved everything from calm waters to large (6-8') swells on the windy Atlantic. The boat seems small for those waves, but the Captain is extremely experienced and an obvious expert! We felt a thrill from the uncertainty in the waves, but never in danger due to his skills! I toured with extended family and two kids (5/6). They enjoyed every part of the trip! The crew is patient, helpful, and generous with the rum punch. They also manage time very well. We had beach time, lunch time, snorkel time, and a educational lesson on the history of the harbor as well as extra tidbits about the island. Nothing felt unduly rushed and we were never bored. I would recommend the tour to anyone between 5 and 100. Lunch was simple but delicious. Prepare for blazing sun, wind, passing showers, and to be splashed often. Leslie, Tyrese, and Rasheed were awesome tour guides and will ensure you are back well in time for your cruise ship schedule.Written 31 January 2025
- B2956KXjoannal0 contributions10/10 Experience All Round!!Amazing tour around the island with Leslie, Rasheem & Tyreece! They brought amazing energy to the boat and were very informative about the island. My favourite parts were Stingray City where I held a stingray (very scared before to do this but the park ranger explained everything very well and the stingray were super friendly!) and rum punch at the beach. We learned a lot about Antigua’s history along the way. Thanks so much to the team!Written 31 January 2025
- G4117YTbrittanys0 contributionsAmazing 10/10We had an amazing time on this trip with staff and other guest. A full tour other the island on a boat filled with history of the island and local knowledge, lunch was amazing so thank you to the staff! I was hesitant of holding a ray but the guys were awesome and told us how to hold it and relax us, I’m glad I did get a picture in the end because it’s a must do !!Written 31 January 2025
- lindasS3115GY0 contributionsAntigua Xtreme CircumnavigationWonderful way to see the entire island, points of interest, and learn some of the history. Rasheem, Tyreece, and Brendan were outstanding hosts! Very fun and relaxing excursion. Worth every cent!Written 29 January 2025
- bradsL4842QS0 contributionsI’d go Again!!‘When you get on the boat, you’re like Family’ Rasheem is a weird Uncle; Tyrese is like a really cool cousin while Brandon; is making us laugh and doing the work! Really enjoyed the experience however; the Atlantic portion is not for faint of heart however; felt very safe! Great information and history shared in an incredibly fun environment! Wanted to stay on the boat and ‘hang’ with this crew! Well worth the fee!Written 28 January 2025
- Cairngorm740 contributionsBrilliant day 🤩Fantastic day out and well entertained by the crew captain David, Mark and Tyreen. Sailed around the whole island, visited some great beaches and swam with the stingrays. Lunch on one of the beaches was delicious, as was the rum punch. The historic talk about Nelson’s Dockyard very interesting and educational. Definitely worth every penny.Written 28 January 2025

We rented a half day private charter to go snorkeling and tour around some of Antigua's fun water spots. We were a party of 14 that included my 91 year old mother and my 15 month old granddaughter! From my first email making the arrangements for this tour to when the crew dropped us off after our day on the ocean they could not have been more helpful or friendly. Every time I called or emailed I received a quick response. The email directions preparing us for our day were spot on and we found the boat pick up spot very easily. And their pricing was very reasonable and their boat in very good shape!
But what I really want to highlight is the 3 man crew we had headed by Captain David along with his crew Tyrese and Adino. This crew could not have been more helpful(try getting a 91 yr old woman in the water to snorkel!) or more fun! They shared so much about their beautiful island with us during our cruise, they were very focused on our safety and boy did we laugh! It was a PERFECT day. If you want to tour the the Island via a boat this is the company to use ! Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful day!

This is a fabulous island tour full of information, adventure and old fashioned fun. We were collected promptly from jolly harbour and then travelled along the coast picking up a few other guests . The boat was in excellent condition and the crew were very experienced, knowledgeable and fun. There were about 22 of us with plenty of space to sit in sun or shade ( our day was a bit stormy ) I must clarify that the crew were very particular in giving us exact information regarding the day’s itinerary. They were also clear as to the options regarding each activity.
My hubby and I loved the adventure at Hells gate , there was the choice of chilling on the boat, snorkelling near the boat or doing the cave walk . The cave walk was amazing and I’d defo recommend doing it.
We had a fabulous lunch, two snorkel stops and rum punch when all the activities were complete . Our three crew were wonderful and worked as a great team . We were glad to be the last to get dropped off as it gave us more time to spend chilling and drinking Rum punch .
Fab value, and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this tour which included several North coast islands. The talks about the local heritage and habitat were extremely informative, but also left enough time to be off the boat for walking on the beach, snorkelling. A very fun day from around 9am to 2:30pm
If you’re staying at Sandals I can recommend booking through Isaac on the beach, who will do a price lower than Sandals 😁

We booked the Eco tour ahead of time, got VERY detailed instructions on where and when to meet and also cost. Paid a $50 deposit and the rest was due in cash on the boat, BUT they would discount that by 10% if we paid cash, excellent we thought.
The day of our cruise ship arrival happened and by then we had made friends with a couple of the ship, so we invited them to come along...guess what? They paid LESS than we did, AFTER we had our so called discount ! That didn't sit well at all with us... Captain David, Bradley and Lesley the crew were excellent though and we tipped them for a good day, but the experience left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth i must admit.

Hold on there a second. If you booked direct with us then it's impossible that anyone paid less than you.
You loved the guys, and enjoyed your day but give a three star review because you were told that you paid more than your friends. Again, this isn't possible.
I am the owner and will go and wait for your email if you would please let me know more details. I think you got bad info from your friends and as a result then gave a 3 star review. Either way, I would like to find out more details so I can figure out what went down. Hope to hear from you. I've been in biz for over 23 years and don't play games with price which is why this is very disturbing to me. Hope to hear from you. Thanks. Eli

Next time we go to Antigua, we will choose a land tour, or just taxi to a beach. The day on the boat in and out of the water was nice enough, but we were disappointed with the snorkeling. Visibility was not great in the deeper places they took us. I was excited to do the "longer" swim / snorkel with our guide, but there just wasn't a whole lot to see. It was more like a swim, with snorkel & fins.
The lunch was good, with our feet in the water. That stop at Great Bird Island was the best part of the trip. Very pretty, and birds everywhere!
They took us to Hell's Gate also, where some chose to hike up and walk across the volcanic rock "bridge". It looks really cool, but it was HOT that day, so we chose to stay in the water.
The crew was nice.
* Be sure to ask everyone around the specified pickup area if they are with Adventure Antigua, so that you don't get left behind. We were in the exact spot they told us to meet, and actually thought we were the only two from our cruise ship on this tour, because nobody else was around. I guess they picked up the other couples a little closer to the cruise ship, and we couldn't see their boat past the two big catamarans parked at the marina. But it all worked out.

This was a great tour but not for the faint of heart or those with mobility challenges. I would also not recommend if you are prone to sea sickness. We walked off the cruise ship down the boardwalk about 5-10 minutes to the meeting point. On board the boat they have you take off your shoes and stow your bags in the hold. They have snorkel equipment and life jackets and water socks but no towels so bring a few. It is also good to bring a quick-dry shirt or possibly a windbreaker. The climb up and down Hells Gate was challenging but short. You may also want to pack bandaids and neosporin since the rocks are very sharp. The guides were fantastic helping us navigate the cave and climbs safely. Hells gate and the boat ride there in choppy seas with lots of spray were both very exciting. Other than that, it was very mellow. We stopped by the mangroves only 5-10 minutes. Then we had lunch/optional shallow snorkel in a secluded cove for an hour. After that there was another chance to snorkel by a reef. We saw several sea turtles from the boat. They saw fish and rays while snorkeling. On the way back they serve rum punch and dessert. They did use reusable plates and forks, but hopefully in future will use reusable cups as well and recycle the cans and bottles. Crew did a great job. Sit on the seats that face backward or the central island seats if you don’t want to get wet. Snorkeling is optional.

We did the Eco Tour and it was fantastic!!! Adino, Arion and Shakimba were our crew and they went above and beyond in every way possible. The boat was a 52" Jet boat so could get closer to the shore for pickup drop off than those with outboards could. It was super comfortable. We went snorkeling twice which was awesome. Some hiked others just relaxed onboard. Drinks were provided as was an excellent lunch onboard. The captain, Adino I believe but if I'm wrong forgive me!) was excellent. He explained all about the biology of the various species of seas turtles found around Antigua. We visited several nice beach areas and reefs. This is one a the best tours I have taken. The group was great the weather excellent. 5 stars is not enough!!!!

I went on the eco tour with my pre-teen and teen, and this boat trip entertained all of us ever single minute! At first, we took in the beautiful north-east coastline of Antigua while riding out to different islands and hearing about the wildlife (including the rich people who have settled Long Island). We then headed to Devil's Bridge where we snorkeled around (rather than hiking up it as some others did). Here we saw, among other magical things, squid swimming in beautiful synchronized motion. Next we rode to Great Bird Island (my kids still tease me for calling it Big Bird Island...) and were fed a delicious lunch. Two of us are veggies and had plenty of choices (pasta, leafy salad, plantains and a green banana salad). We even had a little time to swim here and saw a sea cucumber and a huge hermit crab in a conch. After lunch, we went to the reef off of Great Bird Island and that was simply magical. It would have been nice to spend a bit more time there, because this was the most special spot in terms of snorkeling. There was an option to stay near or on the boat, but the crew offered life jackets to less strong swimmers, so even they were able to experience all the wonder. The crew (Tyrese and Adion - spelling?) were really fun and nice, had constant banter with my 12yo. We loved them! The whole tour was magical, we are so happy we did it. The day flew by and it gave us so many amazing memories. Did I even mention the sea turtles we saw from the boat?

This was my third visit to Antigua and my third time with Adventure Antigua. The first time I took a tour with Adventure Antigua, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well, that first experience was good enough to get me to book two more times. If you are arriving by cruise ship (like I was), you only have to walk a few minutes from the pier and right near the ship to get picked up. This is a top notch company with a top notch crew and boats. The 3 different tours offered by Adventure Antigua offer something for everyone. It’s really nice to get off the ship and not be with an organized excursion with dozens of people. Adventure Antigua keeps the numbers small on each tour so you get personalized service. The crew will literally do anything you ask and they will offer you drinks, etc. during the tour. I have done the Eco tour and the Extreme tour and I can’t say enough about them. Once you experience one of Adventure Antigua’s tours, you’ll be booking more cruises that visit Antigua. Apart from the thrilling and custom built boats, the stops around the island will make your jaw drop as the scenery is nothing short of amazing. I can never get enough of that “Caribbean Blue” color that surrounds the island. If that’s not enough to make your day, you will be served an appetizing lunch on a remote Island where you eat right at the waters edge. We enjoyed watching Sea Turtles surface for air right in front of where lunch was served. These tours are like no other that you experienced from a cruise ship before. This is how tours should be operated. Thanks for another “Best day ever” experience, Adventure Antigua!

This trip was amazing! My husband and I got picked up from the beach of the resort we were staying at, which was very convenient.
Arion, Jron, and Tyrese made the trip so much fun! They were an amazing and knowledgeable crew. They pointed out different sights as we were traveling down the coast and different wildlife that we saw on the various islands. We even saw some sea turtles in the water.
Hell's Gate was awesome! We got to climb through the cave and walk across the bridge.
Snorkeling was equally as awesome. You have the option to do a distance route or stay closer to the boat. We did the distance route, which was led by Jron. We saw a ton of different fish and corral. We even saw a barracuda and Jron picked up a moon jelly fish to show us all.
The final little island we stopped at had a ton of conch shells - we were able to take one if we wanted to.
This was a great trip and highly recommend it!
