- ellenrose180 contributionsExercise and Tour at it's bestI can't rate this excursion highly enough. Don't worry if you're not a great cyclist as I'm certainly not. Our guide Mark immediately put me at ease and was encouraging throughout the whole tour. I learnt alot about the island too as Mark was also very informative on island sights and history. Antigua is relatively flat, motorists are considerate and the guides have mapped out a thoughtful route to the sites that you're barely on busy roads. Wear swim kit under your clothes as there is a good rest stop on the beach after kyack.Written 20 December 2022
- LizD19830 contributionsExcellent! What a lovely morning with Mark and Giles. The activities were perfect and well paced, very informative commentary and we learned a lot! Love the ethos here, it’s a lovely way to see some of the island and raise a few endorphins. Thankyou ❤️Written 15 November 2021
- Leslie H0 contributionsGreat time, great guide!HIghly recommend time spent with this group. Our guide was fantastic and we had a lovely hike! Affordable as well.Written 14 September 2020
- itseni0 contributionsVery pleasant and accommodating when ship couldn’t get into port! Easy refund. Our ship was unable to navigate the channel this morning to get to port. I made a phone call to Giles and he was very quick to say he would refund our tour. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. Dang we were looking forward to Antigua and this excursion based on the reviews! Thank you for being so accommodating and friendly! We will definitely book again on our next trip through Antigua.Written 10 January 2020
- onetimesue0 contributionsExcellent activity! Two couples went on this tour and had a great time! Light physical activity combined with beautiful scenery and island information. Be sure to take you swim suit or wear it under your athletic clothes. I’m in my 50’s and not in great shape and this tour was fun and relaxing! Kayak was easy on smooth water. Super fun! Mark and Giles do a great job of taking care of everyone!Written 26 November 2019
- susanlst0 contributionsFun, fun, fun!We had a wonderful morning of kayaking, biking and hiking with Giles and Mark. They provided great bikes, helmets, kayaks and life vests, all we had to provide was the power to move the bikes and kayaks. This is a great way to see beautiful Antigua, and to see things no one else will show you. We loved seeing jelly fish up close. We saw lots of wildlife, and our guides described it all and gave us a history lesson as well. Giles and Mark are excellent guides. They made sure we were safe and that we had a great time. Take advantage of this unique opportunity and give them a call. I highly recommend this excursion.Written 9 November 2019

- Tourist6266420 contributionsFantastic TourMyself and my partner had no idea what to expect, but from the moment we met the two guides Mark & Charles, we knew we were in great hands. Their knowledge and passion for the environment was amazing, taking us off the beaten track to discover the real Antigua. The guides could not do enough for us and always had our safety and enjoyment in mind. Would definitely recommend, just for the enthusiasm of the guides alone. We will be back for a longer tour.Written 20 September 2019
- Liz G0 contributionsFantastic Family Adventure! This eco-tour brings the family together for a day of fun and memory making. It is great for all ages and we would highly recommend it if your looking for an adventure. Mark and Giles were so friendly and informative which made the trip even better. Our expectations were exceeded with all aspects of the trip and it turned out to be a great day.Written 12 August 2019
- only_work_2_travel0 contributionsBest tour for the money for cruise goers!!I had the pleasure of being on their tour earlier this year (april 2019). While it was a small challenge to find them once off the boat (Royal Carribean docked at a pier just down the road), that was the only downside. (perhaps have a rep at both docks to greet you and bring you to the office once you grow your team??) In our group was me (44), my husband (46) , my daughter (16), and my mother in law (62). Non of us are very active sports wise, but that was not a problem. Even my MIL had not ridden a bike in over 30 years, she had no issues with the tour. Our fearless leader kept a good pace and was always on the look out for my MIL (much appreciated). So we biked a short ways to the opposite pier where we could see a great view of the ships at dock. We were given some fantastic tidbits on the country while we rested a bit. Then off to where the kayaks were located. We hopped in and took an awesome kayak tour in the river .. again more info on the wildlife and area, kinda awesome... once done back on the bikes to head up to the fort for some amazing pictures and even more info on this area and history. we all loved every bit of this tour package. would definitely do it again and highly recommend this to all those who can ride a bike ages 10-99 (if you still have the pep in your step for the activities :) ).Written 7 August 2019
- Rowbiedoo0 contributionsAt last a cycle tour in Antigua!I did the Fort James cycle tour with my husband and three girls. This involved cycling out of St Johns through the harbour and to the Mangrove to learn about the ecosystem there while kayaking. We then cycled on to Fort James and relaxed on the beach before exploring the fort with our two guides, Mark and Giles. We have done assorted bike tours in lots of different cities and countries around the world and this tour has the elements that make it a ‘good bike tour’ for us: * It is small (there was one other couple on the tour) * The equipment was of good quality (new) * We were able to combine the ‘thrill’ of busy city cycling as well as scenic countryside by riding on safe backroads. * There were other elements apart from cycling in the trip * Mark and Giles were very contentious - giving a running commentary of history etc and also ensuring that everyone was safe on the bikes by taking the lead and the back of the group. Our one concern was that it might be too hot to cycle, however, the route runs along the harbour and the coast road, so the sea breezes were very pleasant. It was a really nice way to spend a morning and Mark and Giles were very generous with their time.Written 1 August 2019
- Stacia A0 contributionsUnique Tour Experience for All!I have been putting off this review for way too long, but let me say, I cannot recommend Triflexcursion enough! We had a great experience from start to finish, and Mark and Giles were so kind, informative, and accommodating! First, we had mistakenly booked an earlier tour than we had realized. Instead of canceling when we missed our appointment time, Mark reached out until he got ahold of us and allowed us to reschedule for a time later that day. I could not believe this as most places would cancel your reservation and keep your payment, but not Mark and Giles! My boyfriend and I were the only two on our tour, and Mark and Giles made it such a special day. We started off by doing some biking through the city (don’t be nervous about doing this! It was so easy!), then we parked our bikes just outside the city and went kayaking in a small bay. Mark and Giles told us all about the birds, sea creatures, and plants that we saw as we went. I had booked this partially because of its advertising as an eco-tour and was not disappointed. They emphasized the respectful distance we needed to maintain between us and the animals and informed us about the importance of the habitat we were observing. What stood out to me most, however, was that as we were kayaking, Mark took trash out of the water to throw away once we got back. Talk about walking the walk! Finally, after kayaking, we biked to a beautiful beach and had some time for lunch, drinks, and relaxing before we did a short hike to Fort James. I cannot recommend this tour enough. This is a new company, and they absolutely deserve every one of these five stars. They are very reasonably priced, and this is a tour that is suitable for everyone, regardless of your activity level. Though we were staying in Antigua, this tour is also short enough to do if you are just here for the day. Out of the several tours we did while staying in Antigua, I can honestly say this was the best one, and there is nothing else like it! Book it and you won’t be disappointed!Written 11 July 2019
- brl03010 contributionsGreat TIme!!We were in Antigua for a week and decided to check out the tour. Mark and Giles were awesome and you can tell they really enjoy what they do. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a few hours while in Antigua. I enjoyed getting to pick their brains about life on the island and they were a wealth of knowledge on the history of the island. Next time we are there, I wouldn't hesitate to do another tour with them. Each of the activites were plenty easy enough for any skill level and the bikes and kayaks were in great shape.Written 27 April 2019
- Chris S0 contributionsSo much fun! What a fantastic tour. We were staying at Saint James Club and would have never seen half of what we were able to see by hiking, biking, and kayaking with Mark and Giles. They were a great team who developed a great course for all levels of ability. We began by riding bikes through town, then kayaked through mangroves, and then hiked through old forts. Mark and Giles also took us to a quiet, secluded beach where we were able to enjoy a few beers after taking a dip. Mark and Giles were incredibly knowledgeable and this definitely added a lot to our trip. Highly suggest if you are ever in Antigua!Written 24 April 2019
- kimwP5069WW0 contributionsTourMarcus and Giles are the perfect hosts! They’re very knowledgeable and supportive! They’re encouraging and will accommodate your skill level in each activity! I hadn’t been on a bike in probably 25 years or more, and I felt so comfortable riding with these gentlemen! My husband and I enjoyed seeing and learning about the local culture! It’s really a trip worth doing! We also had a great time! Kim and StanWritten 24 April 2019

Brilliant tour with Giles today - we absolutely loved it.
We had booked the 12:00 tour & he was a little late back from his first tour - but thankfully we got through to his partner who told us that he was on his way.
I would highly recommend - Giles is so knowledgable, not just about the history and areas of St John’s, but also about the wildlife, trees and fruit. It was a brilliant tour & we really enjoyed it.
Very grateful for the beer at the beach, a little break before exploring Fort James.
Cycling through the new builds and understanding about the affordable housing for civil servants was interesting too.
Great tour from start to finish, loved it.
Thank you so much

We were lucky enough to be foursome with Giles and to escape the hustle and bustle of the crusaders and the quite aggressively courting taxi drivers.
The excursion began with a small bike ride through the city. Afterwards we cycled to a lagoon that we explored in a kayak before cycling to a dream beach with a beautiful beach bar. The subsequent walk to an old fort was also beautiful and very informative due to the explanations of Giles. Thank you for those hours.

The tour was supposed to include biking, hiking & Kayaking. The water level was too low for Kayaking, which actually worked out well because it gave us more time on the beach, which was nice. The beach was in front of a resort and we were able to use their facilities (chairs, bathroom, bar, etc). It was a beautiful beach with clear water and soft white sand. Not much hiking involved either, which was also fine because we enjoyed being on the bikes most of the time and seeing the city.
The bikes were good quality mountain bikes and there were 6 people on the tour. Giles was a great guide. The bike riding started right off the bat in the city at the cruise terminal, which was fine for us, but non-experienced bike riders might not like it. There wasn't any major elevation associated with the biking so it was a very easy ride.

I'm so grateful to have had a solo tour with Gilles! We had a great tour around town and then rode to Deep Bay beach in Five Islands village. We weren't able to do our kayaking due to weather conditions but Gilles ensured that he filled the time appropriately. I also ended up being a little slower than I expected due to heat exhaustion and Gilles was very patient and accommodating. We stopped for breaks as necessary. The conversation was nice as well and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the day!

We can recommend the trip without reservation. We were lucky enough to go with Giles. He was just great. He pays a lot of attention to his participants in city traffic. He explains a lot about plants, trees and history along the way.

A fantastic excursion with Giles. 3 hours on bikes, kayak and a bit of a walk. Cycling through the city centre and market was the highlight - all felt very safe and motorists were very considerate
Giles gave some history and facts too.
Nothing too strenuous, but great to get out.
Bikes great quality and well maintained, overall we would highly recommend this tour!

A great experience. Giles & Mark were very knowledgeable of the area & made you feel safe throughout the trip. Seeing Antigua by bike is a great alternative to a bus tour etc.. The lagoon was great by kayak! Not overly physical, would highly recommend 👍👍

Giles was the best tour guide! This tour was informative and interesting. Bike ride was through the town with Giles giving information the entire time. The Kayaking was in an estuary and again Files was so informative. Then the short hike to the Fort with again more history of the island. We would highly recommend this tour to those who don’t want to sit on a bus.

Great excursion - Mark and Giles were brilliant guides, friendly, knowledgable and fun! The activity level is well judged, you really don't want to be rushing around in 27 degree heat. The biking, kayaking and hiking (please rename it the 3 'kings tour) were all nice and gentle and suitable for people of all fitness levels. We did the trip early in our stay in Antigua and it was a nice introduction to the island and to the lovely people in our group. On top of all of this was the very high level of care shown - if you're worried about the cycling or kayaking, be reassured these guys were highly aware and well organised to ensure the group were safe at all times. My wife Luisa and I would unreservedly recommend!

Giles was a great tour guide, very professional je had asked us for our heights so he could get out bikes at the right height before we got there and even took us to the bank to to help us get some more money exchanged. He was knowledgeable about Antigua and took us to some incredible spots. Everyone should do this tour as the first thing to do in Antigua so you can get a perspective of the island . All people who are in resorts should do this to get a sense of the different geographies and historical influences of Antigua.

I’m looking to book for 3 adults on May 5. We’re scheduled to arrive via Norwegian at 8am and your activity is scheduled to start at 9. Is that sufficient time to get there? What happens if ship is late?
Written 19 March 2023
Unless there is a large group scheduled Giles will wait for you. You can walk from boat to destination (meeting) point. It’s well worth doing. We did excursion with Giles in February and it was TREMENDOUS….Enjoy

Please advise if a taxi can pick us up at our resort? I just booked this Bike trip for 3/25 for 3 people at the Royalton.
Written 10 March 2020
Yes ,we reserved a taxi the day before our excursion. Just go to the guest service counter and they do it for you. The driver will bring you to Triflexcursion office and will pick you up at whatever time you want. We had planned to have lunch in St-John’s after the excursion was over and do a little shopping so asked the cab to pick us up at 2 pm. You pay the driver only once you get back to the resort.

I'll be single on the island for a few days. Can I book as a single? It doesn't seem to let me.

Email or call them. A single person would be fine in this group. It is a fun excursion.

We will be on the Crown Princess scheduled to be docked at Antigua on 12/21 at 9:00AM. This tour appears to start at 9:00 AM. Could we start this tour later on this date as we’ve cruised enough to know that 9 doesn’t always mean 9 and we need to get to the meeting point as well?

They are located right by the cruise ships.
We were staying at The Sugar Ridge Resort and took
a taxi to the Bike, Kayak and hike tour. Mark was telling us
the cruise ships were right near his location.
I hope this helps. You can also try to reach Mark through email.
