Visit Everglades National Park's Shark Valley to search for alligators, crocodiles, and other wildlife on a guided tram tour. The open-sided trams give unobstructed views so you can safely see and photograph wildlife. The naturalist tour guides are experts at spotting animals and explaining the fascinating Everglades ecosystem so you're assured a positive experience.
What to Expect
Make your way to Shark Valley in Everglades National Park, where you’ll board an open-sided tram for a guided trip through the Everglades’ sawgrass prairies.
Throughout the tour, the naturalist guides will help spot wildlife and explain the things you see—this is a great chance to ask questions about the Everglades. Halfway through the tram tour, climb to the top of a 45-foot (14-meter) observation tower for views that extend 20 miles (31 kilometers) across the Everglades, which stretch to the horizon in every direction.
The Shark Valley tram tour concludes at the original departure point, close to walking trails, visitor services, and Everglades National Park gift shops.

Great tour, guide was a little underwhelming

This tour was recommended to me by someone at the Big Cypress Visitors Center. I read some really favorable Trip Advisor reviews and decided to book it for myself and my 3 kids. The views were beautiful, we saw a lot of birds and gators,...More

We chose to do a tram rather than an airboat & we were so pleased we did. We had a lovely guide, Andrea, I think was her name. She was extremely informative & not too serious. We saw lots of alligators & they would stop...More

The shark valley tram tour is independently operated by a concessionaire, so that fee to ride the tram is on top of the National Park Service entrance fee. The NPS entry fee is $30 per vehicle. The tram tour tickets cost... More

We parked at the site where you can buy the tickets. There was no charge. This was during the government shutdown so I do not know if this was typical. I saw a parking lot farther from the welcome center.
