- Trip197062203710 contributionsYoshimi was the perfect guide for our tour of Tokyo. She is knowledgeable about the locations visited. Our 6 hour private car tour was excellent. Having the driver pick us up at each location after visiting was so convenient particularly since it was fairly hot in Tokyo. Yoshimi is an excellent guide. She picked interesting locations to visit.Written 2 September 2024

- morgandU576ZI0 contributionsNikko is a must visit, especially during the Summer. Our guide Yoshimi was absolutely wonderful. She has such an amazing personality, was very welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Yoshimi also gave us amazing recommendations for the rest of our stay in Japan. As for Nikko, it is a must see if you are visiting tokyo and have the time to visit. We went during a national holiday, so there was a lot of traffic, but it was still worth visiting despite that. If you are visiting Tokyo during the summer, then Nikko is even more worth visiting as it is much cooler in the mountains. Overall it was an amazing day to remember, and again thank you to Yoshimi for being an amazing guide.Written 13 August 2024

Great way to hit all the highlights of Tokyo then decide later which areas you would like to explore in more depth. Yoshimi gives you a great overview and history of Tokyo area which really helps you to understand the history and culture of Tokyo. I would highly recommend this tour and Yoshimi and Toshi! - g8rgal030 contributionsFun times, even in the rain! Our family of five had a wonderful day on this tour with Yuko and our driver, Toshi. Yuko was knowledgeable about the locations we visited and provided interesting historical context. Yuko and Toshi also made some itinerary adjustments during the day due to some inclement weather and added in a fascinating stop at an historic samurai house, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I also have to mention that Yuko took lots of pictures for us, she impressed our kids with her origami skills on the ride to Nikko, and Toshi gifted us with delicious Japanese snacks—the extra hospitality made the day really special.Written 13 July 2024
- susanhG1867IV0 contributionsGreat, comfortable private tour of Kamakura and YokohamaBoth tour guide and driver were prompt, friendly and very helpful. The car was very comfortable. Yokohama/Kamakura are 1-1.5hrs from Tokyo, but so very different in terms of vibe and energy. Kamakura had a fun beach town vibe to it, and Yokohama is much larger but has some interesting sites as well. Our guide was able to share local history and knowledge to make the trip more meaningful. The company helped craft a great private tour from a list of different options, and even booked a lovely 5-star sushi lunch for us in Kamakura. I would definitely recommend this tour company.Written 9 July 2024

- Sandy W0 contributionsGreat tour of YokohamaOur tour guide Teddy was able to create a custom tour for our family of 9 people that included elementary age kids and multiple seniors over 70. He communicates promptly over text messages to identify our interests and needs, such as the need for frequent bathroom breaks and to stay out of the humid hot June weather as much CB as possible. We visited the ramen museum, cup o noodles factory, the Pokémon center in Yokohama, lunch in Chinatown and a driving tour of the city landmarks. Of note was that he called ahead to the pokemon center and discovered that there was a new release that day, and that they would only allow a limited number of people to enter if they stood in line and grab the ticket first thing in the morning. He arranged our tour so that we could get an entrance ticket first thing in the morning and to return back to the Pokémon center in between trips to the other sites that we wanted to see. He went above and beyond just with this one act so that we were able to pack in a full day in Yokohama and see everything that we wanted to without over exerting members of our family. He was patient, communicative and coordinated with precision each rendezvous with the driver of our small tour van so that we spent very little time waiting to be picked up from the different sites we visited. What was especially impressive was how he found us a restaurant in Chinatown at lunchtime when nearly every restaurant was packedand at capacity. He speaks English, both Cantonese and Mandarin and Spanish! Our family highly recommends working with Teddy and his company.Written 5 July 2024

She catered to our interests and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended this tour.Written 1 July 2024

Yuko and Toshi were a great team for our day trip to Mt. Fuji from Tokyo. Yuko's knowledge of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areas was extensive, and she did a great job explaining not just the sites, but aspects of the plants, trees, nature, and geology of the mountain as well. Toshi was an excellent driver, and also had good information to share about the sights we saw on the drive from Tokyo to the Mt. Fuji area. We hit traffic on the way back to our hotel, and Toshi did a great job making sure that we got back safely.
Prior to our trip, Yuko was wonderful at communication to make sure that what we saw would be in line with our interests, as there's no way that anyone can see all that Mt. Fuji has to offer in just one day trip. She was able to put together an itinerary that suited our needs, and was willing to adjust our plans even on the day of the trip.
There are less expensive day-trip options, but we felt that this was great value for the dollar. We're very happy with the experience, and would love to have Yuko and Toshi show us around again when we come back.

This tour catered for everyone in our family of 7 (ranging in ages from 91 to 13).
Yuko our guide was extremely polite, knowledgeable & fun. Taka the driver was also a very polite & accomodating host as he very safely drove us to and around our destination.
Yuko contacted me prior to the tour to confirm our itinerary & ask if we wanted to make any alterations. On the day she also ensured that everyone in our group was catered for including the older family members with less mobility than the younger ones in our group.
Yuko has a wide knowledge of Japan & Japanese history & culture which she shared patiently with everyone. Not only did we see the beautiful sites around Mt. Fuji but we all really felt like we knew a lot more about Japan by the end of the day.

Dear Nes I am truly honored to be your guide for giving me such fantastic feedback. It is my great pleasure to show you and your wonderful family around my hometown area of Mt. Fuji from various angles under the clear blue winter sky. You also enjoyed Diamond Fuji, which can only be seen during this season, and a magical sunset from the hill near Lake Yamanaka! I also enjoyed chatting with your curious father in the car with our driver Taka, which is a wonderful memory for me. Thank you very much for choosing TSA's tour.

Toshi and Misuzu were our great partners during this trip. Before we hit the road, Toshi ensured to install a car seat for our little boy. The van we used was extremely great with lots of accessories to pud our things on like the multiple cup holders. We were also provided with Mt. Fuji bottled water each and I took one home for souvenir ;-)
They shared a lot of trivias and fun facts about Japan and Japanese culture in between our travel time. Our itinerary was fully done according to our list and Toshi even brought us to Mt. Fuji's secret place. However, the master of invisibility was covered with fogs at the time we arrived. Yet, we also got lucky because earlier that day, the weather was so fine that we were able to get a beautiful picture of Mt. Fuji at Oishi Park and at the Chureito Pagoda. We are superbly happy of their excellent guiding service that we will surely recommend this to our relatives and friends and that we will surely avail of their service again if given the chance to be able to get back to lovely Japan.

We had our driver Tak pick us up from our hotel in Tokyo and our guide Tomomi meet us near Mt Fuji and travel with us for the duration of the tour.
Tak was prompt, efficient, always waiting and allowed us to go to many places that would have otherwise taken a long time. He even provided us snacks in the car.
Tomomi was one of the best tour guides we’ve had so far in our Japan trip. She was incredibly patient and so knowledgable in the area and we got some great views of Mt Fuji and the Sakura in full bloom. She kept all of us engaged (including my 8 year old son - which is a hard task!) and took us to wonderful places like the lava caves which we would have otherwise not gone to. She was able to change the itinerary based on crowds and suggest places that would make the day more enjoyable. This is the best part of having a private guide and one that knows the area so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with her and wish we could have her as our guide all the time in Japan!
She and Tak even managed arrange the return of items my parents left in the car. Their service is incredible. Do not hesitate to book this trip and ask for Tomomi and Tak. You will have a fantastic time like we did.

We had a great experience end to end for this tour- from the very beginning of booking when the tour company is very accommodating and even helped to find one mini bus to take all of our several families traveling together. Through out the period leading to the trip, they have one coordinator (Taiji-san) communicating with us promptly answering all of our questions and helping suggest the itinerary since there are many places to choose from. On the day of the tour our tour guide Yoshimi-san is so nice, caring and knowledgeable, she even gave us a history lesson of Japan on our way and planned our lunch with a local hotto noodle place so when we get there we can already sit down and enjoy the delicious food. And of course the weather is perfect, the scenery is beautiful, and our whole group had an amazing trip! I’d highly recommend this tour!

We signed up for the day tour to Mt Fuji and it was excellent! I have been to Mt Fuji many years ago but what made this trip special was our guide and driver. Guide Ms Yoshimi was wonderful! She contacted me before the tour to find out if we have specific needs and requests. And throughout the trip she ensured we maximized our time so we could see as many sites as possible. Her explainations were not restricted to Mt Fuji. She also took time to give extra information about Japan as a country and give interesting details about the rest of Japan. We could tell she really enjoys her work and genuinely wants us to have a good time.
Our driver Mr Takashi was wonderful too! He was polite and not like the usual drivers. He would take time to chat with us and help my elderly parents in and out of the car. He would also accommodate and make small detours when we make a request. A lot of time was spent on the road for this itinery but the ride was super comfy and smooth and enjoyable.
Overall huge credit to our guide Ms Yoshimi and our driver Mr Takashi for making this trip super enjoyable for our family!

My family and I booked the Tokyo Star Agency's private car tour of the Mount Fuji 5-lakes region in early-April (2024). The tour was definitely one of the highlights of our entire vacation. Our guide, Taisho, and our driver, Tak, provided an incredible experience that our family will cherish and remember throughout our lifetime. They were able to accommodate our customized itinerary as well as take us to several other popular and historic sites within the area. The sights were breathtaking, but the historical information both Taisho and Tak provided made everything that much more amazing. It really felt like we were travelling with two close friends. If you have an opportunity to take a tour with them, I would highly recommend it. Thank you again, Taisho and Tak!!!

Mr. Chihara
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. I'm glad to hear that you had a good time around Mt. Fuji.
Mt. Fuji holds a special significance for many Japanese people who departed from Yokohama Port and headed towards North and South America until the 1960s—it symbolizes their homeland that they would always cherish it. It was my great pleasure to guide you there, and if you were able to feel the essence of Japan or reminisce about your memories, then I couldn't be happier. If you ever plan to return to Japan in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out.

This tour was absolutely perfect for us. We only had one day to see Fuji and our guide, Masae, did a great job of showing us both cultural and historic sights with views of Mt. Fuji. She suggested an amazing lunch where we got to try hoto for the first time (delicious). She also went above and beyond, bringing Japanese candy for our kids to try and really learning about what our family wanted and needed. Our driver Kasu was also great— going out of his way to take photos for us and sharing with us. We felt safe the whole time we were in the van, even navigating Tokyo traffic (which is no joke).
