Our guide and driver Yoshi did a great job. He drove us to the sites and gave us lots of interesting information about the places we visited. He even took us to a 50-year old restaurant for a delicious Japanese lunch. Our trip was really great!

Tour guide was Ali which was super polite and servicial all the day long, he took us to Fuji mount and different places close there, it was such a good experience! Japan it’s a must if you still think in about booking here

Ali was our tour guide. He was nice and shared a decent amount of information at each stop. He was also patient given that there were five of us in the group.

Such an amazing trip out to Mt Fuji area. Our personal travel guide Ali took us to our first stop, Oshino Hakkai, beautiful little village with ponds, shopping and eatery. Then he took us to two lakes, Lake Kawaguchi and Saiko Lake with the view of flowers and My Fuji in the background. He also took a to visit Fujisengem Jinja Shrine, such a beautiful place, 1000 year old trees and 7 color maple trees, not to mention the shrine. Also visited an old village; Saiko Iyashi. We had a few options for our last stop and opted for the bat cave, an experience worth your time. Ali also took the initiative of taking many family photos while visiting the different areas. I would highly recommended Ali and TripAdvisor

We were supposed to have an English speaking guide. We got a driver who speaks English The itinerary is ok, but if in July 5th station is packed with tourists, say it in advance.

No stars is more like it. My husband and I were very excited for this day trip. However, like many have said no communication from this company at all. I'm in Japan at the moment, day before we were to go on this excursion and just got notice that it was cancelled by the tour operator. No reasoning was given. We have been trying to call to find out and no answer. Save yourself the heartache of trying to rearrange and book something else last minute. Go with a different tour operator.

This was by far the worst “guide” I have come across. Calling him a “guide” is a major stretch. He was nothing of the sorts. Upon arriving he didn’t greet us, tell us where we were going, give any form of outline or anything. Speaking to him was like drawing blood out of a stone. He did seem to know things about the area but never offered up information, only ever spoke when asked. Isn’t the point of a guide to inform you about the area? There was no engagement and no level of enthusiasm. Seemed like being in the car with us was the most boring thing he could imagine to do. He was also constantly speaking to his friends on the phone when we were in the car, driving with the phone in hand texting people and speeding around mountain corners at over 80km when the limit stated 40km. For our Day 2 pickup he was 30 minutes late, which is fine we understand things happen. But once he arrived he didn’t apologise or say anything. He often asked “where to next”. Well we have paid you for the tour so you tell us - we have never been here before. Upon leaving us at the station he didn’t even say goodbye to the group. Said goodbye to one person and left. What an awful experience to have to deal with for 2 whole days paying good money for it too. The level of professionalism was next to none and the rudeness at times was hard to believe. It seems this company doesn’t have ANY screening process for their guides. So do not book on the risk of getting a bad one.

Up to the night before we had no contact from Nippon Voyage Tours. Contact was made when we cancelled another day tour to Mount Fuji for a day later. The driver for the Tokyo day tour Naveen was pleasant and drove us where we asked him to go but he was not guide. Apparently a friend asked him to help the night before. Sincere warnings to book with Nippon Voyage Tours and also watch the ratings given by Tripadvisor.

We thoroughly enjoyed the drive to Mt. Fuji. On the way we stopped at Oshino-Shibokusa, a small village where we got to see traditional houses and beautiful gardens. We also stopped at a shrine in Fujiyoshida - Kamiyoshida before the drive up to 5th Station (Mt. Fuji). Rana, our tour guide and driver for the day was very knowledgeable and made our trip entertaining and exciting. We ere able to see Mt. Fuji in all her splendor both from Station 5 and also from Arakurayama Sengen Park. I highly recommend this tour.

DO NOT BOOK!!! This tour operator is highly unprofessional and had spoilt what was meant to be a very special trip for us during our Honeymoon. Firstly, we never had any communication from them prior to the trip. We had to chase them and at the last hour had a one word confirmation that we will be picked up from our hotel at 8:30 am the day of the trip. Secondly, on the actual day of our trip, at 6 am we received a text asking if they can collect us at 7:30 am because of the traffic in Tokyo…there was absolutely no consideration of giving us sufficient notice to get ready. We were told that they will wait for us at our hotel’s lobby regardless when we can be ready. We rushed our breakfast and were in the lobby by 8 am to find no one there waiting for us. Thirdly, when we texted this tour operator to find out why they are not in the lobby as this was what we expected given our prior communication with them, we received a photo of a car and multiple text messages asking where we are and where our hotel was. This was quite a shock. Eventually we received a phone call from a highly argumentative driver telling us that he is at our hotel and we are not there. After exchanging some strong words with this guy, he turned up outside in an old van which looked like it was about to fall apart. He started shouting at us to get in. He was not Japanese/local but a foreigner from a county where ‘bait and switch’ tactics are common place. There was no guide with him. He told us that he will do both. At this point we refused to get in as neither it looked safe nor professional. Subsequently, after a few phone calls we managed to speak to Nippon Voyage Tours that operate this trip. We told them that we want a full refund and we were threatened that there will be no refund if we leave bad feedback. That said, as soon as we mentioned complaining to Japanese authorities, we received a full refund straight away. The company claims to be opwratong for 10 years. It’s a lie! They have no idea how to plan or look after tourists!!!

This was a really good experience. Our guide, Ali was knowledgeable and made the trip enjoyable even though it was snowing and cold. I highly recommend it.

Brilliant day out with Irfan. Unfortunate 5th station was closed, but everywhere he took us was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly.

The trip was amazing and the guide that gave the tour knew a lot of things about the spots and was very friendly.

Super respectful guide. He allowed us to choose how long we wished to visit each place. He drove us to a lunch place of our choice. His explanations of the mount Fuji shrine was clear and he took the time to explain. The tour felt magical, I cannot describe it any other way. Irfan was an excellent chaufeur and guide. We got info wherever we needed it and we also got freedom at each stop to explore and fully immerse ourselves in the rich history of this magnificent country. The van was extremely comfortable and spacious and Irfan his driving was suberb. Absolutely amazing and would recommend to anyone.
