Nicolas’s tour is super thoughtful and thoroughly enjoyable. He is very communicative and prompt. He has deep knowledge of the history, the food options and photo opportunities across all the places. Loved seeing the falls, sending off lanterns, eating fresh guava, ice cream, jiufen restaurant, and seeing all the cats in houtong. He has also formed good relationships with store owners in the area, which is very evident in his interactions and no wait. He even has restaurant and tea recommendations that we got to enjoy during the rest of our stay. We left from taipei at 9am, but recommend starting even earlier to minimize the crowds. We booked a custom tour for two and were picked up promptly by Jimmy, our guide and driver. He took us to all the sights on our itinerary. Jimmy was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Taipei and Taiwan from him. He was a very good guide. If there was a negative it was that he was a very slow driver (going 60 in a 90) so drive time was longer than expected. Otherwise good tour.

The tour company, YOLO, was very responsive in answering any questions I had. Our tour guide, Hicks Wang, accommodated our request to start a half hour earlier with pickup at the Keelong cruise terminal. We left the sights to visit up to him and he did not disappoint. Hicks managed our time efficiently and got us to two different changing of the guard ceremonies right on time. This was our first time in Taiwan and thanks to Hicks, we got a great overview of the island along with its history. Hicks made sure we were well informed by answering our questions and ensuring that we were comfortable. He also took great photographs of the two of us. His English was very good which is important to enjoying your tour. If you’re thinking of a private tour in Taiwan, we highly recommend Yolo Tours and request Hicks Wang for your guide.

Nice sightseeing tour of Taipei. Covered most all of the major points of interest in this tour. Vincent Lee was great. He was very knowledgeable and tries his best to customize a tour course based on your personal preferences. Really, I think that’s what you want most from your guide. He’s very thorough. Also.. he loves taking action photos of you and Taipei’s highlights in the background!

One-day cruise ship visit. First time in Taiwan. We wanted to experience old & new Taipei & local culture. The company sent whatsapp contact info 1 week before tour, including driver/guide name & contact details. Guide contacted us several days before tour. Pick-up at Keelung Port was on-time, easy & uncomplicated. We saw Longshan temple, local food markets, Taipei 101 tower, Chaing Kai-Shek memorial hall, martyrs shine, changing of the guards, Keelung night food market & had a wonderful Taiwanese beef noodle meal at a small restaurant very popular with locals. Our guide, Chaing Chaing was knowledgeable & personable & gave us a memorable touring experience. Thankyou again Chaing. Everything we had hoped for. Highly recommended.

Wonderful half day tour to Juifen, Shifen old street, sky lanterns, old mine, amazing waterfalls with Roger. Roger was very helpful and kind and explained history, nature and gave important hints.

Buckle up for an amazing tour of Taipei! Jimmy was outstanding and showed us not only the typical "go to" tourist spots but a lot of local attractions. He also has a deep knowledge of the history and really was pleasant to spend the day with on a tour.

Bubble and Peter were awesome guides for our family. They communicated with us prior to the trip the night before and we were able to plan out our itinerary the morning of our tour. They went out of their way to accommodate the elderly in our group as well. We really appreciated the taiwanese history, stories, and walking us through Juifen's stores and eateries! We would not have been able to enjoy and see as much in one day if we didn't book this custom tour.

We had a wonderful time on this trip out from Taipei into the hills. Our guide Jimmy Lim was brilliant. He was really warm and welcoming and gave us loads of fascinating background on Taiwan. The lattern festival was a unique and brilliant experience. The waterfall visit really nice. Juifen is busy but really interesting. Check the weather it can be wet and chilly up there when nice in Taipei. Overall would highly recommend. Even though we only had 3 nights in Taipei we are really glad we did this. It was a really special day.

We had a day tour to Yehliu, Jiufen, Shifen. Our guide Lief was very knowledgeable of Taiwan history and of the Taipei area. Lief was willing to help and was full of energy and entertaining. The locations were very scenic. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting Tawian.

The tour is good but by no means great. The sulphur emissions are interesting but you can't see far due to fog that seems almost always present. The other things in the area were so ordinary that they shouldn't even be part of the trip. They showed us grasslands with a few water buffalos grazing. If you are from Asia, water buffalos are the most ordinary things. They also showed a small pond where the water is white due to minerals, calling it the milk pond. Hardly interesting. They also showed a little shallow rainwater pond which they called a lake! It is definitely not anything like a lake. However, the flower clock area is very interesting and worth spending time.
