Wonderful olive oil, lunch, and wine. We first learned about extra virgin olive oil and how it is made (I never knew!). We also went down into the depths of the wine cellar and could feel the dampness volcanic walls. We were shown some olive trees and three different types of grapes. We then sat down under a canopy outside and had lunch paired with four generous wine tastings. Serena was the perfect tour guide and allowed us plenty of time to eat and chat and ask questions. No push to sell wine (we did buy some but that was all us). One of the excursions I have taken.

Probably the best evening of our vacation! Alessandro was a fantastic guide for our wine tour. I loved the wine, but the people we met were even better. As someone who has done extensive wine touring and tasting, this was among the best I have experienced.

Splendido Tours exceeded our expectations! My friend and I asked for recommendations for a 3 day pre-trip before joining a tour in Amalfi provided by Cultural Discovery Vacations. Our goal was to experience the people, wine and food of Umbria. Daniele arranged accommodations in Foligno and two tours. Everything was excellent. We had a wonderful tour guide in Assisi who was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The next day he arranged two winery tours in Montefalco including dinner at one of the wineries. Our guide and the tour were outstanding. Daniele helped us every step of the way; providing excellent information about the location, transportation and dining. I can wholeheartedly recommend Splendido Tours.

Our cooking class with Carla was everything we had expected; she was prompt and had everything set up ready to go. The recipes and techniques that we learned will remain with my husband and I always. Our tour of the area with Linda was very interesting and I was most appreciative of her consideration for my mother and aunt both of whom are seniors and needed extra time. Carla also helped my mother and aunt secure hair appointments, something she did not have to do. We would definitely recommend the cooking experience and tour which we booked through Splendido.

We stayed in Soriano for five days with the help of Carla and Linda. Carla arranged our stay in an apartment with a beautiful view of the valley below, WiFi, kitchen, air conditioning, and a convenient location to the town square. She also arranged a cooking class in her apartment, which is right on the square and so lovely. We learned to make gnocchi and tiramisu and she served us antipasti that she made and grappa after dinner. We were stuffed! She was so much fun and took great care of us. They also arranged a personal guide for our time. Linda became part of our family as we traveled through the Umbria and Tuscany region. She seemed to know everyone and we were able to have many unique experiences because of her. We learned many Italian phrases and helped her with a few English ones! Lots of laughter, fantastic food, and once in a lifetime experiences were had during our trip. I highly recommend them!

I went in Soriano with friend from USA and we were looking for an experience we could share together about traditional dishes ! We ended up in this amazing villa with cabana and authentic wood oven ! we cooked an entire menu , from fresh pasta as ravioli and a roasted chicken !!! I don't remember such a great wood oven cooked chicken neither when it was cooked by my "Nonna" All the staff and the Chef Carla are prepared and local... sooooo live like a local eating and having fun !
