About
This is one amazing trip that covers Hampta Pass trek, camping at Lake Chandratal, visit to the top of the Kunzum La at 4590 meters, the famed Spiti off-road trip with stunning landscapes, the best of Manali and truly amazing photography opportunities.
Kullu and Lahaul are two adjoining districts and are separated by the formidable Hampta pass. The Kullu/Manali valleys are green with thick forest cover and heavy rains. However, Lahaul is in a rain-shadow area with partial Trans-Himalayan barrenness. The trail to Chandratal over Hampta Pass combines both these areas gives a wonderful walk with two completely different terrains to enjoy.
Besides the truly remote and offbeat, we also explore the popular and must visit locations in and around Manali. Visit the ancient Hidimba and Manu temple, shop for souvenirs in Old Manali. Naggar castle and Roerich art gallery are also on agenda. Those seeking some thrills can indulge in zip-lining and paragliding.

- Flyer002517897450 contributionsI had the best time on the Spiti Valley tour with YoloO Life (Mountaineerz). Thanks for the fantastic timebrilliant..awesome.. big shout to the mountaineerz team for such a wonderful experience. i booked their group trip in april this year after speaking to Vicky. their expertise showed through out the trip. the stays were just great and all the hosts knew the mountaineerz team very well and took excellent care of us, special dinner was hosted in Chicham for us by Tenzin, the mountaineerz local guide... we dressed up like locals and danced with the local hosts family as friends joined in the fiesta and authentic local cuisine which i loved. The itinerary was so much better than any i found online. The driver Om was the politest and safest driver I knew.. the vehicle was quite comfortable. we were 10 of us plus our guide Vijay with 3 guests in one car... it was like a small convoy and we felt safe in the harsh terrain. the trip had been planned to the minutest of details.. we made pit stops and picnics at great locations away from the crowds and bought organic honey, chestnuts, and white tea from the farm in Kinnaur on the way.. I would highly recommend Mountaineerz to everyone planning to go to spit Valley.Written 4 August 2024
- shylajan20240 contributionsWinter Spiti - 8th MarchDon't believe in all that is written on the web page, the promises of premium accommodation, an expert local guide, and a knowledgeable tour leader, and shell out your hard-earned money. What I got from the trip I took with Yoloo.life was just ok: accommodation (nothing near premium), a driver who was always in a rush to finish the trip, and a team leader who did not know anything about the place , route, or itinerary. More over, the organisers (yoloo.life) did not even call and find out or inform about the change in the plan and places that would be skipped. We were left at the mercy of the driver. The same accommodation and the same vehicle were provided by other providers for half the price for those who were staying in the same accommodations /places where we were staying. The provider was constantly in touch with their guests. All in all, except for the beauty of the terrains/nature, nothing was exceptional. Don't fall for the false promises. My sincere advice is to check with multiple other providers before making your decision.Written 22 April 2024
- 799amardeepk0 contributionsWinter Spiti : 8th MarchI had a conversation with Nidhi in the month of February, when I was planning for winter Spiti .! I had spoken to various travel companies before deciding Yolo.life !! I had a clear ask for convenience on road ride.. I travel solo , so it's important for me to look for my safety and security. I am claustrophobic, I can't manage in tempo traveller or over crowded car with 7-8 people clogged .For me that's a difficult situation . When I had spoken to Nidhi , I first clarify on group size, she reassured and made me comfortable. That's how I decided on Yolo.life !!! It was a small group for 4 ( including team leader/travel guide). Road trip was extremely comfortable despite the unexpected weather condition, Yolo.life and the team leader kept our safety intact. Team Leader was sharing regular updates with yolo.life on our road trip ,was keeping a check on minute details on safety, health and experience. Driver was an expert and well familiar with road conditions and he was taking regular updates from local contacts to ensure our safety. Home stay was clean and cosy .I truly love the experience with locals , staying with them ! Due to weather condition I missed on few places but I have no regrets !! There is always a next time :) Thank you team for curtaining the trip for us .. :)Written 16 April 2024
- anitasV4872BN0 contributionsWinter Spiti trip - A ruined holidayWe took their services from 8th to 16th March for Winter Spiti. This supposedly is a premium trip. Their charges are exorbitant when compared to other companies. So we were looking forward for that extra bit of care and comfort, not luxury though. Lot of promises were made by both husband and wife- Vicky and Nidhi Sharma, however the services offered were not up to the mark. I understand that there are limitations in a winter Spiti trip. Infact there was another group who received better services for half the amount. Let me make things easier for you guys to understand 1. First and foremost the trip was cut short by a day and they (Driver and the team leader) have given a false information to the owner of YoloO life that we' (Me and my friend) had cut the trip shorter by a day 2. They had sent a team leader by name Shashwati who was “Useless”. She knew nothing about the place. Forget about the place she was not even aware about the itinerary. I think I had done better research about the place and knew much more than her. It looked like she was sent to make reels for their insta page and for that woman’s personal insta page at the cost of our money. 3. They do-not charge the same for every client 4. There was this driver Om Prakash - ‘Om cabs’ from Shimla who always was in a rush to finish the trip. He had already come with a mindset that he wanted to go back one day early. He only spoke and explained to the team leader about the place. We had to ask them multiple times to get the information. I have written a separate review for this man on OM Cabs page. 5. They did not even have the decorum to call and tell/inform us that because of the weather conditions the trip would be wound up one day earlier . 6. They have just outsourced it to a third party and have not even bothered to check. I don’t think they have done a recce of the places, nor have interviewed the team leader regarding her knowledge and the reason her recruitment 7. All in all it was a very bad experience for the amount we paid. Please do not go by the insta page and the promises they make. I would given them ‘Zilch’ for this but have no option for the same. 8. Their tag line for our trip was “ A mindful slow journey through the middle land”. There was nothing mindful or slow about this journey. 9. When we complained to them they believed more in the driver than us. He infact skipped 2 places saying the road was closed when the other group could access it at the same given point of time. My question is “ you are running a company from so many years, don’t you have any other source of information for the verification?. If you do not have then you are clever enough to understand where you stand and what type of experiences you are giving your clients. I would say my friend and me have had one of the worst experiences. I wish my time , money and my leaves were better invested than YoloO life. 😢😢😢Written 15 April 2024
