- JohnT1970T0 contributions100% worth it. Better than bus tourI highly recommend this tour of Mt.Fuji. It was the highlight of my 3 week trip in Japan. Our guide Shawn explained all possible changes due to weather before we start. He is excellent guide and photographer, knows about photoshoot spots around Mt.Fuji. We were able to stop some good spots where were not mentioned on itinerary. We got a lot of amazing pictures with Mt. Fuji in the backgroundWritten 6 February 2020

This was without a doubt the most enjoyable experience I've ever had overseas.
Our guide was a lovely gentlemen who really went above and beyond the call for us to have an exciting time.
We were concerned when we saw our date approach and the weather looked terrible. He was willing to move to any date that suited! Sadly in the entire 2 weeks we were in Tokyo we never saw a blue sky but our guide brilliantly articulated not only one but two extra back up plans to work with the weather and ensure we had an awesome time.
He was genuine to talk to and had a lot of funny stories and helpful advice. I HIGHLY recommend booking this trip early if not straight away when you come to Japan.
He drove us in a comfortable clean car to Fuji from Nanako.
We got to go for a tasty restaurant meal in an area known for world famous Udon.
We had a cute pit stop for coffee and tea with a view of the beautiful lakes, uninterrupted.
On the way to the next destination we even stopped for ice cream! Best ice cream I've ever had.
Explored the waterfalls that were just stunning, all the while our guide took professional photos of us to cherish forever.
He helped us to find great deals on Nick nacks and peaches.
On the way around Fuji we stopped and viewed some gorgeous scenic points overlooking the southern alps.
Lastly we got to see a quaint heritage village with a fascinating koi pond that drops 8 meters deep.
Or guide made this day one of the best in my life and I cannot recommend him any higher.
A genuine guy with real ambitions to make your time perfect.

As someone who prefers a more chill pace when touring, this has been nothing short of perfect. Sho was very friendly, and his love of traveling gave us confidence that the stops he curated for us would be awesome -- and it was! The view of Mt. Fuji towering over Lake Motosu was breathtaking. The food he prepared was awesome and we got to experience a slice of outdoor camping (minus the tents). Seeing the 1000-yen view in person was awesome, while Shiraito Falls feels like a hidden sanctuary.
For us though, the highlight of our trip was when he took us to the Asagiri Milk factory and we got to experience one of the best milk ice creams of our lives. It was so nice, we ordered twice! Our tour was flexible enough that we were able to enjoy our food and the view at our pace. To top it all off, he took lovely photos of us and he even gave us printed copies as a gift!
Overall, I highly recommend this tour if you're touring Japan, or if you just want a weekend getaway trip.

This was a perfect day trip to Mt.Fuji. After spending 3days in Tokyo, we needed to a day to decompress, so we chose a private option for the tour. Relaxing at lake motosu, having a handmade bbq and an amazing view of Mt.Fuji. We could stop some viewpoints and our guide Shawn took great photos for us. Thank you, Shawn.

I highly recommend booking this tour! Our guide, Shawn, was so friendly and knowledgeable of the Fuji area and steered clear of all the tourist trap locations of Fuji.
After briefly meeting Shawn, he customised an itinerary for us based on what we wanted to see in the area and recommendations of his own.
Shawn really went the extra mile as a tour guide, and brought his own camera to take photos of us and cook a lovely meal for lunch.
If you are looking for a tour that takes you to locations off the beaten track and allows you to really enjoy the scenery that Mount Fuji has to offer, I strongly encourage you to book this one!

My buddy and I had a fantastic time on our trip. The scenery could not have been more picturesque and we had absolutely stunning views. The impromptu photo shoots were awesome, but the highlight of the day was definitely lunch! Having homemade hotpot and ginger chicken overlooking the lake with a view of Mount Fuji is something I will never forget. If you are wondering which tour to pick, go with this one. You will not regret it.

Our tour of Mount Fuji with Shawn was an extraordinary experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to explore this iconic mountain. Shawn, our guide, is an exceptional individual whose excellent English skills, friendly demeanor, and deep passion for the outdoors made the tour enjoyable from start to finish.
Shawn’s expertise in the history and geography of Mount Fuji and its surroundings was evident from the start. His enthusiasm for the region was contagious, making each stop on our tour more engaging and memorable.
Our adventure began with a visit to the beautiful Fuji Five Lakes area. Shawn provided detailed explanations about the geological formation and significance of each lake, enriching our understanding of this stunning natural landscape. The serene beauty of Lake Kawaguchi, with Mount Fuji majestically reflected in its waters, was a highlight.
However, the most memorable part of the tour was our visit to the location depicted on the 1000 yen bill, offering a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji. Here, we enjoyed a delightful BBQ that Shawn arranged. The food was delicious, and the setting was perfect. Shawn’s stories about the cultural and historical significance of the site made the experience even more special.
Throughout the tour, Shawn’s warm personality and genuine passion for Mount Fuji and its surroundings shone through. He was attentive to our needs and ensured that everyone in the group had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
In short, Shawn’s tour of Mount Fuji and the surrounding lakes was an exceptional experience that we will cherish. His knowledge, kindness, and ability to connect with his guests make him the perfect guide for anyone looking to explore this magnificent region. There's a reason why this is the top rated Fuji tour! I cannot recommend this tour enough and look forward to future adventures with Shawn!

Had an excellent day trip to capture the Fuji-san from so close. The view from Lake Momotosu that Shougo san took us was incredibly beautiful. Also, he took many nice photographs too. We would love to do it again.
Highly recommend this tour!!

The trip was wonderfully organized and we really enjoyed it. Our guide Shawn was very good photographer and informative. He is really good at cooking and we loved authentic Japanese meals with great Mt.Fuji view. You can't miss Lake Motosu which is featured on the back of ¥1000 yen bill. The view was stunning. I will definitely recommend this trip to my friends going to Japan!

This trip was the highlight of our visit in Tokyo.
From the awesome tour guide, scrumptious meal, great views, relaxed and comfortable travel and on-time schedule, everything was perfect! The tour guide is an expert in travelling and he also took impressive photos for us to remember. He's tour is also flexible and very accommodating to suggestions and requests. I recommend this tour for the travelers who would like to experience nature at it's best while having fun <3
P.s
book this around Autumn-Winter-Spring so you'll get to see Mt Fuji on it's icy form :)

We were able to customize our experience a bit and could choose to do certain things like cooking meals using the local organicvegetables and food, stoped by supermarkets.
our guide was great and knowledgeable and cared about our comfort.
We stopped several times which kept things interesting like Shirataki Falls. We loved our lunch in the beautiful nature. My friend especially loved the hot pot and teriyaki chiken, the guide offered the seasonal food, we visited Japan in winter this time but defnituly wanna try again in another season like spring as well.
We didnt have any frined in Japan but the our guide is friendly and open and good at taking photo and cooking so we could enjoy the trip together!
it was a great day and worthwhile.

If we do not wish to return to Tokyo and want to travel on independently after the tour to Kyoto, is that possible? (i.e. we will take a train south rather than return to Nakano)
